¹ Yr wyf am eich atgoffa, gyfeillion, am yr Efengyl a bregethais i chwi ac a dderbyniasoch chwithau, yr Efengyl sydd yn sylfaen eich bywyd

¹But I make known to you, brethren, the glad tidings which I announced to you, which also ye received, in which also ye stand,

² ac yn foddion eich iachawdwriaeth. A ydych yn dal i lynu wrth yr hyn a bregethais? Onid e, yn ofer y credasoch.

²by which also ye are saved, (if ye hold fast the word which I announced to you as the glad tidings,) unless indeed ye have believed in vain.

³ Oherwydd, yn y lle cyntaf, traddodais i chwi yr hyn a dderbyniais: i Grist farw dros ein pechodau ni, yn �l yr Ysgrythurau;

³For I delivered to you, in the first place, what also I had received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures;

⁴ iddo gael ei gladdu, a'i gyfodi y trydydd dydd, yn �l yr Ysgrythurau;

⁴and that he was buried; and that he was raised the third day, according to the scriptures;

⁵ ac iddo ymddangos i Ceffas, ac yna i'r Deuddeg.

⁵and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

⁶ Yna, ymddangosodd i fwy na phum cant o'i ddilynwyr ar unwaith � ac y mae'r mwyafrif ohonynt yn fyw hyd heddiw, er bod rhai wedi huno.

⁶Then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the most remain until now, but some also have fallen asleep.

⁷ Yna, ymddangosodd i Iago, yna i'r holl apostolion.

⁷Then he appeared to James; then to all the apostles;

⁸ Yn ddiwethaf oll, fe ymddangosodd i minnau hefyd, fel i ryw erthyl o apostol.

⁸and last of all, as to an abortion, he appeared to *me* also.

⁹ Oherwydd y lleiaf o'r apostolion wyf fi, un nad wyf deilwng i'm galw yn apostol, gan imi erlid eglwys Dduw.

⁹For *I* am the least of the apostles, who am not fit to be called apostle, because I have persecuted the assembly of God.

¹⁰ Ond trwy ras Duw yr wyf yr hyn ydwyf, ac ni bu ei ras ef tuag ataf yn ofer. Yn wir, mi lafuriais yn helaethach na hwy i gyd � eto nid myfi, ond gras Duw, a oedd gyda mi.

¹⁰But by God's grace I am what I am; and his grace, which [was] towards me, has not been vain; but I have laboured more abundantly than they all, but not *I*, but the grace of God which [was] with me.

¹¹ Ond prun bynnag ai myfi ai hwy, felly yr ydym yn pregethu, ac felly y credasoch chwithau.

¹¹Whether, therefore, I or they, thus we preach, and thus ye have believed.

¹² Yn awr, os pregethir Crist, ei fod wedi ei gyfodi oddi wrth y meirw, sut y mae rhai yn eich plith yn dweud nad oes atgyfodiad y meirw?

¹²Now if Christ is preached that he is raised from among [the] dead, how say some among you that there is not a resurrection of [those that are] dead?

¹³ Os nad oes atgyfodiad y meirw, nid yw Crist wedi ei gyfodi chwaith.

¹³But if there is not a resurrection of [those that are] dead, neither is Christ raised:

¹⁴ Ac os nad yw Crist wedi ei gyfodi, gwagedd yw'r hyn a bregethir gennym ni, a gwagedd hefyd yw eich ffydd chwi,

¹⁴but if Christ is not raised, then, indeed, vain also [is] our preaching, and vain also your faith.

¹⁵ a ninnau hefyd wedi ein cael yn dystion twyllodrus i Dduw, am ein bod wedi tystiolaethu iddo gyfodi Crist � ac yntau heb wneud hynny, os yw'n wir nad yw'r meirw'n cael eu cyfodi.

¹⁵And we are found also false witnesses of God; for we have witnessed concerning God that he raised the Christ, whom he has not raised if indeed [those that are] dead are not raised.

¹⁶ Oherwydd os nad yw'r meirw'n cael eu cyfodi, nid yw Crist wedi ei gyfodi chwaith.

¹⁶For if [those that are] dead are not raised, neither is Christ raised;

¹⁷ Ac os nad yw Crist wedi ei gyfodi, ofer yw eich ffydd, ac yn eich pechodau yr ydych o hyd.

¹⁷but if Christ be not raised, your faith [is] vain; ye are yet in your sins.

¹⁸ Y mae'n dilyn hefyd fod y rhai a hunodd yng Nghrist wedi darfod amdanynt.

¹⁸Then indeed also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

¹⁹ Os ar gyfer y bywyd hwn yn unig yr ydym wedi gobeithio yng Nghrist, nyni yw'r bobl fwyaf truenus o bawb.

¹⁹If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are [the] most miserable of all men.

²⁰ Ond y gwir yw fod Crist wedi ei gyfodi oddi wrth y meirw, yn flaenffrwyth y rhai sydd wedi huno.

²⁰(But now Christ is raised from among [the] dead, first-fruits of those fallen asleep.

