1 Bydd yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn dod � thi i'r wlad yr wyt yn mynd iddi i'w meddiannu, ac yn gyrru allan o'th flaen lawer o genhedloedd, sef Hethiaid, Girgasiaid, Amoriaid, Canaaneaid, Peresiaid, Hefiaid a Jebusiaid, saith o genhedloedd sy'n fwy niferus a chryfach na thi;
1`When Jehovah thy God doth bring thee in unto the land whither thou art going in to possess it, and He hath cast out many nations from thy presence, the Hittite, and the Girgashite, and the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, seven nations more numerous and mighty than thou,
2 a phan fydd yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn eu darostwng o'th flaen, a thithau'n ymosod arnynt, yr wyt i'w difa'n llwyr. Paid � gwneud cyfamod � hwy na dangos trugaredd tuag atynt.
2and Jehovah thy God hath given them before thee, and thou hast smitten them — thou dost utterly devote them — thou dost not make with them a covenant, nor dost thou favour them.
3 Paid � gwneud cytundeb priodas � hwy trwy roi dy ferched i'w meibion a chymryd eu merched yn wragedd i'th feibion,
3`And thou dost not join in marriage with them; thy daughter thou dost not give to his son, and his daughter thou dost not take to thy son,
4 oherwydd fe wn�nt i'th blant droi oddi wrthyf ac addoli duwiau eraill, a bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn ddig wrthyt ac yn dy ddifa ar unwaith.
4for he doth turn aside thy son from after Me, and they have served other gods, and the anger of Jehovah hath burned against you, and hath destroyed thee hastily.
5 Ond fel hyn yr ydych i wneud iddynt: tynnu i lawr eu hallorau, dinistrio eu colofnau, a malurio eu pyst Asera a llosgi eu delwau yn y t�n.
5`But thus thou dost to them: their altars ye break down, and their standing pillars ye shiver, and their shrines ye cut down, and their graven images ye burn with fire;
6 Yr ydych chwi yn bobl sanctaidd i'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw. Y mae'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw wedi eich dewis o blith yr holl bobloedd sydd ar wyneb y ddaear, i fod yn bobl arbennig iddo ef.
6for a holy people [art] thou to Jehovah thy God; on thee hath Jehovah thy God fixed, to be to Him for a peculiar people, out of all the peoples who [are] on the face of the ground.
7 Nid am eich bod yn fwy niferus na'r holl bobloedd yr hoffodd yr ARGLWYDD chwi a'ch dewis; yn wir chwi oedd y lleiaf o'r holl bobloedd.
7`Not because of your being more numerous than any of the peoples hath Jehovah delighted in you, and fixeth on you, for ye [are] the least of all the peoples,
8 Ond am fod yr ARGLWYDD yn eich caru ac yn cadw'r addewid a dyngodd i'ch hynafiaid, daeth � chwi allan � llaw gadarn a'ch gwaredu o du375? caethiwed, o law Pharo brenin yr Aifft.
8but because of Jehovah`s loving you, and because of His keeping the oath which He hath sworn to your fathers, hath Jehovah brought you out by a strong hand, and doth ransom you from a house of servants, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
9 Felly deallwch mai'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw sydd Dduw; y mae'n Dduw ffyddlon, yn cadw cyfamod a ffyddlondeb hyd fil o genedlaethau gyda'r rhai sy'n ei garu ac yn cadw ei orchmynion,
9`And thou hast known that Jehovah thy God He [is] God, the faithful God, keeping the covenant, and the kindness, to those loving Him, and to those keeping His commands — to a thousand generations,
10 ond y mae'n talu'n �l i'r rhai sy'n ei gas�u trwy eu difa; yn wir nid yw'n oedi i dalu'n �l i'r rhai sy'n ei gas�u.
10and repaying to those hating Him, unto their face, to destroy them; He delayeth not to him who is hating Him — unto his face, He repayeth to him —
11 Yr ydych i gadw'r gorchmynion, y deddfau a'r cyfreithiau yr wyf fi heddiw yn gorchymyn i chwi eu cadw.
11and thou hast kept the command, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I am commanding thee to-day to do them.
12 Os byddwch yn gwrando ar y cyfreithiau hyn ac yn gofalu eu cadw, yna bydd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn cadw'r cyfamod a'r ffyddlondeb a dyngodd i'ch hynafiaid.
12`And it hath been, because ye hear these judgments, and have kept, and done them, that Jehovah thy God hath kept to thee the covenant and the kindness which He hath sworn to thy fathers,
13 Bydd yn eich caru, yn eich bendithio ac yn gwneud ichwi gynyddu; bydd hefyd yn bendithio'ch plant a chynnyrch eich tir, eich u375?d, eich gwin a'ch olew, ac epil eich gwartheg a'ch praidd yn y tir y tyngodd i'ch hynafiaid y byddai'n ei roi ichwi.
