1 Yna daeth un o'r saith angel yr oedd y saith ffiol ganddynt, a siarad mi. "Tyrd yma," meddai, "dangosaf iti'r farn ar y butain fawr sy'n eistedd ar lawer o ddyfroedd.
1And there came one of the seven messengers, who were having the seven vials, and he spake with me, saying to me, `Come, I will shew to thee the judgment of the great whore, who is sitting upon the many waters,
2 Gyda hi y puteiniodd brenhinoedd y ddaear, ac ar win ei phuteindra y meddwodd trigolion y ddaear."
2with whom the kings of the earth did commit whoredom; and made drunk from the wine of her whoredom were those inhabiting the earth;`
3 Yna cludodd fi yn yr Ysbryd i anialwch. Gwelais wraig yn eistedd ar fwystfil ysgarlad ag enwau cableddus drosto i gyd, a chanddo saith ben a deg corn.
3and he carried me away to a wilderness in the Spirit, and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet-coloured beast, full of names of evil-speaking, having seven heads and ten horns,
4 Yr oedd y wraig wedi ei gwisgo phorffor ac ysgarlad, a'i thecu thlysau aur, gemau gwerthfawr ac pherlau. Yn ei llaw yr oedd ganddi gwpan aur yn llawn o ffieidd-dra ac aflendid ei phuteindra hi.
4and the woman was arrayed with purple and scarlet-colour, and gilded with gold, and precious stone, and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and uncleanness of her whoredom,
5 Ac ar ei thalcen yr oedd enw wedi ei ysgrifennu, ac ystyr dirgel iddo: "Babilon fawr, mam puteiniaid a ffiaidd bethau'r ddaear."
5and upon her forehead was a name written: `Secret, Babylon the Great, the Mother of the Whores, and the Abominations of the earth.`
6 Gwelais y wraig yn feddw ar waed y saint ac ar waed tystion Iesu. Wrth edrych arni, rhyfeddais yn fawr iawn.
6And I saw the woman drunken from the blood of the saints, and from the blood of the witnesses of Jesus, and I did wonder — having seen her — with great wonder;
7 Gofynnodd yr angel imi, "Pam yr wyt yn rhyfeddu? Fe esboniaf fi iti ddirgelwch y wraig a'r bwystfil sy'n ei chario, y bwystfil y mae'r saith ben a'r deg corn ganddo.
7and the messenger said to me, `Wherefore didst thou wonder? I — I will tell thee the secret of the woman and of the beast that [is] carrying her, which hath the seven heads and the ten horns.
8 Ynglu375?n 'r bwystfil a welaist, yr oedd yn bod, ac nid yw'n bod, ond y mae ar fin codi o'r dyfnder a mynd i ddistryw. Bydd trigolion y ddaear, y rhai nad yw eu henwau'n ysgrifenedig yn llyfr y bywyd er seiliad y byd, yn rhyfeddu o weld y bwystfil; oherwydd yr oedd yn bod, ac nid yw'n bod, ac y mae i ddod.
8`The beast that thou didst see: it was, and it is not; and it is about to come up out of the abyss, and to go away to destruction, and wonder shall those dwelling upon the earth, whose names have not been written upon the scroll of the life from the foundation of the world, beholding the beast that was, and is not, although it is.
9 Yma y mae angen meddwl gwelediad ganddo: y saith ben, saith mynydd ydynt, ac arnynt y mae'r wraig yn eistedd.
9`Here [is] the mind that is having wisdom; the seven heads are seven mountains, upon which the woman doth sit,
10 A saith brenin ydynt hefyd; y mae pump wedi syrthio, y mae un yn llywodraethu, nid yw'r llall wedi dod eto, a phan ddaw nid yw i aros ond am fyr amser.
10and there are seven kings, the five did fall, and the one is, the other did not yet come, and when he may come, it behoveth him to remain a little time;
11 A'r bwystfil oedd yn bod ac nad yw'n bod, yr wythfed yw ef, ac eto y mae'n un o'r saith, ac y mae'n mynd i ddistryw.
11and the beast that was, and is not, he also is eighth, and out of the seven he is, and to destruction he doth go away.
12 A'r deg corn a welaist, deg brenin ydynt, rhai na ddaethant eto i'r orsedd, ond fe dderbyniant awdurdod brenhinol am un awr ynghyd 'r bwystfil.
12`And the ten horns that thou sawest, are ten kings, who a kingdom did not yet receive, but authority as kings the same hour do receive with the beast,
13 Y mae'r rhain yn unfryd ar drosglwyddo eu gallu a'u hawdurdod i'r bwystfil.
13these have one mind, and their own power and authority to the beast they shall give over;
14 Fe ryfelant yn erbyn yr Oen, ac fe orchfyga'r Oen hwy, oherwydd y mae ef yn Arglwydd arglwyddi a Brenin brenhinoedd, a'i osgorddlu ef yw'r rhai a alwyd ac a etholwyd ac sy'n ffyddlon."
14these with the Lamb shall make war, and the Lamb shall overcome them, because Lord of lords he is, and King of kings, and those with him are called, and choice, and stedfast.`
15 A dywedodd wrthyf, "Y dyfroedd a welaist, lle'r oedd y butain yn eistedd, pobloedd a thyrfaoedd, cenhedloedd ac ieithoedd ydynt.
15And he saith to me, `The waters that thou didst see, where the whore doth sit, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues;`
16 A'r deg corn a welaist, a'r bwystfil, byddant hwy'n casu'r butain, ac yn ei gadael yn ddiffaith ac yn noeth. Bwytnt ei chnawd hi a'i llosgi'n ulw thn.
16and the ten horns that thou didst see upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her in fire,
17 Oherwydd rhoddodd Duw yn eu calonnau gyflawni ei fwriad ef, iddynt drosglwyddo'n unfryd eu teyrnas i'r bwystfil hyd nes cwblhau geiriau Duw.
17for God did give into their hearts to do its mind, and to make one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast till the sayings of God may be complete,
18 Y wraig a welaist yw'r ddinas fawr sydd 'r frenhiniaeth ganddi ar frenhinoedd y ddaear."
18and the woman that thou didst see is the great city that is having reign over the kings of the land.`
