1 Dywedodd Balaam wrth Balac, "Adeilada imi yma saith allor, a darpara imi saith bustach a saith hwrdd."
1And Balaam saith unto Balak, `Build for me in this [place] seven altars, and make ready for me in this [place] seven bullocks and seven rams.`
2 Gwnaeth Balac fel yr oedd Balaam wedi gorchymyn, ac offrymodd Balac a Balaam fustach a hwrdd ar bob allor.
2And Balak doth as Balaam hath spoken, and Balak — Balaam also — offereth a bullock and a ram on the altar,
3 Yna dywedodd Balaam wrth Balac, "Aros di wrth dy boethoffrwm, ac af finnau draw oddi yma; hwyrach y daw'r ARGLWYDD i gyfarfod mi, ac fe ddywedaf wrthyt beth bynnag a ddatguddia imi." Felly aeth ymaith i fryn uchel.
3and Balaam saith to Balak, `Station thyself by thy burnt-offering and I go on, it may be Jehovah doth come to meet me, and the thing which He sheweth me — I have declared to thee;` and he goeth [to] a high place.
4 Daeth Duw i gyfarfod Balaam, a dywedodd Balaam wrtho, "Yr wyf wedi paratoi'r saith allor ac offrymu bustach a hwrdd ar bob un."
4And God cometh unto Balaam, and he saith unto Him, `The seven altars I have arranged, and I offer a bullock and a ram on the altar;`
5 Rhoddodd yr ARGLWYDD air yng ngenau Balaam, a dweud, "Dos yn l at Balac, a llefara hyn wrtho."
5and Jehovah putteth a word in the mouth of Balaam, and saith, `Turn back unto Balak, and thus thou dost speak.`
6 Pan ddychwelodd yntau, gwelodd Balac yn sefyll wrth ei boethoffrwm, a holl dywysogion Moab gydag ef.
6And he turneth back unto him, and lo, he is standing by his burnt-offering, he and all the princes of Moab.
7 Yna llefarodd Balaam ei oracl a dweud, "Daeth Balac mi o Syria, brenin Moab o fynyddoedd y dwyrain. 'Tyrd,' meddai, 'rho felltith ar Jacob imi; tyrd, cyhoedda wae ar Israel.'
7And he taketh up his simile, and saith: `From Aram he doth lead me — Balak king of Moab; From mountains of the east: Come — curse for me Jacob, And come — be indignant [with] Israel.
8 Sut y gallaf felltithio neb heb i Dduw ei felltithio, neu gyhoeddi gwae ar neb heb i'r ARGLWYDD ei gyhoeddi?
8What — do I pierce? — God hath not pierced! And what — am I indignant? — Jehovah hath not been indignant!
9 Fe'u gwelaf o ben y creigiau, ac edrychaf arnynt o'r bryniau pobl yn byw mewn unigedd, heb ystyried eu bod ymysg y cenhedloedd.
9For from the top of rocks I see it, And from heights I behold it; Lo a people! alone it doth tabernacle, And among nations doth not reckon itself.
10 Pwy a all gyfrif Jacob mwy na llwch neu rifo chwarter Israel? Boed i minnau farw fel y bydd marw'r cyfiawn, a boed fy niwedd i fel eu diwedd hwy."
10Who hath counted the dust of Jacob, And the number of the fourth of Israel? Let me die the death of upright ones, And let my last end be like his!`
11 Dywedodd Balac wrth Balaam, "Beth a wnaethost imi? Gelwais amdanat i felltithio fy ngelynion, ond y cyfan a wnaethost oedd eu bendithio."
11And Balak saith unto Balaam, `What hast thou done to me? to pierce mine enemies I have taken thee — and lo, thou hast certainly blessed;`
12 Atebodd yntau, "Onid oes raid imi lefaru'r hyn y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn ei osod yn fy ngenau?"
12and he answereth and saith, `That which Jehovah doth put in my mouth — it do I not take heed to speak?`
13 Dywedodd Balac wrtho, "Tyrd gyda mi i le arall er mwyn iti eu gweld oddi yno; ni weli di mo'r cyfan, dim ond un cwr ohonynt, ond oddi yno gelli eu melltithio imi."
13And Balak saith unto him, `Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, whence thou dost see it, only its extremity thou dost see, and all of it thou dost not see, and pierce it for me thence;`
14 Felly cymerodd ef i faes Soffim ar ben Pisga, ac adeiladodd saith allor ac offrymodd fustach a hwrdd ar bob un.
14and he taketh him [to] the field of Zophim, unto the top of Pisgah, and buildeth seven altars, and offereth a bullock and a ram on the altar.