²¹ Gan mai trwy ddyn y daeth marwolaeth, trwy ddyn hefyd y daeth atgyfodiad y meirw.

²¹For since by man [came] death, by man also resurrection of [those that are] dead.

²² Oherwydd fel y mae pawb yn marw yn Adda, felly hefyd y gwneir pawb yn fyw yng Nghrist.

²²For as in the Adam all die, thus also in the Christ all shall be made alive.

²³ Ond pob un yn ei briod drefn: Crist y blaenffrwyth, ac yna, ar ei ddyfodiad ef, y rhai sy'n eiddo Crist.

²³But each in his own rank: [the] first-fruits, Christ; then those that are the Christ's at his coming.

²⁴ Yna daw'r diwedd, pan fydd Crist yn traddodi'r deyrnas i Dduw'r Tad, ar �l iddo ddileu pob tywysogaeth, a phob awdurdod a gallu.

²⁴Then the end, when he gives up the kingdom to him [who is] God and Father; when he shall have annulled all rule and all authority and power.

²⁵ Oherwydd y mae'n rhaid iddo ef ddal i deyrnasu nes iddo osod ei holl elynion dan ei draed.

²⁵For he must reign until he put all enemies under his feet.

²⁶ Y gelyn olaf a ddil�ir yw angau.

²⁶[The] last enemy [that] is annulled [is] death.

²⁷ Oherwydd, yng ngeiriau'r Ysgrythur, "darostyngodd bob peth dan ei draed ef." Ond pan yw'n dweud bod pob peth wedi ei ddarostwng, y mae'n amlwg nad yw hyn yn cynnwys Duw, yr un sydd wedi darostwng pob peth iddo ef.

²⁷For he has put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he says that all things are put in subjection, [it is] evident that [it is] except him who put all things in subjection to him.

²⁸ Ond pan fydd pob peth wedi ei ddarostwng i'r Mab, yna fe ddarostyngir y Mab yntau i'r hwn a ddarostyngodd bob peth iddo ef, ac felly Duw fydd oll yn oll.

²⁸But when all things shall have been brought into subjection to him, then the Son also himself shall be placed in subjection to him who put all things in subjection to him, that God may be all in all.)

²⁹ Os nad oes atgyfodiad, beth a wna'r rhai hynny a fedyddir dros y meirw? Os nad yw'r meirw'n cael eu cyfodi o gwbl, i ba bwrpas y bedyddir hwy drostynt?

²⁹Since what shall the baptised for the dead do if [those that are] dead rise not at all? why also are they baptised for them?

³⁰ Ac i ba ddiben yr ydym ninnau hefyd mewn perygl bob awr?

³⁰Why do *we* also endanger ourselves every hour?

³¹ Yr wyf yn marw beunydd! Y mae hyn cyn wired � bod gennyf ymffrost ynoch, gyfeillion, yng Nghrist Iesu ein Harglwydd.

³¹Daily I die, by your boasting which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

³² Os fel dyn cyffredin yr ymleddais � bwystfilod yn Effesus, pa elw fyddai hyn imi? Os na chyfodir y meirw, "Gadewch inni fwyta ac yfed, canys yfory byddwn farw."

³²If, [to speak] after the manner of man, I have fought with beasts in Ephesus, what is the profit to me if [those that are] dead do not rise? let us eat and drink; for to-morrow we die.

³³ Peidiwch � chymryd eich camarwain: "Y mae cwmni drwg yn llygru cymeriad da."

³³Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

³⁴ Deffrowch i'ch iawn bwyll, a chefnwch ar bechod. Oherwydd y mae rhai na wyddant ddim am Dduw. I godi cywilydd arnoch yr wyf yn dweud hyn.

³⁴Awake up righteously, and sin not; for some are ignorant of God: I speak to you as a matter of shame.

³⁵ Ond bydd rhywun yn dweud: "Pa fodd y mae'r meirw'n cael eu cyfodi? � pha fath gorff y byddant yn dod?"

³⁵But some one will say, How are the dead raised? and with what body do they come?

³⁶ Y ffu373?l! Beth am yr had yr wyt ti yn ei hau? Ni roddir bywyd iddo heb iddo farw yn gyntaf.

³⁶Fool; what *thou* sowest is not quickened unless it die.

³⁷ A'r hyn yr wyt yn ei hau, nid y corff a fydd ydyw, ond gronyn noeth, o wenith efallai, neu o ryw rawn arall.

³⁷And what thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be, but a bare grain: it may be of wheat, or some one of the rest:

³⁸ Ond Duw, yn �l ei ewyllys ei hun, sydd yn rhoi corff iddo, i bob un o'r hadau ei gorff ei hun.

³⁸and God gives to it a body as he has pleased, and to each of the seeds its own body.

³⁹ Oherwydd nid yr un cnawd yw pob cnawd, ond un peth yw cnawd dynion, peth arall yw cnawd anifeiliaid, peth arall yw cnawd adar, a pheth arall yw cnawd pysgod.

