1 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrthyf, "Pe safai Moses a Samuel o'm blaen, eto ni byddai gennyf serch at y bobl hyn. Bwrw hwy allan o'm golwg, a bydded iddynt fynd ymaith.
1And Jehovah saith unto me: Though Moses and Samuel should stand before Me, My soul is not toward this people, Send from before My face, and they go out.
2 Ac os dywedant wrthyt, 'I ble'r awn?', dywed wrthynt, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: Y sawl sydd i angau, i angau; y sawl sydd i gleddyf, i gleddyf; y sawl sydd i newyn, i newyn; y sawl sydd i gaethiwed, i gaethiwed.'
2And it hath come to pass, when they say to thee, Whither do we go out? that thou hast said unto them, Thus said Jehovah: Those who [are] for death — to death, And those who are for the sword, to the sword, And those who are for famine, to famine, And those who are for captivity, to captivity.
3 A chosbaf hwy mewn pedair ffordd, medd yr ARGLWYDD: cleddyf i ladd, y cu373?n i larpio, adar y nefoedd a bwystfilod gwyllt i ysu ac i ddifa.
3And I have appointed over them four kinds, an affirmation of Jehovah, The sword to slay, and the dogs to drag, And the fowl of the heavens, And the beast of the earth, to consume and to devour.
4 Gwnaf hwy yn arswyd i holl deyrnasoedd y byd, oherwydd yr hyn a wnaeth Manasse fab Heseceia, brenin Jwda, yn Jerwsalem.
4And I have given them for a trembling To all kingdoms of the earth, Because of Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah, For that which he did in Jerusalem.
5 Pwy a drugarha wrthyt, O Jerwsalem? Pwy a gydymdeimla thi? Pwy a ddaw heibio i ymofyn amdanat?
5For who hath pity on thee, O Jerusalem? And who doth bemoan for thee? And who turneth aside to ask of thy welfare?
6 Gadewaist fi, medd yr ARGLWYDD, a throi dy gefn arnaf; ac estynnaf finnau fy llaw yn dy erbyn i'th ddifa; rwy'n blino ar drugarhau.
6Thou — thou hast left Me — an affirmation of Jehovah, Backward thou goest, And I stretch out My hand against thee, And I destroy thee, I have been weary of repenting,
7 Gwyntyllaf hwy gwyntyll ym mhyrth y wlad; di-blantaf, difethaf fy mhobl, am na ddychwelant o'u ffyrdd.
7And I scatter them with a fan, in the gates the land, I bereaved, I have destroyed My people, From their ways they turned not back.
8 Gwnaf eu gweddwon yn amlach na thywod y mr; dygaf anrheithiwr ganol dydd yn erbyn mam y gu373?r ifanc, paraf i ddychryn a braw ddod arni yn ddisymwth.
8Its widows have been more to Me than the sand of the seas, I brought in to them — against the mother — A young man — a spoiler — at noon. I caused to fall upon her suddenly, wrath and trouble.
9 Llesg'r un a esgorodd ar saith o feibion; syrth mewn llesmair, machluda ei haul, a hi eto'n ddydd; fe'i dygir i gywilydd a gwaradwydd. Rhoddaf i'r cleddyf y rhai sy'n weddill, yng ngu373?ydd eu gelynion, medd yr ARGLWYDD."
9Languished hath the bearer of seven, She hath breathed out her spirit, Gone in hath her sun while yet day, It hath been ashamed and confounded, And their residue to the sword I give up before their enemies, An affirmation of Jehovah.
10 Gwae fi, fy mam, iti fy nwyn i'r byd yn u373?r ymrafael, yn u373?r cynnen i'r holl wlad. Ni bm nac echwynnwr na dyledwr, eto y mae pawb yn fy melltithio.
10Wo to me, my mother, For thou hast borne me a man of strife, And a man of contention to all the land, I have not lent on usury, Nor have they lent on usury to me — All of them are reviling me.
11 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD, "Yn ddiau gwaredaf di er daioni; gwnaf i'th elyn ymbil thi yn amser adfyd ac yn amser gofid."
11Jehovah said, Did I not direct thee for good? Did not I intercede for thee in a time of evil, And in a time of adversity, with the enemy?
12 "A ellir torri haearn, haearn o'r gogledd, neu bres?
12Doth one break iron — northern iron, and brass?
13 Gwnaf dy gyfoeth a'th drysorau yn anrhaith, nid am bris ond oherwydd dy holl bechod yn dy holl derfynau.
13Thy strength and thy treasures For a prey I do give — not for price, Even for all thy sins, and in all thy borders.
14 Gwnaf i ti wasanaethu d'elynion mewn gwlad nad adwaenost, canys yn fy nicter cyneuwyd tn, a lysg hyd byth."
14And I have caused thine enemies To pass over into the land — Thou hast not known, For a fire hath been kindled in Mine anger, Against you it doth burn.
15 Fe wyddost ti, O ARGLWYDD; cofia fi, ymwl mi, dial drosof ar f'erlidwyr. Yn dy amynedd, paid 'm dwyn ymaith; gwybydd i mi ddwyn gwarth er dy fwyn di.
15Thou, Thou hast known, O Jehovah, Remember me, and inspect me, And take vengeance for me of my pursuers, In Thy long-suffering take me not away, Know — I have borne for Thee reproach.
16 Cafwyd geiriau gennyt, ac aethant yn ymborth i mi; daeth dy air yn llawenydd i mi, ac yn hyfrydwch fy nghalon; canys galwyd dy enw arnaf, O ARGLWYDD Dduw y Lluoedd.
16Thy words have been found, and I eat them, And Thy word is to me for a joy, And for the rejoicing of my heart, For Thy name is called on me, O Jehovah, God of Hosts.
17 Nid eisteddais yng nghwmni'r gwamal, ac ni chefais hwyl gyda hwy; ond eisteddwn fy hunan, oherwydd dy afael di arnaf; llenwaist fi llid.
17I have not sat in an assembly of deriders, Nor do I exult, because of thy hand, — Alone I have sat, For [with] indignation Thou hast filled me.
18 Pam y mae fy mhoen yn ddi-baid, a'm clwy yn ffyrnig, ac yn gwrthod iachd? A fyddi di i mi fel nant dwyllodrus, neu fel dyfroedd yn pallu?
18Why hath my pain been perpetual? And my wound incurable? It hath refused to be healed, Thou art surely to me as a failing stream, Waters not stedfast.
19 Am hynny, fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: "Os dychweli, fe'th adferaf ac fe sefi o'm blaen; os tynni allan y gwerthfawr oddi wrth y di-werth, byddi fel genau i mi; try'r bobl atat ti, ond ni throi di atynt hwy.
19Therefore, thus said Jehovah: If thou turnest back, then I bring thee back, Before Me thou dost stand, And if thou bringest out the precious from the vile, As My mouth thou art! They — they turn back unto thee, And thou dost not turn back unto them.
20 Fe'th wnaf i'r bobl hyn yn fagwyr o bres; ymladdant yn dy erbyn ond ni'th orchfygant, canys yr wyf gyda thi i'th achub ac i'th wared," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
20And I have made thee to this people For a wall — brazen — fenced, And they have fought against thee, And they do not prevail against thee, For with thee [am] I to save thee, And to deliver thee — an affirmation of Jehovah,
21 "Gwaredaf di o afael y rhai drygionus, rhyddhaf di o law'r rhai creulon."
21And I have delivered thee from the hand of evil doers, And I have ransomed thee From the hand of the terrible!
