¹ Yna fe'i taflodd Joseff ei hun ar gorff ei dad, ac wylo a'i gusanu.

¹And Joseph falleth on his father`s face, and weepeth over him, and kisseth him;

² Gorchmynnodd Joseff i'w weision, y meddygon, eneinio ei dad. Bu'r meddygon yn eneinio Israel

²and Joseph commandeth his servants, the physicians, to embalm his father, and the physicians embalm Israel;

³ dros ddeugain diwrnod, sef yr amser angenrheidiol i eneinio, a galarodd yr Eifftiaid amdano am saith deg diwrnod.

³and they fulfil for him forty days, for so they fulfil the days of the embalmed, and the Egyptians weep for him seventy days.

⁴ Pan ddaeth y dyddiau i alaru amdano i ben, dywedodd Joseff wrth deulu Pharo, "Os cefais unrhyw ffafr yn eich golwg, siaradwch drosof wrth Pharo, a dywedwch,

⁴And the days of his weeping pass away, and Joseph speaketh unto the house of Pharaoh, saying, `If, I pray you, I have found grace in your eyes, speak, I pray you, in the ears of Pharaoh, saying,

⁵ 'Gwnaeth fy nhad i mi gymryd llw. Dywedodd, "Yr wyf yn marw, ac yr wyf i'm claddu yn y bedd a dorrais i mi fy hun yng ngwlad Canaan." Yn awr gad i mi fynd i fyny i gladdu fy nhad; yna fe ddof yn �l.'"

⁵My father caused me to swear, saying, Lo, I am dying; in my burying-place which I have prepared for myself in the land of Canaan, there dost thou bury me; and now, let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and return;`

⁶ Atebodd Pharo, "Dos i fyny i gladdu dy dad, fel y gwnaeth iti dyngu."

⁶and Pharaoh saith, `Go up and bury thy father, as he caused thee to swear.`

⁷ Felly aeth Joseff i fyny i gladdu ei dad, a chydag ef aeth holl weision Pharo, henuriaid ei du375?, a holl henuriaid gwlad yr Aifft,

⁷And Joseph goeth up to bury his father, and go up with him do all the servants of Pharaoh, elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt,

⁸ holl du375? Joseff, a'i frodyr, a thu375? ei dad. Dim ond y rhai bychain, a'r defaid a'r gwartheg, a adawsant yng ngwlad Gosen.

⁸and all the house of Joseph, and his brethren, and the house of his father; only their infants, and their flock, and their herd, have they left in the land of Goshen;

⁹ Aeth i fyny gydag ef gerbydau a marchogion, llu mawr ohonynt.

⁹and there go up with him both chariot and horsemen, and the camp is very great.

¹⁰ Wedi iddynt gyrraedd llawr dyrnu Atad, sydd y tu draw i'r Iorddonen, gwnaethant yno alarnad uchel a chwerw iawn. Galarnadodd Joseff am ei dad am saith diwrnod.

¹⁰And they come unto the threshing-floor of Atad, which [is] beyond the Jordan, and they lament there, a lamentation great and very grievous; and he maketh for his father a mourning seven days,

¹¹ Pan welodd y Canaaneaid, preswylwyr y wlad, y galar ar lawr dyrnu Atad, dywedasant, "Dyma alar mawr gan yr Eifftiaid." Felly enwyd y lle y tu draw i'r Iorddonen yn Abel-misraim.

¹¹and the inhabitant of the land, the Canaanite, see the mourning in the threshing-floor of Atad, and say, `A grievous mourning [is] this to the Egyptians;` therefore hath [one] called its name `The mourning of the Egyptians,` which [is] beyond the Jordan.

¹² A gwnaeth ei feibion i Jacob fel yr oedd wedi gorchymyn iddynt;

¹²And his sons do to him so as he commanded them,

¹³ oherwydd daeth ei feibion ag ef i wlad Canaan a'i gladdu ym maes Machpela, i'r dwyrain o Mamre, yn yr ogof a brynodd Abraham gyda'r maes gan Effron yr Hethiad i gael hawl bedd.

¹³and his sons bear him away to the land of Canaan, and bury him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field for a possession of a burying-place, from Ephron the Hittite, on the front of Mamre.

