Judges

4

1 Ar l i Ehud farw, gwnaeth yr Israeliaid unwaith eto yr hyn oedd ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD.
1And the sons of Israel add to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah when Ehud is dead,
2 Felly gwerthodd yr ARGLWYDD hwy i law Jabin brenin Canaan, a oedd yn teyrnasu yn Hasor. Capten ei fyddin oedd Sisera, a oedd yn byw yn Haroseth y Cenhedloedd.
2and Jehovah selleth them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who hath reigned in Hazor, and the head of his host [is] Sisera, and he is dwelling in Harosheth of the Goyim;
3 Yr oedd ganddo naw cant o gerbydau haearn, a bu'n gorthrymu'r Israeliaid yn galed am ugain mlynedd; am hynny gwaeddodd yr Israeliaid ar yr ARGLWYDD.
3and the sons of Israel cry unto Jehovah, for he hath nine hundred chariots of iron, and he hath oppressed the sons of Israel mightily twenty years.
4 Proffwydes o'r enw Debora gwraig Lappidoth oedd yn barnu Israel yr adeg honno.
4And Deborah, a woman inspired, wife of Lapidoth, she is judging Israel at that time,
5 Byddai'n eistedd dan balmwydden Debora, rhwng Rama a Bethel ym mynydd-dir Effraim, a byddai'r Israeliaid yn mynd ati am farn.
5and she is dwelling under the palm-tree of Deborah, between Ramah and Beth-El, in the hill-country of Ephraim, and the sons of Israel go up unto her for judgment.
6 Anfonodd hi am Barac fab Abinoam o Cedes Nafftali, a dweud wrtho, "Onid yw'r ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel, yn gorchymyn iti? Dos, cynnull ddeng mil o ddynion o lwythau Nafftali a Sabulon ar Fynydd Tabor, a chymer hwy gyda thi.
6And she sendeth and calleth for Barak son of Abinoam, out of Kedesh-Naphtali, and saith unto him, `Hath not Jehovah, God of Israel, commanded? go, and thou hast drawn towards mount Tabor, and hast taken with thee ten thousand men, out of the sons of Naphtali, and out of the sons of Zebulun,
7 Denaf finnau, i'th gyfarfod wrth nant Cison, Sisera, capten byddin Jabin, gyda'i gerbydau a'i lu; ac fe'u rhoddaf yn dy law."
7and I have drawn unto thee, unto the brook Kishon, Sisera, head of the host of Jabin, and his chariot, and his multitude, and have given him into thy hand.`
8 Ond dywedodd Barac wrthi, "Os doi di gyda mi, yna mi af; ac os na ddoi di gyda mi, nid af."
8And Barak saith unto her, `If thou dost go with me, then I have gone; and if thou dost not go with me, I do not go;`
9 Meddai hithau, "Dof, mi ddof gyda thi; eto ni ddaw gogoniant i ti ar y llwybr a gerddi, oherwydd i law gwraig y mae'r ARGLWYDD am werthu Sisera." Yna cododd Debora a mynd gyda Barac i Cedes.
9and she saith, `I do certainly go with thee; only, surely thy glory is not on the way which thou art going, for into the hand of a woman doth Jehovah sell Sisera;` and Deborah riseth and goeth with Barak to Kedesh.
10 Cynullodd Barac lwythau Sabulon a Nafftali i Cedes, a dilynodd deng mil o ddynion ar ei l; aeth Debora hefyd gydag ef.
10And Barak calleth Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh, and he goeth up — at his feet [are] ten thousand men — and Deborah goeth up with him.
11 Yr oedd Heber y Cenead wedi ymwahanu oddi wrth y Ceneaid eraill oedd yn ddisgynyddion Hobab, tad-yng-nghyfraith Moses, ac wedi gosod ei babell cyn belled 'r dderwen yn Saanannim ger Cedes.
11And Heber the Kenite hath been separated from the Kenite, from the sons of Hobab father-in-law of Moses, and he stretcheth out his tent unto the oak in Zaanaim, which [is] by Kedesh.
12 Pan ddywedwyd wrth Sisera fod Barac fab Abinoam wedi mynd i fyny i Fynydd Tabor,
12And they declare to Sisera that Barak son of Abinoam hath gone up to mount Tabor,
13 galwodd Sisera ei holl gerbydau naw cant o gerbydau haearn a'i holl filwyr, o Haroseth y Cenhedloedd at nant Cison.
