1 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses,
1And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
2 "Yr wyt i ddial ar y Midianiaid ar ran pobl Israel; yna fe'th gesglir at dy bobl."
2`Execute the vengeance of the sons of Israel against the Midianites — afterwards thou art gathered unto thy people.`
3 A dywedodd Moses wrth y bobl, "Arfogwch ddynion o'ch plith iddynt ryfela yn erbyn Midian, a dial arni ar ran yr ARGLWYDD.
3And Moses speaketh unto the people, saying, `Be ye armed some of you for the host, and they are against Midian, to put the vengeance of Jehovah on Midian;
4 Anfonwch fil o bob un o lwythau Israel i'r rhyfel."
4a thousand for a tribe — a thousand for a tribe, to all the tribes of Israel — ye do send to the host.`
5 Felly, o blith tylwythau Israel, penodwyd mil o bob llwyth, deuddeng mil i gyd, wedi eu harfogi ar gyfer rhyfel.
5And there are given out of the thousands of Israel a thousand for a tribe, twelve thousand armed ones of the host;
6 Anfonodd Moses hwy i'r frwydr, mil o bob llwyth, ynghyd Phinees fab Eleasar yr offeiriad, i gludo llestri'r cysegr a'r trwmpedau i seinio rhybudd.
6and Moses sendeth them, a thousand for a tribe, to the host, them and Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, to the host; and the holy vessels, and the trumpets of the shouting, in his hand.
7 Aethant i ryfela yn erbyn Midian, gan ladd pob gwryw, fel y gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses.
7And they war against Midian, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses, and slay every male;
8 Ymhlith y rhai a laddwyd yr oedd pum brenin Midian, sef Efi, Recem, Sur, Hur a Reba; lladdasant hefyd Balaam fab Beor 'r cleddyf.
8and the kings of Midian they have slain, besides their pierced ones, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian; and Balaam son of Beor, they have slain with the sword.
9 Cymerodd yr Israeliaid wragedd Midian a'u plant yn garcharorion, a dwyn yn ysbail eu holl wartheg a'u defaid a'u heiddo i gyd.
9And the sons of Israel take captive the women of Midian, and their infants; and all their cattle, and all their substance, and all their wealth they have plundered;
10 Llosgwyd yr holl ddinasoedd y buont yn byw ynddynt, a'u holl wersylloedd,
10and all their cities, with their habitations, and all their towers, they have burnt with fire.
11 a chymerwyd y cyfan o'r ysbail a'r anrhaith, yn ddyn ac anifail.
11And they take all the spoil, and all the prey, among man and among beast;
12 Yna daethant 'r carcharorion, yr ysbail a'r anrhaith at Moses ac Eleasar yr offeiriad, ac at gynulliad pobl Israel oedd yn gwersyllu yng ngwastadedd Moab, gyferbyn Jericho ger yr Iorddonen.
12and they bring in, unto Moses, and unto Eleazar the priest, and unto the company of the sons of Israel, the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto the camp, unto the plains of Moab, which [are] by Jordan, [near] Jericho.
13 Aeth Moses, Eleasar yr offeiriad, a holl arweinwyr y cynulliad i'w cyfarfod y tu allan i'r gwersyll.
13And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the company, go out to meet them, unto the outside of the camp,
14 Ond digiodd Moses wrth swyddogion y fyddin, sef capteiniaid y miloedd a'r cannoedd, a oedd wedi dychwelyd ar l brwydro yn y rhyfel,
14and Moses is wroth against the inspectors of the force, chiefs of the thousands, and chiefs of the hundreds, who are coming in from the host of the battle.
15 a dywedodd wrthynt, "A ydych wedi arbed yr holl ferched?
15And Moses saith unto them, `Have ye kept alive every female?
16 Dyma'r rhai, ar orchymyn Balaam, a wnaeth i bobl Israel fod yn anffyddlon i'r ARGLWYDD yn yr achos ynglu375?n Peor, pan ddaeth pla i ganol cynulliad yr ARGLWYDD.
16lo, they — they have been to the sons of Israel, through the word of Balaam, to cause a trespass against Jehovah in the matter of Peor, and the plague is in the company of Jehovah.
17 Yn awr, lladdwch bob bachgen ifanc, a phob merch sydd wedi cael cyfathrach rywiol gyda dyn,
17`And now, slay ye every male among the infants, yea, every woman known of man by the lying of a male ye have slain;
18 ond arbedwch i chwi eich hunain bob geneth ifanc nad yw wedi bod gyda dyn.
18and all the infants among the women, who have not known the lying of a male, ye have kept alive for yourselves.
