2 Chronicles

36

1 Dewisodd pobl y wlad Jehoahas fab Joseia, a'i wneud yn frenin yn lle ei dad yn Jerwsalem.
1And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father's stead, in Jerusalem.
2 Tair ar hugain oed oedd Jehoahas pan ddaeth yn frenin, a theyrnasodd am dri mis yn Jerwsalem.
2Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.
3 Ond diorseddodd Necho brenin yr Aifft ef yn Jerwsalem, a gosododd ar y wlad dreth o gan talent o arian a thalent o aur.
3And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and imposed a fine upon the land of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.
4 Hefyd gwnaeth Eliacim ei frawd yn frenin ar Jwda a Jerwsalem, a newid ei enw i Jehoiacim, a chymerodd Jehoahas brawd y brenin i lawr i'r Aifft.
4And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.
5 Pump ar hugain oed oedd Jehoiacim pan ddaeth yn frenin, a theyrnasodd yn Jerwsalem am un mlynedd ar ddeg. Gwnaeth yr hyn oedd ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD ei Dduw.
5Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem; and he did evil in the sight of Jehovah his God.
6 Daeth Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon yn ei erbyn, a'i garcharu mewn gefynnau pres a mynd ag ef i Fabilon.
6Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him with chains of brass to carry him to Babylon.
7 Aeth rhai o lestri tu375?'r ARGLWYDD hefyd i Fabilon a'u gosod yn ei balas yno.
7And Nebuchadnezzar carried [part] of the vessels of the house of Jehovah to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.
8 Am weddill hanes Jehoiacim, y ffieidd-dra a wnaeth a'r cyhuddiadau yn ei erbyn, y maent wedi eu hysgrifennu yn llyfr brenhinoedd Israel a Jwda. Daeth ei fab Jehoiachin yn frenin yn ei le.
8And the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. And Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
9 Deunaw mlwydd oed oedd Jehoiachin pan ddaeth yn frenin, a theyrnasodd am dri mis a deg diwrnod yn Jerwsalem. Gwnaeth yr hyn oedd ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD.
9Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem; and he did evil in the sight of Jehovah.
10 Ar droad y flwyddyn, anfonodd y Brenin Nebuchadnesar i'w gyrchu i Fabilon gyda'r llestri gorau o du375?'r ARGLWYDD, a gwnaeth ei frawd Sedeceia yn frenin ar Jwda a Jerwsalem.
10And at the turn of the year king Nebuchadnezzar sent and had him brought to Babylon, with the precious vessels of the house of Jehovah; and he made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.
11 Un ar hugain oed oedd Sedeceia pan ddaeth yn frenin, a theyrnasodd am un mlynedd ar ddeg yn Jerwsalem.
11Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.
12 Gwnaeth yr hyn oedd ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD ei Dduw. Gwrthododd ymostwng o flaen y proffwyd Jeremeia, a oedd yn llefaru dros yr ARGLWYDD.
12And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah his God; he humbled not himself before the prophet Jeremiah speaking from the mouth of Jehovah.
13 Gwrthryfelodd hefyd yn erbyn y Brenin Nebuchadnesar, a oedd wedi gwneud iddo dyngu i Dduw. Ystyfnigodd a chaledodd ei galon rhag dychwelyd at yr ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel.
13And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him take oath by God; and he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from returning to Jehovah the God of Israel.
14 Aeth swyddogion yr offeiriaid a'r bobl yn fwy anffyddlon fyth, gan ddilyn holl ffieidd-dra'r cenhedloedd a halogi tu375?'r ARGLWYDD a gysegrodd ef yn Jerwsalem.
14All the chiefs of the priests also, and the people, increased their transgressions, according to all the abominations of the nations; and they defiled the house of Jehovah which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.
15 Anfonodd yr ARGLWYDD, Duw eu hynafiaid, atynt yn barhaus trwy law ei negeswyr, am ei fod yn tosturio wrth ei bobl a'i drigfan.
15And Jehovah the God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending; because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling-place.
16 Ond yr oeddent hwy yn gwatwar ei negeswyr, yn gwawdio ei eiriau ac yn dirmygu ei broffwydi, nes y daeth llid yr ARGLWYDD ar ei bobl heb arbed.
16But they mocked at the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until the fury of Jehovah rose against his people, and there was no remedy.
17 Anfonodd frenin y Caldeaid i fyny yn eu herbyn, a lladdodd hwnnw eu gwu375?r ifainc 'r cleddyf yn eu cysegrle, heb arbed na llanc na morwyn, na'r hen na'r oedrannus; rhoddodd bob un ohonynt yn ei afael.
17And he brought up [against] them the king of the Chaldees, and slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and spared not young man nor maiden, old man nor him of hoary head: he gave [them] all into his hand.
18 Dygodd i Fabilon holl lestri tu375? Dduw, bach a mawr, trysorau tu375?'r ARGLWYDD a thrysorau'r brenin a'i swyddogion.
18And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, he brought all to Babylon.
19 Llosgasant du375? Dduw a dinistrio mur Jerwsalem, a llosgi hefyd ei holl balasau thn, a distrywio'i holl lestri godidog.
19And they burned the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burned all the palaces thereof with fire, and all the precious vessels thereof were given up to destruction.
20 Caethgludodd i Fabilon bawb a achubwyd rhag y cleddyf, a buont yn weision iddo ef a'i feibion nes y dechreuodd y Persiaid deyrnasu.
20And them that had escaped from the sword he carried away to Babylon; and they became servants to him and his sons, until the reign of the kingdom of Persia;
21 Mwynhaodd y wlad ei Sabothau; trwy'r holl amser y bu'n anghyfannedd fe orffwysodd, nes cwblhau deng mlynedd a thrigain, a chyflawni gair yr ARGLWYDD trwy Jeremeia'r proffwyd.
21to fulfil the word of Jehovah by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its sabbaths. All the days of its desolation it kept sabbath, to fulfil seventy years.
22 Yn y flwyddyn gyntaf i Cyrus brenin Persia, er mwyn cyflawni gair yr ARGLWYDD trwy Jeremeia, cynhyrfodd yr ARGLWYDD ysbryd Cyrus, a chyhoeddodd yntau ddatganiad trwy ei holl deyrnas, ac ysgrifennu:
22And in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of Jehovah by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, and he made a proclamation throughout his kingdom, and also in writing, saying,
23 "Fel hyn y dywed Cyrus brenin Persia: Y mae'r ARGLWYDD, Duw'r nefoedd, wedi rhoi holl deyrnasoedd y byd i mi, ac wedi gorchymyn i mi adeiladu tu375? iddo yn Jerwsalem yn Jwda. Pob un o'ch plith sy'n perthyn i'w bobl, bydded yr ARGLWYDD ei Dduw gydag ef, ac aed i fyny."
23Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth has Jehovah the God of the heavens given to me, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whosoever there is among you of all his people, Jehovah his God be with him, and let him go up.