13and hath loved thee, and blessed thee, and multiplied thee, and hath blessed the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy ground, thy corn, and thy new wine, and thine oil, the increase of thine oxen, and the wealth of thy flock, on the ground which He hath sworn to thy fathers to give to thee.
14 Cewch eich bendithio yn fwy na'r holl bobloedd; ni fydd yr un ohonoch chwi, yn wryw na benyw, yn anffrwythlon, na'r un o'ch anifeiliaid.
14`Blessed art thou above all the peoples, there is not in thee a barren man or a barren woman — nor among your cattle;
15 Fe dry'r ARGLWYDD bob clefyd oddi wrthych, ac ni fydd yn dwyn arnoch chwi yr un o'r heintiau difrifol a brofasoch yn yr Aifft, ond yn eu gosod ar yr holl rai sy'n eich cas�u.
15and Jehovah hath turned aside from thee every sickness, and none of the evil diseases of Egypt (which thou hast known) doth He put on thee, and He hath put them on all hating thee.
16 Yr ydych i ddifa'r holl bobloedd y mae'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn eu rhoi i chwi; nid ydych i dosturio wrthynt nac addoli eu duwiau, oherwydd byddai hynny yn fagl ichwi.
16`And thou hast consumed all the peoples whom Jehovah thy God is giving to thee; thine eye hath no pity on them, and thou dost not serve their gods, for a snare it [is] to thee.
17 Hwyrach y byddwch yn dweud ynoch eich hunain, "Y mae'r cen-hedloedd hyn yn fwy niferus na ni; sut felly y gallwn eu gyrru allan?"
17`When thou sayest in thine heart, These nations [are] more numerous than I, how am I able to dispossess them? —
18 Peidiwch �'u hofni; daliwch i gofio'r hyn a wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw i Pharo a'r Aifft i gyd.
18thou art not afraid of them; thou dost surely remember that which Jehovah thy God hath done to Pharaoh, and to all Egypt,
19 Gwelsoch �'ch llygaid eich hunain y treialon mawr, yr arwyddion a'r rhyfeddodau, ac fel y daeth yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw � chwi allan � llaw gadarn a braich estynedig; felly y gwna'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw i'r holl bobloedd yr ydych yn eu hofni.
19the great trials which thine eyes have seen, and the signs, and the wonders, and the strong hand, and the stretched-out arm, with which Jehovah thy God hath brought thee out; so doth Jehovah thy God to all the peoples of whose presence thou art afraid.
20 Bydd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw hefyd yn anfon cacwn i'w plith, nes difa pob un fydd yn weddill neu yn cuddio oddi wrthych.
20`And also the locust doth Jehovah thy God send among them, till the destruction of those who are left, and of those who are hidden from thy presence;
21 Peidiwch ag arswydo o'u hachos, oherwydd bydd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw, y Duw mawr ac ofnadwy, gyda chwi.
21thou art not terrified by their presence, for Jehovah thy God [is] in thy midst, a God great and fearful.
22 Fe fydd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn gyrru allan y cenhedloedd hyn o'ch blaenau fesul ychydig; ni fyddwch yn eu difa ar unwaith, rhag i'r anifeiliaid gwyllt fynd yn rhy niferus ichwi.
22`And Jehovah thy God hath cast out these nations from thy presence little [by] little, (thou art not able to consume them hastily, lest the beast of the field multiply against thee),
23 Bydd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn eu darostwng o'ch blaenau, ac yn dwyn arnynt ddryswch mawr nes eu dinistrio.
23and Jehovah thy God hath given them before thee, and destroyed them — a great destruction — till their destruction;
24 Bydd yn rhoi eu brenhinoedd yn eich llaw, a byddwch yn dileu eu henwau o dan y nefoedd; ni all unrhyw un eich gwrthsefyll nes i chwi eu dinistrio.
24and He hath given their kings into thy hand, and thou hast destroyed their name from under the heavens; no man doth station himself in thy presence till thou hast destroyed them.
25 Yr ydych i losgi delwau eu duwiau yn y t�n; nid ydych i chwennych eu harian a'u haur, na'u cymryd, rhag iddynt fod yn fagl ichwi, oherwydd y maent yn ffieidd-dra i'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw.
25`The graven images of their gods ye do burn with fire; thou dost not desire the silver and gold on them, nor hast thou taken [it] to thyself, lest thou be snared by it, for the abomination of Jehovah thy God it [is];
26 Nid ydych i ddwyn i'ch tu375? unrhyw ffieidd-dra, rhag i chwi fynd yn beth i'w ddifrodi fel yntau; yr ydych i'w ddirmygu'n llwyr a'i ffieiddio, oherwydd peth i'w ddifrodi ydyw.
26and thou dost not bring in an abomination unto thy house — or thou hast been devoted like it; — thou dost utterly detest it, and thou dost utterly abominate it; for it [is] devoted.