19 Y mae pob un ohonoch sydd wedi lladd rhywun, neu wedi cyffwrdd chorff rhywun a laddwyd, i aros y tu allan i'r gwersyll am saith diwrnod; ar y trydydd a'r seithfed dydd yr ydych i'ch glanhau eich hunain a'r carcharorion sydd gyda chwi.
19`And ye, encamp ye at the outside of the camp seven days — any who hath slain a person, and any who hath come against a pierced one, ye cleanse yourselves on the third day, and on the seventh day — ye and your captives;
20 Yr ydych hefyd i lanhau pob gwisg, a phopeth a wnaed o groen neu o flew gafr, a phob offer pren."
20and every garment, and every skin vessel, and every work of goats` [hair], and every wooden vessel, ye yourselves cleanse.`
21 Dywedodd Eleasar yr offeiriad wrth y rhyfelwyr oedd wedi mynd i'r frwydr, "Dyma'r rheol yn l y gyfraith a orchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses:
21And Eleazar the priest saith unto the men of the host who go in to battle, `This [is] the statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded Moses:
22 dim ond aur, arian, pres, haearn, alcam a phlwm,
22only, the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
23 sef popeth sy'n gallu gwrthsefyll tn, sydd i'w dynnu trwy dn er mwyn ei buro, a'i lanhau du373?r puredigaeth; y mae popeth na all wrthsefyll tn i'w dynnu trwy'r du373?r yn unig.
23every thing which may go into fire, ye cause to pass over through fire, and it hath been clean; only, with the water of separation it is cleansed, and all that may not go into fire, ye cause to pass over through water;
24 Golchwch eich dillad ar y seithfed dydd, a byddwch ln; yna cewch ddod i mewn i'r gwersyll."
24and ye have washed your garments on the seventh day, and have been clean, and afterwards ye come in unto the camp.`
25 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses,
25And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
26 "Yr wyt ti, Eleasar yr offeiriad, a phennau-teuluoedd y cynulliad, i gyfrif yr ysbail a gymerwyd, yn ddyn ac anifail,
26`Take up the sum of the prey of the captives, among man and among beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers of the company;
27 a'i rannu'n ddau rhwng y rhyfelwyr a aeth i'r frwydr a'r holl gynulliad.
27and thou hast halved the prey between those handling the battle who go out to the host and all the company;
28 Oddi wrth y rhyfelwyr a aeth i'r frwydr, cymer yn dreth i'r ARGLWYDD un o bob pum cant, boed o ddynion, eidionau, asynnod, neu ddefaid.
28and thou hast raised a tribute to Jehovah from the men of war, who go out to the host, one body out of five hundred, of man, and of the herd, and of the asses, and of the flock;
29 Cymerwch hyn o'u hanner hwy, a'i roi i Eleasar yr offeiriad fel offrwm i'r ARGLWYDD.
29from their half ye do take, and thou hast given to Eleazar the priest — the heave-offering of Jehovah.
30 Yna, o'r hanner sy'n eiddo i bobl Israel, cymer un o bob hanner cant, boed o ddynion, eidionau, asynnod, defaid neu anifeiliaid eraill, a'u rhoi i'r Lefiaid sy'n gofalu am dabernacl yr ARGLWYDD."
30`And from the sons of Israel`s half thou dost take one possession out of fifty, of man, of the herd, of the asses, and of the flock, of all the cattle, and thou hast given them to the Levites keeping the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah.`
31 Gwnaeth Moses ac Eleasar yr offeiriad fel y gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses.
31And Moses doth — Eleazar the priest also — as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
32 Dyma'r ysbail oedd yn weddill o'r hyn a gymerodd y rhyfelwyr: chwe chant saith deg pump o filoedd o ddefaid,
32And the prey, the residue of the spoil which the people of the host have spoiled, is of the flock six hundred thousand, and seventy thousand, and five thousand;
33 saith deg dwy o filoedd o eidionau,
33and of the herd two and seventy thousand;
34 chwe deg un o filoedd o asynnod,
34and of asses one and sixty thousand;
35 a thri deg dwy o filoedd o bobl, sef pob merch nad oedd wedi cael cyfathrach rywiol dyn.
35and of human beings — of the women who have not known the lying of a male — all the persons [are] two and thirty thousand.
36 Yr oedd cyfran y rhyfelwyr yn cynnwys tri chant tri deg saith o filoedd a phum cant o ddefaid,
36And the half — the portion of those who go out into the host — the number of the flock is three hundred thousand, and thirty thousand, and seven thousand and five hundred.
