¹ Bydd yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn dod � thi i'r wlad yr wyt yn mynd iddi i'w meddiannu, ac yn gyrru allan o'th flaen lawer o genhedloedd, sef Hethiaid, Girgasiaid, Amoriaid, Canaaneaid, Peresiaid, Hefiaid a Jebusiaid, saith o genhedloedd sy'n fwy niferus a chryfach na thi;

¹When Jehovah thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and shall cast out many nations before thee, the Hittite, and the Girgashite, and the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

² a phan fydd yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn eu darostwng o'th flaen, a thithau'n ymosod arnynt, yr wyt i'w difa'n llwyr. Paid � gwneud cyfamod � hwy na dangos trugaredd tuag atynt.

²and when Jehovah thy God shall deliver them up before thee, and thou shalt smite them; then thou shalt utterly destroy them: thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them;

³ Paid � gwneud cytundeb priodas � hwy trwy roi dy ferched i'w meibion a chymryd eu merched yn wragedd i'th feibion,

³neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

⁴ oherwydd fe wn�nt i'th blant droi oddi wrthyf ac addoli duwiau eraill, a bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn ddig wrthyt ac yn dy ddifa ar unwaith.

⁴For he will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of Jehovah be kindled against you, and he will destroy thee quickly.

⁵ Ond fel hyn yr ydych i wneud iddynt: tynnu i lawr eu hallorau, dinistrio eu colofnau, a malurio eu pyst Asera a llosgi eu delwau yn y t�n.

⁵But thus shall ye deal with them: ye shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and hew down their Asherim, and burn their graven images with fire.

⁶ Yr ydych chwi yn bobl sanctaidd i'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw. Y mae'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw wedi eich dewis o blith yr holl bobloedd sydd ar wyneb y ddaear, i fod yn bobl arbennig iddo ef.

⁶For thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God: Jehovah thy God hath chosen thee to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.

⁷ Nid am eich bod yn fwy niferus na'r holl bobloedd yr hoffodd yr ARGLWYDD chwi a'ch dewis; yn wir chwi oedd y lleiaf o'r holl bobloedd.

⁷Jehovah did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all peoples:

⁸ Ond am fod yr ARGLWYDD yn eich caru ac yn cadw'r addewid a dyngodd i'ch hynafiaid, daeth � chwi allan � llaw gadarn a'ch gwaredu o du375? caethiwed, o law Pharo brenin yr Aifft.

⁸but because Jehovah loveth you, and because he would keep the oath which he sware unto your fathers, hath Jehovah brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

⁹ Felly deallwch mai'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw sydd Dduw; y mae'n Dduw ffyddlon, yn cadw cyfamod a ffyddlondeb hyd fil o genedlaethau gyda'r rhai sy'n ei garu ac yn cadw ei orchmynion,

⁹Know therefore that Jehovah thy God, he is God, the faithful God, who keepeth covenant and lovingkindness with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations,

¹⁰ ond y mae'n talu'n �l i'r rhai sy'n ei gas�u trwy eu difa; yn wir nid yw'n oedi i dalu'n �l i'r rhai sy'n ei gas�u.

¹⁰and repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

¹¹ Yr ydych i gadw'r gorchmynion, y deddfau a'r cyfreithiau yr wyf fi heddiw yn gorchymyn i chwi eu cadw.

¹¹Thou shalt therefore keep the commandment, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which I command thee this day, to do them.

¹² Os byddwch yn gwrando ar y cyfreithiau hyn ac yn gofalu eu cadw, yna bydd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn cadw'r cyfamod a'r ffyddlondeb a dyngodd i'ch hynafiaid.

¹²And it shall come to pass, because ye hearken to these ordinances, and keep and do them, that Jehovah thy God will keep with thee the covenant and the lovingkindness which he sware unto thy fathers:

¹³ Bydd yn eich caru, yn eich bendithio ac yn gwneud ichwi gynyddu; bydd hefyd yn bendithio'ch plant a chynnyrch eich tir, eich u375?d, eich gwin a'ch olew, ac epil eich gwartheg a'ch praidd yn y tir y tyngodd i'ch hynafiaid y byddai'n ei roi ichwi.