³⁹Every flesh [is] not the same flesh, but one [is] of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another [flesh] of birds, and another of fishes.

⁴⁰ Y mae hefyd gyrff nefol a chyrff daearol, ond un peth yw gogoniant y rhai nefol, a pheth gwahanol yw gogoniant y rhai daearol.

⁴⁰And [there are] heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies: but different is the glory of the heavenly, different that of the earthly:

⁴¹ Un peth yw gogoniant yr haul, a pheth arall yw gogoniant y lloer, a pheth arall yw gogoniant y s�r. Yn wir, y mae rhagor rhwng seren a seren mewn gogoniant.

⁴¹one [the] sun's glory, and another [the] moon's glory, and another [the] stars' glory; for star differs from star in glory.

⁴² Felly hefyd y bydd gyda golwg ar atgyfodiad y meirw. Heuir mewn llygredigaeth, cyfodir mewn anllygredigaeth.

⁴²Thus also [is] the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruptibility.

⁴³ Heuir mewn gwaradwydd, cyfodir mewn gogoniant. Heuir mewn gwendid, cyfodir mewn nerth. Yn gorff anianol yr heuir ef, yn gorff ysbrydol y cyfodir ef.

⁴³It is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.

⁴⁴ Os oes corff anianol, y mae hefyd gorff ysbrydol.

⁴⁴It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body: if there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual [one].

⁴⁵ Felly, yn wir, y mae'n ysgrifenedig: "Daeth y dyn cyntaf, Adda, yn fod byw." Ond daeth yr Adda diwethaf yn ysbryd sydd yn rhoi bywyd.

⁴⁵Thus also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul; the last Adam a quickening spirit.

⁴⁶ Eithr nid yr ysbrydol sy'n dod gyntaf, ond yr anianol, ac yna'r ysbrydol.

⁴⁶But that which is spiritual [was] not first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual:

⁴⁷ Y dyn cyntaf, o'r ddaear y mae, a llwch ydyw; ond yr ail ddyn, o'r nef y mae.

⁴⁷the first man out of [the] earth, made of dust; the second man, out of heaven.

⁴⁸ Y mae'r rhai sydd o'r llwch yn debyg i'r dyn o'r llwch, ac y mae'r rhai sydd o'r nef yn debyg i'r dyn o'r nef.

⁴⁸Such as he made of dust, such also those made of dust; and such as the heavenly [one], such also the heavenly [ones].

⁴⁹ Ac fel y bu delw'r dyn o'r llwch arnom, felly hefyd y bydd delw'r dyn o'r nef arnom.

⁴⁹And as we have borne the image of the [one] made of dust, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly [one].

⁵⁰ Hyn yr wyf yn ei olygu, gyfeillion: ni all cig a gwaed etifeddu teyrnas Dduw, ac ni all llygredigaeth etifeddu an-llygredigaeth.

⁵⁰But this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God's kingdom, nor does corruption inherit incorruptibility.

⁵¹ Clywch! Yr wyf yn mynegi dirgelwch ichwi: nid ydym i gyd i huno, ond yr ydym i gyd i gael ein newid, mewn eiliad, ar drawiad amrant, ar ganiad yr utgorn diwethaf.

⁵¹Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed,

⁵² Oherwydd bydd yr utgorn yn seinio, y meirw'n cael eu cyfodi yn anllygredig, a ninnau'n cael ein newid.

⁵²in an instant, in [the] twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and *we* shall be changed.

⁵³ Oherwydd rhaid i'r llygradwy hwn wisgo anllygredigaeth, ac i'r marwol hwn wisgo anfarwoldeb.

⁵³For this corruptible must needs put on incorruptibility, and this mortal put on immortality.

⁵⁴ A phan fydd y llygradwy hwn wedi gwisgo anllygredigaeth, a'r marwol hwn wedi gwisgo anfarwoldeb, yna bydd y geiriau hyn sydd yn ysgrifenedig yn dod yn wir: "Llyncwyd angau mewn buddugoliaeth.

⁵⁴But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruptibility, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word written: Death has been swallowed up in victory.

⁵⁵ O angau, ble mae dy fuddugoliaeth? O angau, ble mae dy golyn?"

⁵⁵Where, O death, [is] thy sting? where, O death, thy victory?

⁵⁶ Colyn angau yw pechod, a grym pechod yw'r Gyfraith.

⁵⁶Now the sting of death [is] sin, and the power of sin the law;

⁵⁷ Ond i Dduw y bo'r diolch, yr hwn sy'n rhoi'r fuddugoliaeth i ni trwy ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist.

⁵⁷but thanks to God, who gives us the victory by our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵⁸ Felly, fy nghyfeillion annwyl, byddwch yn gadarn a diysgog, yn helaeth bob amser yng ngwaith yr Arglwydd, gan eich bod yn gwybod nad yw eich llafur yn yr Arglwydd yn ofer.

⁵⁸So then, my beloved brethren, be firm, immovable, abounding always in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in [the] Lord.
