Isaiah

13

1 Yr oracl am Fabilon; yr hyn a welodd Eseia fab Amos.
1The burden of Babylon that Isaiah son of Amoz hath seen:
2 Dyrchafwch faner ar fynydd moel, codwch lef tuag atynt; amneidiwch 'ch dwylo iddynt ddod i mewn i byrth y pendefigion.
2`On a high mountain lift ye up an ensign, Raise the voice to them, wave the hand, And they go in to the openings of nobles.
3 Gorchmynnais i'r rhai a gysegrais; ie, gelwais ar fy ngwu375?r cedyrn i weithredu fy nicter, y rhai sy'n falch o'm gorchest.
3I have given charge to My sanctified ones, Also I have called My mighty ones for Mine anger, Those rejoicing at Mine excellency.`
4 Clywch, su373?n tyrfa ar y mynyddoedd, fel pobloedd heb rifedi! Clywch, dwndwr teyrnasoedd, fel cenhedloedd wedi eu crynhoi. ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd sydd yn cynnull y llu ar gyfer brwydr.
4A voice of a multitude in the mountains, A likeness of a numerous people, A voice of noise from the kingdoms of nations who are gathered, Jehovah of Hosts inspecting a host of battle!
5 Dnt o wlad bell, o eithaf y nefoedd offer llid yr ARGLWYDD i ddifa'r holl dir.
5They are coming in from a land afar off, From the end of the heavens, Jehovah and the instruments of His indignation, To destroy all the land.
6 Udwch, y mae dydd yr ARGLWYDD yn agos; daw fel dinistr oddi wrth yr Hollalluog.
6Howl ye, for near [is] the day of Jehovah, As destruction from the Mighty it cometh.
7 Am hynny fe laesa'r holl ddwylo, a bydd pob calon yn toddi gan fraw.
7Therefore, all hands do fail, And every heart of man doth melt.
8 Bydd poen ac artaith yn cydio ynddynt; byddant mewn gwewyr fel gwraig wrth esgor. Edrychant yn syn ar ei gilydd, a'u hwynebau'n gwrido fel fflam.
8And they have been troubled, Pains and pangs they take, As a travailing woman they are pained, A man at his friend they marvel, The appearance of flames — their faces!
9 Wele, daw dydd yr ARGLWYDD, yn greulon gan ddigofaint a llid, i wneud y ddaear yn ddiffaith a dileu ei phechaduriaid ohoni.
9Lo, the day of Jehovah doth come, Fierce, with wrath, and heat of anger, To make the land become a desolation, Yea, its sinning ones He destroyeth from it.
10 Bydd sr y nefoedd a'u planedau yn atal eu goleuni; tywylla'r haul ar ei godiad, ac ni oleua'r lloer 'i llewyrch.
10For the stars of the heavens, and their constellations, Cause not their light to shine, Darkened hath been the sun in its going out, And the moon causeth not its light to come forth.
11 Cosbaf y byd am ei bechod, a'r drygionus am eu camwedd; gwnaf i falchder y beiddgar beidio, gostyngaf ymffrost y trahaus.
11And I have appointed on the world evil, And on the wicked their iniquity, And have caused to cease the excellency of the proud, And the excellency of the terrible I make low.
12 Gwnaf bobl yn brinnach nag aur coeth, a'r ddynoliaeth nag aur Offir.
12I make man more rare than fine gold, And a common man than pure gold of Ophir.
13 Am hynny fe gryna'r nefoedd ac ysgydwir y ddaear o'i lle, oherwydd digofaint ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd yn nydd angerdd ei lid.
13Therefore the heavens I cause to tremble, And the earth doth shake from its place, In the wrath of Jehovah of Hosts, And in a day of the heat of his anger.
14 Fel ewig wedi ei tharfu, fel praidd heb neb i'w corlannu, bydd pawb yn troi at ei dylwyth, a phob un yn ffoi i'w gynefin.
14And it hath been, as a roe driven away, And as a flock that hath no gatherer, Each unto his people — they turn, And each unto his land — they flee.
15 Trywenir pob un a geir, a lleddir 'r cleddyf bob un a ddelir.
15Every one who is found is thrust through, And every one who is added falleth by sword.
16 Dryllir eu plant o flaen eu llygaid, ysbeilir eu tai, treisir eu gwragedd.
16And their sucklings are dashed to pieces before their eyes, Spoiled are their houses, and their wives lain with.
17 Wele, yr wyf yn cyffroi yn eu herbyn y Mediaid, rhai nad yw arian yn cyfrif ganddynt, ac na roddant bris ar aur.
17Lo, I am stirring up against them the Medes, Who silver esteem not, And gold — they delight not in it.
18 Dryllia'u bwu y gwu375?r ifanc; ni thosturiant wrth ffrwyth y groth, nac edrych yn drugarog ar blant.
18And bows dash young men to pieces, And the fruit of the womb they pity not, On sons their eye hath no pity.
19 A bydd Babilon, yr odidocaf o'r teyrnasoedd, a gogoniant ysblennydd y Caldeaid, fel Sodom a Gomorra wedi i Dduw eu dinistrio.
19And Babylon, the beauty of kingdoms, The glory, the excellency of the Chaldeans, Hath been as overthrown by God, With Sodom and with Gomorrah.
20 Ni chyfanheddir hi o gwbl, na phreswylio ynddi dros y cenedlaethau; ni phabella'r Arab o'i mewn, ac ni chorlanna'r bugail ynddi.
20She doth not sit for ever, Nor continueth unto many generations, Nor doth Arab pitch tent there, And shepherds lie not down there.
21 Ond bydd anifeiliaid gwyllt yn gorwedd yno; llenwir hi gan ffeuau i greaduriaid swnllyd; bydd yr estrys yn trigo yno, a bychod yn llamu yno;
21And Ziim have lain down there, And full have been their houses of howlings, And dwelt there have daughters of an ostrich, And goats do skip there.
22 bydd y siacal yn cyfarth yn ei thyrau, a'r hiena yn ei phlastai hyfryd. Y mae ei hamser wrth law, ac nid estynnir ei dyddiau.
22And Aiim have responded in his forsaken habitations, And dragons in palaces of delight, And near to come [is] her time, And her days are not drawn out!
