1 Pan glywodd brenhines Sheba am fri Solomon, daeth i Jerwsalem i'w brofi chwestiynau caled. Cyrhaeddodd gyda gosgordd niferus iawn camelod yn cludo peraroglau a str fawr o aur a gemau. Pan ddaeth hi at Solomon, dywedodd wrtho'r cwbl oedd ar ei meddwl,
1And the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, and came to Jerusalem to prove Solomon with enigmas; with a very great train, and camels that bore spices and gold in great abundance, and precious stones; and she came to Solomon, and spoke with him of all that was in her heart.
2 ac atebodd yntau bob un o'i chwestiynau; nid oedd dim yn rhy dywyll i Solomon ei esbonio iddi.
2And Solomon explained to her all she spoke of, and there was not a thing hidden from Solomon that he did not explain to her.
3 A phan welodd brenhines Sheba ddoethineb Solomon, a'r tu375? a adeiladodd,
3And when the queen of Sheba saw the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
4 ac arlwy ei fwrdd, eisteddiad ei swyddogion, gwasanaeth ei weision a'i drulliaid yn eu lifrai, a'i esgynfa i fyny i du375?'r ARGLWYDD, diffygiodd ei hysbryd.
4and the food of his table, and the deportment of his servants, and the order of service of his attendants and their apparel, and his cupbearers and their apparel, and his ascent by which he went up to the house of Jehovah, there was no more spirit in her.
5 Addefodd wrth y brenin, "Gwir oedd yr hyn a glywais yn fy ngwlad amdanat ti a'th ddoethineb.
5And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thine affairs and of thy wisdom;
6 Eto nid oeddwn yn credu'r hanes nes imi ddod a gweld 'm llygaid fy hun ac wele, ni ddywedwyd wrthyf mo'r hanner am dy ddoethineb enfawr; yr wyt yn tra rhagori ar yr hyn a glywais.
6but I gave no credit to their words, until I came and mine eyes had seen; and behold, the half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: thou exceedest the report that I heard.
7 Gwyn fyd dy wu375?r, y gweision hyn sy'n gweini'n feunyddiol arnat ac yn clywed dy ddoethineb.
7Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, who stand continually before thee and hear thy wisdom!
8 Bendith ar yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw, a'th hoffodd di ddigon i'th osod ar ei orseddfainc yn frenin iddo. Am i'th Dduw garu Israel a'i sefydlu am byth, y mae wedi dy wneud di'n frenin arnynt, i weinyddu barn a chyfiawnder."
8Blessed be Jehovah thy God, who delighted in thee, to set thee on his throne, to be king to Jehovah thy God! Because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore did he make thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
9 Yna rhoddodd hi i'r brenin chwe ugain talent o aur a llawer iawn o beraroglau a gemau. Ni fu erioed y fath beraroglau 'r rhai a roddodd brenhines Sheba i'r Brenin Solomon.
9And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in very great abundance, and precious stones; neither was there any such spice as that which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
10 Byddai gweision Hiram a gweision Solomon yn dod ag aur o Offir; byddent hefyd yn cludo llawer iawn o goed almug a gemau.
10(And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, who brought gold from Ophir, brought sandal-wood and precious stones.
11 Gwnaeth y brenin risiau ar gyfer tu375?'r ARGLWYDD a'i du375? ei hun allan o'r coed almug, a hefyd gwnaeth i'r cantorion delynau a nablau na welwyd eu bath o'r blaen yng ngwlad Jwda.
11And the king made of the sandal-wood stairs for the house of Jehovah, and for the king's house, and harps and lutes for the singers. And there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.)
12 Rhoddodd y Brenin Solomon i frenhines Sheba bopeth a chwenychodd, mwy nag a ddug hi iddo ef. Yna troes hi a'i gosgordd yn l i'w gwlad.
12And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, besides what she had brought to the king. And she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.
13 Yr oedd pwysau'r aur a ddi i Solomon mewn blwyddyn yn chwe chant chwe deg a chwech o dalentau,
13And the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold,
14 heblaw yr hyn a gi gan y march-nadwyr a'r masnachwyr; hefyd fe ddi holl frenhinoedd Arabia a rheolwyr y taleithiau ag aur ac arian iddo.