¹⁴ Ac wedi iddo gladdu ei dad, dychwelodd Joseff i'r Aifft gyda'i frodyr a phawb oedd wedi mynd i fyny gydag ef i gladdu ei dad.

¹⁴And Joseph turneth back to Egypt, he and his brethren, and all who are going up with him to bury his father, after his burying his father.

¹⁵ Wedi marw eu tad, daeth ofn ar frodyr Joseff, a dywedasant, "Efallai y bydd Joseff yn ein cas�u ni, ac yn talu'n �l yr holl ddrwg a wnaethom iddo."

¹⁵And the brethren of Joseph see that their father is dead, and say, `Peradventure Joseph doth hate us, and doth certainly return to us all the evil which we did with him.`

¹⁶ A daethant at Joseff, a dweud, "Rhoddodd dy dad orchymyn fel hyn cyn marw,

¹⁶And they give a charge for Joseph, saying, `Thy father commanded before his death, saying,

¹⁷ 'Dywedwch wrth Joseff, "Maddau yn awr ddrygioni a phechod dy frodyr, oherwydd gwnaethant ddrwg i ti."' Yn awr, maddau ddrygioni gweision Duw dy dad." Wylodd Joseff wrth iddynt siarad ag ef.

¹⁷Thus ye do say to Joseph, I pray thee, bear, I pray thee, with the transgression of thy brethren, and their sin, for they have done thee evil; and now, bear, we pray thee, with the transgression of the servants of the God of thy father;` and Joseph weepeth in their speaking unto him.

¹⁸ Yna daeth ei frodyr a syrthio o'i flaen, a dweud, "Yr ydym yn weision i ti."

¹⁸And his brethren also go and fall before him, and say, `Lo, we [are] to thee for servants.`

¹⁹ Ond dywedodd Joseff wrthynt, "Peidiwch ag ofni. A wyf fi yn lle Duw?

¹⁹And Joseph saith unto them, `Fear not, for [am] I in the place of God?

²⁰ Yr oeddech chwi yn bwriadu drwg yn f'erbyn; ond trodd Duw y bwriad yn ddaioni, er mwyn gwneud yr hyn a welir heddiw, cadw'n fyw llawer o bobl.

²⁰As for you, ye devised against me evil — God devised it for good, in order to do as [at] this day, to keep alive a numerous people;

²¹ Felly peidiwch ag ofni; fe'ch cynhaliaf chwi a'ch rhai bach." A chysurodd hwy, a siarad yn dyner wrthynt.

²¹and now, fear not: I do nourish you and your infants;` and he comforteth them, and speaketh unto their heart.

²² Arhosodd Joseff a theulu ei dad yn yr Aifft. Bu Joseff fyw am gant a deg o flynyddoedd,

²²And Joseph dwelleth in Egypt, he and the house of his father, and Joseph liveth a hundred and ten years,

²³ a gwelodd blant Effraim hyd y drydedd genhedlaeth. Ar liniau Joseff hefyd y maethwyd plant Machir fab Manasse.

²³and Joseph looketh on Ephraim`s sons of the third [generation]; sons also of Machir, son of Manasseh, have been born on the knees of Joseph.

²⁴ Yna dywedodd Joseff wrth ei frodyr, "Yr wyf yn marw; ond y mae Duw yn sicr o ymweld � chwi a'ch dwyn i fyny o'r wlad hon i'r wlad a addawodd trwy lw i Abraham, Isaac a Jacob."

²⁴And Joseph saith unto his brethren, `I am dying, and God doth certainly inspect you, and hath caused you to go up from this land, unto the land which He hath sworn to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.`

²⁵ A gwnaeth Joseff i feibion Israel dyngu llw. Dywedodd, "Y mae Duw yn sicr o ymweld � chwi; ewch chwithau �'m hesgyrn i fyny oddi yma."

²⁵And Joseph causeth the sons of Israel to swear, saying, `God doth certainly inspect you, and ye have brought up my bones from this [place].`

²⁶ Bu Joseff farw yn gant a deg oed, ac wedi iddynt ei eneinio, rhoesant ef mewn arch yn yr Aifft.

²⁶And Joseph dieth, a son of an hundred and ten years, and they embalm him, and he is put into a coffin in Egypt.
