¹ Meddyliodd Dafydd, "Tybed a oes unrhyw un ar �l o deulu Saul erbyn hyn, imi wneud caredigrwydd ag ef er mwyn Jonathan?"

¹And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

² Yr oedd gan deulu Saul was o'r enw Siba, a galwyd ef at Ddafydd. Gofynnodd y brenin iddo, "Ai Siba wyt ti?" Atebodd yntau, "Ie, dyma dy was."

²And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him unto David; and the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.

³ Yna gofynnodd y brenin, "A oes unrhyw un ar �l o deulu Saul imi wneud caredigrwydd ag ef yn enw Duw?" Atebodd Siba, "Oes, y mae mab i Jonathan sydd yn gloff yn ei draed."

³And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, who is lame of his feet.

⁴ Gofynnodd y brenin, "Ple mae ef?" A dywedodd Siba, "Y mae yn Lo-debar, yng nghartref Machir fab Ammiel."

⁴And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.

⁵ Anfonodd y Brenin Dafydd a'i gyrchu o Lo-debar, o gartref Machir fab Ammiel.

⁵Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.

⁶ Pan gyrhaeddodd Meffiboseth fab Jonathan, fab Saul, syrthiodd ar ei wyneb o flaen Dafydd ac ymgreinio; gofynnodd Dafydd, "Meffiboseth?" ac atebodd yntau, "Ie, dyma dy was."

⁶And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came unto David, and fell on his face, and did obeisance. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold, thy servant!

⁷ Dywedodd Dafydd wrtho, "Paid ag ofni, yr wyf wedi penderfynu gwneud caredigrwydd � thi er mwyn Jonathan dy dad; yr wyf am roi'n �l i ti holl dir dy daid Saul, ac fe gei di dy fwyd bob dydd wrth fy mwrdd i."

⁷And David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

⁸ Moesymgrymodd Meffiboseth a dweud, "Beth yw dy was, dy fod yn troi i edrych ar gi marw fel fi?"

⁸And he did obeisance, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

⁹ Yna galwodd y brenin am Siba gwas Saul, a dweud wrtho, "Yr wyf yn rhoi i fab dy feistr bopeth oedd yn perthyn i Saul ac i unrhyw un o'i deulu.

⁹Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, All that pertained to Saul and to all his house have I given unto thy master's son.

¹⁰ Yr wyt ti i lafurio'r tir drosto � ti, a'th blant, a'th weision � a dod �'r cynnyrch yn fwyd i deulu dy feistr; ond caiff Meffiboseth, mab dy feistr, ei fwyd bob dydd wrth fy mwrdd i." Yr oedd gan Siba bymtheg o feibion ac ugain gwas.

¹⁰And thou shalt till the land for him, thou, and thy sons, and thy servants; and thou shalt bring in [the fruits], that thy master's son may have bread to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

¹¹ Dywedodd Siba wrth y brenin, "Fe wna dy was yn union fel y mae f'arglwydd frenin yn gorchymyn iddo." Bu Meffiboseth yn bwyta wrth fwrdd Dafydd fel un o blant y brenin.

¹¹Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king commandeth his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, [said the king], he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.

¹² Yr oedd ganddo fab bach o'r enw Micha. Yr oedd pawb oedd yn byw yn nhu375? Siba yn weision i Meffiboseth.

¹²And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.

¹³ Yr oedd Meffiboseth yn byw yn Jerwsalem am ei fod yn cael ei fwyd bob dydd wrth fwrdd y brenin. Yr oedd yn gloff yn ei ddeudroed.

¹³So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he did eat continually at the king's table. And he was lame in both his feet.