37 ac yr oedd chwe chant saith deg a phump o'r defaid yn dreth i'r ARGLWYDD;
37And the tribute to Jehovah of the sheep is six hundred five and seventy;
38 yr oedd tri deg chwech o filoedd o eidionau, a saith deg a dau ohonynt yn dreth i'r ARGLWYDD;
38and the herd [is] six and thirty thousand, and their tribute to Jehovah [is] two and seventy;
39 yr oedd tri deg o filoedd a phum cant o asynnod, a chwe deg ac un ohonynt yn dreth i'r ARGLWYDD;
39and the asses [are] thirty thousand and five hundred, and their tribute to Jehovah [is] one and sixty;
40 yr oedd un fil ar bymtheg o bobl, a thri deg a dau ohonynt yn dreth i'r ARGLWYDD.
40and the human beings [are] sixteen thousand, and their tribute to Jehovah [is] two and thirty persons.
41 Rhoddodd Moses y dreth, sef yr offrwm i'r ARGLWYDD, i Eleasar yr offeiriad, fel y gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses.
41And Moses giveth the tribute — Jehovah`s heave-offering — to Eleazar the priest, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
42 Yr oedd y rhan nad oedd yn eiddo i'r rhyfelwyr (sef yr hanner a rannodd Moses i'r Israeliaid,
42And of the sons of Israel`s half, which Moses halved from the men who war —
43 yn eiddo i'r cynulliad), yn cynnwys tri chant tri deg saith o filoedd a phum cant o ddefaid,
43and the company`s half is, of the flock three hundred thousand, and thirty thousand, seven thousand and five hundred;
44 tri deg chwech o filoedd o eidionau,
44and of the herd six and thirty thousand;
45 tri deg o filoedd a phum cant o asynnod,
45and of asses thirty thousand and five hundred;
46 ac un fil ar bymtheg o bobl.
46and of human beings sixteen thousand —
47 O gyfran yr Israeliaid, cymerodd Moses un o bob hanner cant o ddynion ac o anifeiliaid, a'u rhoi i'r Lefiaid oedd yn gofalu am dabernacl yr ARGLWYDD, fel y gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses.
47Moses taketh from the sons of Israel`s half the one possession from the fifty, of man and of beast, and giveth them to the Levites keeping the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
48 Yna daeth y rhai oedd yn swyddogion dros filoedd y fyddin, sef capteiniaid y miloedd a'r cannoedd, at Moses
48And the inspectors whom the thousands of the host hath, (heads of the thousands and heads of the hundreds), draw near unto Moses,
49 a dweud wrtho, "Y mae dy weision wedi cyfrif y rhyfelwyr a roddaist dan ein hawdurdod, a chael nad ydym wedi colli'r un ohonynt.
49and they say unto Moses, `Thy servants have taken up the sum of the men of war who [are] with us, and not a man of us hath been missed;
50 Cyflwynodd pob un ohonom yr hyn a gafodd, addurniadau aur, cadwynau, breichledau, modrwyau, clustlysau, a thorchau, yn offrwm i'r ARGLWYDD, er mwyn gwneud cymod drosom ein hunain gerbron yr ARGLWYDD."
50and we bring near Jehovah`s offering, each that which he hath found, vessels of gold — chain, and bracelet, seal-ring, [ear]-ring, and bead — to make atonement for ourselves before Jehovah.`
51 Yna cymerodd Moses ac Eleasar yr offeiriad yr aur a'r holl addurniadau cywrain oddi wrthynt.
51And Moses receiveth — Eleazar the priest also — the gold from them, every made vessel,
52 Yr oedd yr holl aur a offrymwyd i'r ARGLWYDD gan gapteiniaid y miloedd a'r cannoedd yn pwyso un deg chwech o filoedd saith gant a phum deg o siclau,
52and all the gold of the heave-offering which they have lifted up to Jehovah is sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels, from heads of the thousands, and from heads of the hundreds;
53 gan fod pob un o'r rhyfelwyr wedi cymryd rhywfaint o'r ysbail.
53(the men of the host have spoiled each for himself);
54 Cymerodd Moses ac Eleasar yr offeiriad yr aur oddi wrth gapteiniaid y miloedd a'r cannoedd, a daethant ag ef i babell y cyfarfod, yn goffadwriaeth i bobl Israel gerbron yr ARGLWYDD.
54and Moses taketh — Eleazar the priest also — the gold from the heads of the thousands and of the hundreds, and they bring it in unto the tent of meeting — a memorial for the sons of Israel before Jehovah.