13and Sisera calleth all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who [are] with him, from Harosheth of the Goyim, unto the brook Kishon.
14 Yna dywedodd Debora wrth Barac, "Dos! Oherwydd dyma'r dydd y bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn rhoi Sisera yn dy law. Onid yw'r ARGLWYDD wedi mynd o'th flaen?" Aeth Barac i lawr o Fynydd Tabor gyda deng mil o wu375?r ar ei l.
14And Deborah saith unto Barak, `Rise, for this [is] the day in which Jehovah hath given Sisera into thy hand; hath not Jehovah gone out before thee?` And Barak goeth down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
15 Gyrrodd yr ARGLWYDD Sisera a'r cerbydau i gyd, a'r holl fyddin, ar chwl o flaen cleddyf Barac. Disgynnodd Sisera o'i gerbyd a ffoi ar ei draed.
15And Jehovah destroyeth Sisera, and all the chariots, and all the camp, by the mouth of the sword, before Barak, and Sisera cometh down from off the chariot, and fleeth on his feet.
16 Ymlidiodd Barac y cerbydau a'r fyddin cyn belled Haroseth y Cenhedloedd, a chwympodd holl fyddin Sisera o flaen y cleddyf, heb adael cymaint ag un.
16And Barak hath pursued after the chariots and after the camp, unto Harosheth of the Goyim, and all the camp of Sisera falleth by the mouth of the sword — there hath not been left even one.
17 Ffodd Sisera ar ei draed i babell Jael, gwraig Heber y Cenead, oherwydd yr oedd heddwch rhwng Jabin brenin Hasor a theulu Heber y Cenead.
17And Sisera hath fled on his feet unto the tent of Jael wife of Heber the Kenite, for peace [is] between Jabin king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite;
18 Daeth Jael allan i gyfarfod Sisera a dywedodd wrtho, "Tro i mewn, f'arglwydd, tro i mewn ataf, paid ag ofni." Felly troes i mewn ati i'r babell, a thaenodd hithau gwrlid drosto.
18and Jael goeth out to meet Sisera, and saith unto him, `Turn aside, my lord, turn aside unto me, fear not;` and he turneth aside unto her, into the tent, and she covereth him with a coverlet.
19 Gofynnodd iddi am lymaid o ddu373?r i'w yfed, gan fod syched arno, ond agorodd hi botel o laeth a rhoi diod iddo, ac yna ei orchuddio eto.
19And he saith unto her, `Give me to drink, I pray thee, a little water, for I am thirsty;` and she openeth the bottle of milk, and giveth him to drink, and covereth him.
20 Dywedodd wrthi, "Saf yn nrws y babell, ac os daw rhywun a gofyn iti a oes unrhyw un yma, dywed, 'Nac oes'."
20And he saith unto her, `Stand at the opening of the tent, and it hath been, if any doth come in, and hath asked thee, and said, Is there a man here? that thou hast said, There is not.`
21 Cymerodd Jael, gwraig Heber, hoelen pabell, cydiodd mewn morthwyl, ac aeth ato'n ddistaw a phwyo'r hoelen trwy ei arlais i'r llawr; yr oedd ef mewn trymgwsg ar l ei ludded, a bu farw.
21And Jael wife of Heber taketh the pin of the tent, and taketh the hammer in her hand, and goeth unto him gently, and striketh the pin into his temples, and it fasteneth in the earth — and he hath been fast asleep, and is weary — and he dieth.
22 Yna cyrhaeddodd Barac, yn ymlid Sisera; aeth Jael allan i'w gyfarfod, a dywedodd wrtho, "Tyrd, fe ddangosaf iti'r dyn yr wyt yn chwilio amdano." Aeth yntau i mewn, a dyna lle'r oedd Sisera yn gorwedd yn farw, a'r hoelen yn ei arlais.
22And lo, Barak is pursuing Sisera, and Jael cometh out to meet him, and saith to him, `Come, and I shew thee the man whom thou art seeking;` and he cometh in unto her, and lo, Sisera is fallen — dead, and the pin in his temples.
23 Y diwrnod hwnnw darostyngodd Duw Jabin brenin Canaan gerbron yr Israeliaid.
23And God humbleth on that day Jabin king of Canaan before the sons of Israel,
24 Pwysodd yr Israeliaid yn drymach, drymach arno, nes iddynt ddistrywio Jabin brenin Canaan.
24and the hand of the sons of Israel goeth, going on and becoming hard on Jabin king of Canaan, till that they have cut off Jabin king of Canaan.
