1 Paul, apostol Crist Iesu trwy ewyllys Duw, at y saint sydd yn Effesus, yn ffyddlon yng Nghrist Iesu.
1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, to the saints who are in Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Gras a thangnefedd i chwi oddi wrth Dduw ein Tad a'r Arglwydd Iesu Grist.
2Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ!
3 Bendigedig fyddo Duw a Thad ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist! Y mae wedi'n bendithio ni yng Nghrist � phob bendith ysbrydol yn y nefolion leoedd.
3Blessed [is] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who did bless us in every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
4 Cyn seilio'r byd, fe'n dewisodd yng Nghrist i fod yn sanctaidd ac yn ddi-fai ger ei fron mewn cariad.
4according as He did choose us in him before the foundation of the world, for our being holy and unblemished before Him, in love,
5 O wirfodd ei ewyllys fe'n rhagordeiniodd i gael ein mabwysiadu yn blant iddo'i hun trwy Iesu Grist,
5having foreordained us to the adoption of sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
6 er clod i'w ras gogoneddus, ei rad rodd i ni yn yr Anwylyd.
6to the praise of the glory of His grace, in which He did make us accepted in the beloved,
7 Ynddo ef y mae i ni brynedigaeth trwy ei waed, sef maddeuant ein camweddau; dyma fesur cyfoeth y gras
7in whom we have the redemption through his blood, the remission of the trespasses, according to the riches of His grace,
8 a roddodd mor hael i ni, ynghyd � phob doethineb a dirnadaeth.
8in which He did abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,
9 Hysbysodd i ni ddirgelwch ei ewyllys, yn unol �'r bwriad a arfaethodd yng Nghrist
9having made known to us the secret of His will, according to His good pleasure, that He purposed in Himself,
10 yng nghynllun cyflawniad yr amseroedd, sef dwyn yr holl greadigaeth i undod yng Nghrist, gan gynnwys pob peth yn y nefoedd ac ar y ddaear.
10in regard to the dispensation of the fulness of the times, to bring into one the whole in the Christ, both the things in the heavens, and the things upon the earth — in him;
11 Ynddo ef hefyd rhoddwyd i ni ran yn yr etifeddiaeth, yn rhinwedd ein rhagordeinio yn �l arfaeth yr hwn sy'n gweithredu pob peth yn �l ei fwriad a'i ewyllys ei hun.
11in whom also we did obtain an inheritance, being foreordained according to the purpose of Him who the all things is working according to the counsel of His will,
12 A thrwy hyn yr ydym ni, y rhai cyntaf i obeithio yng Nghrist, i ddwyn clod i'w ogoniant ef.
12for our being to the praise of His glory, [even] those who did first hope in the Christ,
13 A chwithau, wedi ichwi glywed gair y gwirionedd, Efengyl eich iachawdwriaeth, ac wedi ichwi gredu ynddo, gosodwyd arnoch yng Nghrist s�l yr Ysbryd Gl�n, yr hwn oedd wedi ei addo.
13in whom ye also, having heard the word of the truth — the good news of your salvation — in whom also having believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise,
14 Yr Ysbryd hwn yw'r ernes o'n hetifeddiaeth, nes ein prynu'n rhydd i'w meddiannu'n llawn, er clod i ogoniant Duw.
14which is an earnest of our inheritance, to the redemption of the acquired possession, to the praise of His glory.
15 Am hynny, o'r pryd y clywais am y ffydd sydd gennych yn yr Arglwydd Iesu, ac am eich cariad tuag at yr holl saint,
15Because of this I also, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and the love to all the saints,
16 nid wyf fi wedi peidio � diolch amdanoch, gan eich galw i gof yn fy ngwedd�au.
16do not cease giving thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,
17 A'm gweddi yw, ar i Dduw ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist, Tad y gogoniant, roi i chwi, yn eich adnabyddiaeth ohono ef, yr Ysbryd sy'n rhoi doethineb a datguddiad.
17that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of the glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the recognition of him,
18 Bydded iddo oleuo llygaid eich deall, a'ch dwyn i wybod beth yw'r gobaith sy'n ymhlyg yn ei alwad, beth yw cyfoeth y gogoniant sydd ar gael yn yr etifeddiaeth y mae'n ei rhoi i chwi ymhlith y saint,
18the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, for your knowing what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 a beth yw aruthrol fawredd y gallu sydd ganddo o'n plaid ni sy'n credu,
19and what the exceeding greatness of His power to us who are believing, according to the working of the power of His might,
20 y grymuster hwnnw a gyflawnodd yng ngrym ei nerth yng Nghrist pan gyfododd ef oddi wrth y meirw, a'i osod i eistedd ar ei ddeheulaw yn y nefolion leoedd,
20which He wrought in the Christ, having raised him out of the dead, and did set [him] at His right hand in the heavenly [places],
21 ymhell uwchlaw pob tywysogaeth ac awdurdod a gallu ac arglwyddiaeth, a phob teitl a geir, nid yn unig yn yr oes bresennol, ond hefyd yn yr oes sydd i ddod.
21far above all principality, and authority, and might, and lordship, and every name named, not only in this age, but also in the coming one;
22 Darostyngodd Duw bob peth dan ei draed ef, a rhoddodd ef yn ben ar bob peth i'r eglwys;
22and all things He did put under his feet, and did give him — head over all things to the assembly,
23 yr eglwys hon yw ei gorff ef, a chyflawniad yr hwn sy'n cael ei gyflawni ym mhob peth a thrwy bob peth.
23which is his body, the fulness of Him who is filling the all in all,