15 Yna dywedodd Balaam wrth Balac, "Aros di yma wrth dy boethoffrwm, ac af finnau draw i gyfarfod 'r ARGLWYDD."
15And he saith unto Balak, `Station thyself here by thy burnt-offering, and I — I meet [Him] there;`
16 Daeth yr ARGLWYDD i gyfarfod Balaam, a rhoi gair yn ei enau, a dweud, "Dos yn l at Balac, a llefara hyn wrtho."
16and Jehovah cometh unto Balaam, and setteth a word in his mouth, and saith, `Turn back unto Balak, and thus thou dost speak.`
17 Pan ddaeth ef ato, gwelodd Balac yn sefyll wrth ei boethoffrwm, a thywysogion Moab gydag ef. Gofynnodd Balac iddo, "Beth a ddywedodd yr ARGLWYDD?"
17And he cometh unto him, and lo, he is standing by his burnt-offering, and the princes of Moab with him, and Balak saith to him: `What hath Jehovah spoken?`
18 Yna llefarodd Balaam ei oracl a dweud: "Cod, Balac, a chlyw: gwrando arnaf, fab Sippor;
18And he taketh up his simile, and saith: `Rise, Balak, and hear; Give ear unto me, son of Zippor!
19 nid yw Duw fel meidrolyn yn dweud celwydd, neu fod meidrol yn edifarhau. Oni wna yr hyn a addawodd, a chyflawni'r hyn a ddywedodd?
19God [is] not a man — and lieth, And a son of man — and repenteth! Hath He said — and doth He not do [it]? And spoken — and doth He not confirm it?
20 Derbyniais orchymyn i fendithio, a phan fo ef yn bendithio, ni allaf ei atal.
20Lo, to bless I have received: Yea, He blesseth, and I [can]not reverse it.
21 Ni welodd ddrygioni yn Jacob, ac ni chanfu drosedd yn Israel. Y mae'r ARGLWYDD eu Duw gyda hwy, a bloedd y brenin yn eu plith.
21He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, Nor hath He seen perverseness in Israel; Jehovah his God [is] with him, And a shout of a king [is] in him.
22 Daeth Duw hwy allan o'r Aifft, ac yr oedd eu nerth fel nerth ych gwyllt.
22God is bringing them out from Egypt, As the swiftness of a Reem is to him;
23 Nid oes swyn yn erbyn Jacob, na dewiniaeth yn erbyn Israel; yn awr fe ddywedir am Jacob ac Israel, 'Gwaith Duw yw hyn!'
23For no enchantment [is] against Jacob, Nor divination against Israel, At the time it is said of Jacob and Israel, What hath God wrought!
24 Dyma bobl sy'n codi fel llewes, ac yn ymsythu fel llew; nid yw'n gorwedd nes bwyta'r ysglyfaeth ac yfed o waed yr hyn a larpiodd."
24Lo, the people as a lioness riseth, And as a lion he lifteth himself up, He lieth not down till he eateth prey, And blood of pierced ones doth drink.`
25 Dywedodd Balac wrth Balaam, "Paid 'u melltithio na'u bendithio mwyach."
25And Balak saith unto Balaam, `Neither pierce it at all, nor bless it at all;`
26 Ond atebodd Balaam ef, "Oni ddywedais wrthyt fod yn rhaid imi wneud y cyfan a ddywed yr ARGLWYDD?"
26and Balaam answereth and saith unto Balak, `Have I not spoken unto thee, saying, All that Jehovah speaketh — it I do?`
27 Dywedodd Balac wrth Balaam, "Tyrd, fe af thi i le arall; efallai y bydd Duw yn fodlon iti eu melltithio imi oddi yno."
27And Balak saith unto Balaam, `Come, I pray thee, I take thee unto another place; it may be it is right in the eyes of God — to pierce it for me from thence.`
28 Felly cymerodd Balac ef i ben Peor, sy'n edrych i lawr dros y diffeithwch,
28And Balak taketh Balaam to the top of Peor, which is looking on the front of the wilderness,
29 a dywedodd Balaam wrtho, "Adeilada imi yma saith allor, a darpara imi saith bustach a saith hwrdd."
29and Balaam saith unto Balak, `Build for me in this [place] seven altars, and make ready for me in this [place] seven bullocks and seven rams;`
30 Gwnaeth Balac fel yr oedd Balaam wedi gorchymyn iddo, ac offrymodd fustach a hwrdd ar bob allor.
30and Balak doth as Balaam said, and he offereth a bullock and a ram on an altar.
