¹ Yn ei ddyddiau ef daeth Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon yn ei erbyn, a bu Jehoiacim yn ddarostyngedig iddo am dair blynedd cyn gwrthryfela.

¹In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim was his servant three years; then he turned and rebelled against him.

² Anfonodd yr ARGLWYDD finteioedd o Galdeaid ac o Syriaid a Moabiaid ac Ammoniaid i ymosod ar Jwda a'i difa, yn �l yr hyn yr oedd yr ARGLWYDD wedi ei ddweud trwy ei weision y proffwydi.

²And Jehovah sent against him the bands of the Chaldeans, and the bands of the Syrians, and the bands of the Moabites, and the bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spoke through his servants the prophets.

³ Yn sicr, trwy orchymyn yr ARGLWYDD y digwyddodd hyn i Jwda, i'w symud o'i olwg am yr holl bechodau a wnaeth Manasse,

³Verily, at the commandment of Jehovah it came to pass against Judah, that they should be removed out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done;

⁴ a'r gwaed dieuog a dywalltodd; llanwodd Jerwsalem � gwaed dieuog, ac nid oedd yr ARGLWYDD yn fodlon maddau.

⁴and also [because of] the innocent blood that he had shed; for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and Jehovah would not pardon.

⁵ Am weddill hanes Jehoiacim, a'r cwbl a wnaeth, onid yw wedi ei ysgrifennu yn llyfr hanesion brenhinoedd Jwda?

⁵And the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

⁶ Bu farw Jehoiacim, a daeth ei fab Jehoiachin yn frenin yn ei le.

⁶And Jehoiakim slept with his fathers, and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

⁷ Ni ddaeth brenin yr Aifft allan o'i wlad mwyach, oherwydd yr oedd brenin Babilon wedi cipio'r cwbl a fu'n eiddo brenin yr Aifft rhwng nant yr Aifft ac afon Ewffrates.

⁷And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land, for the king of Babylon had taken all that belonged to the king of Egypt, from the torrent of Egypt to the river Euphrates.

⁸ Deunaw mlwydd oed oedd Jehoiachin pan ddaeth yn frenin, a theyrnasodd am dri mis yn Jerwsalem. Nehusta merch Elnathan o Jerwsalem oedd enw ei fam.

⁸Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Nehushta, daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.

⁹ Gwnaeth yr hyn oedd ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD, yn union fel y gwnaeth ei ragflaenwyr.

⁹And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his father had done.

¹⁰ Yr adeg honno daeth gweision Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon i Jerwsalem a gosod gwarchae ar y ddinas.

¹⁰At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.

¹¹ Yna, tra oedd ei weision yn gwarchae arni, daeth Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon i ymosod ar y ddinas,

¹¹And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, while his servants were besieging it.

¹² ac aeth Jehoiachin brenin Jwda allan gyda'i fam a'i weision a'i swyddogion a'i weinyddwyr at frenin Babilon. Cymerodd brenin Babilon ef yn garcharor yn yr wythfed flwyddyn o'i deyrnasiad,

¹²And Jehoiachin king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his chamberlains; and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.

¹³ a chludodd holl drysorau tu375?'r ARGLWYDD a thu375?'r brenin oddi yno, a dryllio'r holl gelfi aur a wnaeth Solomon brenin Israel yn nheml yr ARGLWYDD, fel y rhagddywedodd yr ARGLWYDD.

¹³And he brought out thence all the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold that Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of Jehovah, as Jehovah had said.

¹⁴ Caethgludodd ddeng mil o Jerwsalem, yr holl dywysogion a'r gwu375?r cefnog, a phob crefftwr a gof hefyd, heb adael neb ond y tlotaf o bobl y wlad.

¹⁴And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained but the poorest sort of the people of the land.

¹⁵ Aeth � Jehoiachin i Fabilon, a hefyd dwyn yn gaeth o Jerwsalem i Fabilon ei fam a'i wragedd a'i weinyddwyr a phendefigion y wlad.

¹⁵And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his chamberlains, and the mighty of the land, he led into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon;

¹⁶ Dygodd brenin Babilon yn gaeth i Fabilon saith mil o wu375?r cefnog a mil o grefftwyr a gofaint, y cwbl yn wu375?r glew yn medru rhyfela.

¹⁶and all the men of valour, seven thousand, and the craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all strong men apt for war, and the king of Babylon brought them captive to Babylon.

¹⁷ Gwnaeth brenin Babilon Mataneia ewythr Jehoiachin yn frenin yn ei le, a newid ei enw i Sedeceia.

¹⁷And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his uncle king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

¹⁸ Un ar hugain oed oedd Sedeceia pan ddaeth yn frenin, a theyrnasodd am un mlynedd ar ddeg yn Jerwsalem. Hamutal merch Jeremeia o Libna oedd enw ei fam.

¹⁸Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

¹⁹ A gwnaeth yr hyn oedd ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD, yn union fel y gwnaeth Jehoiacim.

¹⁹And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

²⁰ Oherwydd digofaint yr ARGLWYDD cafodd Jerwsalem a Jwda eu bwrw allan o'i u373?ydd. Gwrthryfelodd Sedeceia yn erbyn brenin Babilon,

²⁰For, because the anger of Jehovah was against Jerusalem and against Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