14besides [what] dealers and merchants brought, and [what] all the kings of Arabia and the governors of the country brought of gold and silver to Solomon.
15 Gwnaeth y Brenin Solomon ddau gan tarian o aur gyr, a rhoi chwe chan sicl o aur gyr ym mhob tarian.
15And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold, -- he applied six hundred [shekels] of beaten gold to one target;
16 Gwnaeth hefyd dri chan bwcled o aur gyr, gyda thri mina o aur ym mhob un;
16and three hundred shields of beaten gold, -- he applied three hundred [shekels] of gold to one shield; and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
17 a rhoddodd y brenin hwy yn Nhu375? Coedwig Lebanon. Gwnaeth y brenin orseddfainc fawr o ifori, a'i goreuro ag aur coeth.
17And the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold;
18 Yr oedd i'r orseddfainc chwe gris a throedle aur; yr oedd dwy fraich o boptu i'r sedd a dau lew yn sefyll wrth y breichiau.
18and the throne had six steps, with a footstool of gold fastened to the throne; and there were arms on each side at the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the arms;
19 Yr oedd hefyd ddeuddeg llew yn sefyll, un bob pen i bob un o'r chwe gris. Ni wnaed ei thebyg mewn unrhyw deyrnas.
19and twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.
20 Yr oedd holl lestri gwledda'r Brenin Solomon o aur, a holl offer Tu375? Coedwig Lebanon yn aur pur. Nid oedd yr un ohonynt o arian, am nad oedd bri arno yn nyddiau Solomon.
20And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of precious gold: silver was not of the least account in the days of Solomon.
21 Yr oedd gweision Hiram yn mynd llongau'r brenin i Tarsis, ac unwaith bob tair blynedd fe ddi llongau Tarsis 'u llwyth o aur, arian ac ifori, ac epaod a pheunod.
21For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: once in three years came the ships of Tarshish, bringing gold and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
22 Rhagorodd y Brenin Solomon ar holl frenhinoedd y ddaear mewn cyfoeth a doethineb.
22And king Solomon was greater than all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
23 Ac yr oedd holl frenhinoedd y ddaear yn ymweld Solomon i glywed y ddoethineb a roes Duw yn ei galon.
23And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
24 Bob blwyddyn di rhai 'u rhoddion llestri aur ac arian, gwisgoedd, myrr, perlysiau, meirch a mulod.
24And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver and vessels of gold, and clothing, armour, and spices, horses and mules, a rate year by year.
25 Yr oedd gan Solomon bedair mil o gorau ar gyfer meirch a cherbydau, a deuddeng mil o feirch, a gedwid yn y dinasoedd cerbyd a chydag ef yn Jerwsalem.
25And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; and he placed them in the chariot-cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
26 Ac yr oedd yn teyrnasu ar yr holl frenhinoedd o'r Ewffrates hyd at wlad y Philistiaid ar derfyn yr Aifft.
26And he ruled over all the kings from the river as far as the land of the Philistines, and up to the border of Egypt.
27 Parodd y brenin i arian fod mor aml yn Jerwsalem cherrig, a chedrwydd mor gyffredin sycamorwydd y Seffela.
27And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he as the sycamores that are in the lowland for abundance.
28 A di ceffylau i Solomon o'r Aifft ac o'r holl wledydd.
28And they brought to Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
29 Am weddill hanes Solomon, o'r dechrau i'r diwedd, onid yw ar gael yn llyfr Nathan y proffwyd, ac ym mhroffwydoliaeth Aheia o Seilo, ac yng ngweledigaethau Ido y gweledydd yn erbyn Jeroboam fab Nebat?
29And the rest of the acts of Solomon first and last, are they not written in the words of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
30 Teyrnasodd Solomon yn Jerwsalem dros Israel gyfan am ddeugain mlynedd.
30And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
31 Pan fu farw, a'i gladdu yn ninas ei dad Dafydd, daeth ei fab Rehoboam yn frenin yn ei le.
31And Solomon slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David his father; and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