¹³and he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee; he will also bless the fruit of thy body and the fruit of thy ground, thy grain and thy new wine and thine oil, the increase of thy cattle and the young of thy flock, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

¹⁴ Cewch eich bendithio yn fwy na'r holl bobloedd; ni fydd yr un ohonoch chwi, yn wryw na benyw, yn anffrwythlon, na'r un o'ch anifeiliaid.

¹⁴Thou shalt be blessed above all peoples: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.

¹⁵ Fe dry'r ARGLWYDD bob clefyd oddi wrthych, ac ni fydd yn dwyn arnoch chwi yr un o'r heintiau difrifol a brofasoch yn yr Aifft, ond yn eu gosod ar yr holl rai sy'n eich cas�u.

¹⁵And Jehovah will take away from thee all sickness; and none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, will he put upon thee, but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

¹⁶ Yr ydych i ddifa'r holl bobloedd y mae'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn eu rhoi i chwi; nid ydych i dosturio wrthynt nac addoli eu duwiau, oherwydd byddai hynny yn fagl ichwi.

¹⁶And thou shalt consume all the peoples that Jehovah thy God shall deliver unto thee; thine eye shall not pity them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.

¹⁷ Hwyrach y byddwch yn dweud ynoch eich hunain, "Y mae'r cen-hedloedd hyn yn fwy niferus na ni; sut felly y gallwn eu gyrru allan?"

¹⁷If thou shalt say in thy heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?

¹⁸ Peidiwch �'u hofni; daliwch i gofio'r hyn a wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw i Pharo a'r Aifft i gyd.

¹⁸thou shalt not be afraid of them: thou shalt well remember what Jehovah thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;

¹⁹ Gwelsoch �'ch llygaid eich hunain y treialon mawr, yr arwyddion a'r rhyfeddodau, ac fel y daeth yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw � chwi allan � llaw gadarn a braich estynedig; felly y gwna'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw i'r holl bobloedd yr ydych yn eu hofni.

¹⁹the great trials which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm, whereby Jehovah thy God brought thee out: so shall Jehovah thy God do unto all the peoples of whom thou art afraid.

²⁰ Bydd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw hefyd yn anfon cacwn i'w plith, nes difa pob un fydd yn weddill neu yn cuddio oddi wrthych.

²⁰Moreover Jehovah thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves, perish from before thee.

²¹ Peidiwch ag arswydo o'u hachos, oherwydd bydd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw, y Duw mawr ac ofnadwy, gyda chwi.

²¹Thou shalt not be affrighted at them; for Jehovah thy God is in the midst of thee, a great God and a terrible.

²² Fe fydd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn gyrru allan y cenhedloedd hyn o'ch blaenau fesul ychydig; ni fyddwch yn eu difa ar unwaith, rhag i'r anifeiliaid gwyllt fynd yn rhy niferus ichwi.

²²And Jehovah thy God will cast out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.

²³ Bydd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn eu darostwng o'ch blaenau, ac yn dwyn arnynt ddryswch mawr nes eu dinistrio.

²³But Jehovah thy God will deliver them up before thee, and will discomfit them with a great discomfiture, until they be destroyed.

²⁴ Bydd yn rhoi eu brenhinoedd yn eich llaw, a byddwch yn dileu eu henwau o dan y nefoedd; ni all unrhyw un eich gwrthsefyll nes i chwi eu dinistrio.

²⁴And he will deliver their kings into thy hand, and thou shalt make their name to perish from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.

²⁵ Yr ydych i losgi delwau eu duwiau yn y t�n; nid ydych i chwennych eu harian a'u haur, na'u cymryd, rhag iddynt fod yn fagl ichwi, oherwydd y maent yn ffieidd-dra i'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw.

²⁵The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein; for it is an abomination to Jehovah thy God.

²⁶ Nid ydych i ddwyn i'ch tu375? unrhyw ffieidd-dra, rhag i chwi fynd yn beth i'w ddifrodi fel yntau; yr ydych i'w ddirmygu'n llwyr a'i ffieiddio, oherwydd peth i'w ddifrodi ydyw.

²⁶And thou shalt not bring an abomination into thy house, and become a devoted thing like unto it: thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a devoted thing.
