1 Dechreuodd Solomon adeiladu tu375?'r ARGLWYDD yn Jerwsalem ar Fynydd Moreia, lle'r oedd yr ARGLWYDD wedi ymddangos i'w dad Dafydd. Yr oedd ar lawr dyrnu Ornan y Jebusiad, y lle a baratowyd gan Ddafydd.
1And Solomon began to build the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where he appeared to David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
2 Dechreuodd adeiladu ar yr ail ddydd o'r ail fis ym mhedwaredd flwyddyn ei deyrnasiad.
2And he began to build on the second of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
3 Dyma fesurau'r sylfeini a osododd Solomon wrth adeiladu tu375? Dduw: yr hyd, yn �l yr hen fesur, yn drigain cufydd, a'r lled yn ugain cufydd.
3And this was Solomon's foundation for the construction of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
4 Yr oedd y cyntedd o flaen y tu375? yr un hyd � lled y tu375?, ugain cufydd, a'i uchder yn ugain cufydd; ac fe'i goreurodd oddi mewn ag aur pur.
4And the porch which was in front was twenty cubits in length, in front of the house broadways, and the height was a hundred and twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
5 Byrddiodd y brif gafell � ffynidwydd, a'i thaenu ag aur coeth, gyda cherfiadau o balmwydd a chadwynau arno.
5And the greater house he boarded with cypress-wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set on it palm-trees and chains.
6 Addurnodd y gafell � meini gwerthfawr i'w harddu, gan ddefnyddio aur o Parfaim.
6And he overlaid the house with precious stones for beauty; and the gold was gold of Parvaim.
7 Taenodd drawstiau, rhiniogau, parwydydd a drysau'r gafell ag aur, a cherfio cerwbiaid ar y parwydydd.
7And he covered the house, the beams, the threshold, and its walls, and its doors with gold, and engraved cherubim on the walls.
8 Fe wnaeth gafell y cysegr sanc-teiddiaf yr un hyd � lled y tu375?, ugain cufydd, ac yn ugain cufydd o led, a'i thaenu � chwe chan talent o aur coeth.
8And he made the house of the most holy place, the length of which was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits; and he covered it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.
9 Yr oedd yr hoelion aur yn pwyso hanner can sicl.
9And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he covered the upper chambers with gold.
10 Taenodd y gor-uwchystafelloedd hefyd ag aur. Yng nghafell y cysegr sancteiddiaf fe wnaeth ddau gerwb pren a'u goreuro.
10And in the house of the most holy place he made two cherubim of image work, and they overlaid them with gold.
11 Ugain cufydd oedd hyd adenydd y cerwbiaid; yr oedd aden un ohonynt yn bum cufydd ac yn cyffwrdd pared y gafell, a'r aden arall yn bum cufydd ac yn cyffwrdd aden yr ail gerwb.
11And the wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: one wing of five cubits touched the wall of the house; and the other wing of five cubits touched the wing of the other cherub.
12 Yr oedd aden yr ail gerwb yn bum cufydd ac yn cyffwrdd pared y gafell, a'r aden arall yn bum cufydd ac yn cydio wrth aden y cerwb cyntaf.
12And the wing of the other cherub of five cubits touched the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits joining the wing of the other cherub.
13 Yr oedd adenydd y cerwbiaid hyn yn ymestyn ugain cufydd. Yr oedd y cerwbiaid hyn yn sefyll ar eu traed yn wynebu at i mewn.
13The wings of these cherubim spread forth were twenty cubits; and they stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.
14 Gwnaeth y llen o borffor ac ysgarlad, sidan glas a lliain main, gyda brodwaith o gerwbiaid arni.
14And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and byssus, and made cherubim upon it.
15 O flaen y gafell gosododd ddwy golofn o bymtheg cufydd ar hugain o hyd, a chnap o bum cufydd ar ben pob un.
15And before the house he made two pillars thirty-five cubits long; and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
16 Gwnaeth rwydwaith ar ffurf cadwyn a'i osod ar ben y colofnau, a chant o bomgranadau i'w addurno.
16And he made chains [as] in the oracle, and he put them on the top of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.
17 Gosododd y colofnau o flaen y deml, un ar y dde a'r llall ar y chwith; fe alwodd yr un ar y dde yn Jachin a'r un ar y chwith yn Boas.
17And he set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right hand and the other on the left; and he called the name of that on the right Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
