1 "Ac at angel yr eglwys yn Sardis, ysgrifenna: 'Dyma y mae'r hwn sydd ganddo saith ysbryd Duw a'r saith seren yn ei ddweud: Gwn am dy weithredoedd, a bod gennyt enw dy fod yn fyw er mai marw ydwyt.
1And to the messenger of the assembly in Sardis write: These things saith he who is having the Seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars: I have known thy works, and that thou hast the name that thou dost live, and thou art dead;
2 Bydd effro, a chryfha'r hyn sydd ar l gennyt, sydd ar ddarfod amdano, oherwydd ni chefais dy weithredoedd yn gyflawn yng ngolwg fy Nuw i.
2become watching, and strengthen the rest of the things that are about to die, for I have not found thy works fulfilled before God.
3 Cofia, felly, beth a dderbyniaist ac a glywaist; cadw at hynny ac edifarha. Os na fydd iti ddeffro, fe ddof fel lleidr, ac ni chei wybod pa awr y dof atat.
3`Remember, then, how thou hast received, and heard, and be keeping, and reform: if, then, thou mayest not watch, I will come upon thee as a thief, and thou mayest not know what hour I will come upon thee.
4 Ond y mae gennyt rai unigolion yn Sardis nad ydynt wedi halogi eu dillad; caiff y rhain rodio gyda mi mewn gwisgoedd gwynion, oherwydd y maent yn deilwng.
4Thou hast a few names even in Sardis who did not defile their garments, and they shall walk with me in white, because they are worthy.
5 Y sawl sy'n gorchfygu, gwisgir hwnnw yn yr un modd mewn gwisgoedd gwynion, ac ni thorraf byth ei enw allan o lyfr y bywyd, a chyffesaf ei enw gerbron fy Nhad a cherbron ei angylion ef.
5He who is overcoming — this one — shall be arrayed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the scroll of the life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before His messengers.
6 Y sawl sydd chlustiau ganddo, gwrandawed beth y mae'r Ysbryd yn ei ddweud wrth yr eglwysi.'
6He who is having an ear — let him hear what the Spirit saith to the assemblies.
7 "Ac at angel yr eglwys yn Philadelffia, ysgrifenna: 'Dyma y mae'r Un sanctaidd, yr Un gwir, yn ei ddweud, yr hwn y mae allwedd Dafydd ganddo, yr hwn sy'n agor, ac ni fydd neb yn cau, ac yn cau, a neb yn agor:
7`And to the messenger of the assembly in Philadelphia write: These things saith he who is holy, he who is true, he who is having the key of David, he who is opening and no one doth shut, and he shutteth and no one doth open!
8 Gwn am dy weithredoedd, a dyma fi wedi rhoi o'th flaen ddrws agored na fedr neb ei gau. Gwn mai ychydig nerth sydd gennyt, ond cedwaist fy ngair ac ni wedaist fy enw.
8I have known thy works; lo, I have set before thee a door — opened, and no one is able to shut it, because thou hast a little power, and didst keep my word, and didst not deny my name;
9 Wele, rhoddaf iti rai o synagog Satan sydd yn eu galw eu hunain yn Iddewon a hwythau heb fod felly; dweud celwydd y maent. Wele, gwnaf iddynt ddod ac ymgrymu wrth dy draed, a chael gwybod i mi dy garu di.
9lo, I make of the synagogue of the Adversary those saying themselves to be Jews, and are not, but do lie; lo, I will make them that they may come and bow before thy feet, and may know that I loved thee.
10 Am iti gadw fy ngair i ddyfalbarhau, byddaf finnau yn dy gadw di rhag awr y prawf sydd ar ddod ar yr holl fyd i brofi trigolion y ddaear.
10`Because thou didst keep the word of my endurance, I also will keep thee from the hour of the trial that is about to come upon all the world, to try those dwelling upon the earth.
11 Yr wyf yn dod yn fuan; glyna wrth yr hyn sydd gennyt, rhag i neb ddwyn dy goron di.
11Lo, I come quickly, be holding fast that which thou hast, that no one may receive thy crown.
12 Y sawl sy'n gorchfygu, fe'i gwnaf yn golofn yn nheml fy Nuw i, ac nid allan oddi yno byth. Ac ysgrifennaf arno enw fy Nuw i ac enw dinas fy Nuw i, y Jerwsalem newydd sy'n disgyn o'r nef oddi wrth fy Nuw i a'm henw newydd i.
12He who is overcoming — I will make him a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, and without he may not go any more, and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, that doth come down out of the heaven from my God — also my new name.
13 Y sawl sydd chlustiau ganddo, gwrandawed beth y mae'r Ysbryd yn ei ddweud wrth yr eglwysi.'
13He who is having an ear — let him hear what the Spirit saith to the assemblies.
14 "Ac at angel yr eglwys yn Laodicea, ysgrifenna: 'Dyma y mae'r Amen, y tyst ffyddlon a gwir, a dechreuad creadigaeth Duw, yn ei ddweud:
14`And to the messenger of the assembly of the Laodiceans write: These things saith the Amen, the witness — the faithful and true — the chief of the creation of God;
15 Gwn am dy weithredoedd; nid wyt nac yn oer nac yn boeth. Gwyn fyd na fyddit yn oer neu yn boeth!
15I have known thy works, that neither cold art thou nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 Felly, gan mai claear ydwyt, heb fod nac yn boeth nac yn oer, fe'th boeraf allan o'm genau.
16So — because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to vomit thee out of my mouth;
17 Dweud yr wyt, "Rwy'n gyfoethog, ac wedi casglu golud, ac nid oes arnaf eisiau dim"; ac ni wyddost mai gwrthrych trueni a thosturi ydwyt, yn dlawd, yn ddall, ac yn noeth.
17because thou sayest — I am rich, and have grown rich, and have need of nothing, and hast not known that thou art the wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked,
18 Felly, cynghoraf di i brynu gennyf fi aur wedi ei buro drwy dn, iti ddod yn gyfoethog, a dillad gwyn i'w gwisgo, i guddio gwarth dy noethni, ac eli i iro dy lygaid, iti gael gweld.
18I counsel thee to buy from me gold fired by fire, that thou mayest be rich, and white garments that thou mayest be arrayed, and the shame of thy nakedness may not be manifest, and with eye-salve anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see.
19 Yr wyf fi'n ceryddu ac yn disgyblu'r rhai a garaf; bydd selog, felly, ac edifarha.
19`As many as I love, I do convict and chasten; be zealous, then, and reform;
20 Wele, yr wyf yn sefyll wrth y drws ac yn curo; os clyw rhywun fy llais ac agor y drws, dof i mewn ato, a bydd y ddau ohonom yn cydfwyta gyda'n gilydd.
20lo, I have stood at the door, and I knock; if any one may hear my voice, and may open the door, I will come in unto him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 I'r sawl sy'n gorchfygu y rhof yr hawl i eistedd gyda mi ar fy ngorsedd, megis y gorchfygais innau ac yr eisteddais gyda'm Tad ar ei orsedd ef.
21He who is overcoming — I will give to him to sit with me in my throne, as I also did overcome and did sit down with my Father in His throne.
22 Y sawl sydd chlustiau ganddo, gwrandawed beth y mae'r Ysbryd yn ei ddweud wrth yr eglwysi.'"
22He who is having an ear — let him hear what the Spirit saith to the assemblies.`
