1 Yn y drydedd flwyddyn o deyrnasiad y Brenin Belsassar cefais i, Daniel, weledigaeth arall at yr un gyntaf a gefais.
1In the third year of the reign of Belshazzar the king, a vision appeared unto me, [even] to me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.
2 Yr oeddwn yn y palas yn Susan yn nhalaith Elam, a gwelais yn y weledigaeth fy mod wrth yr afon Ulai.
2And I saw in the vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was in the fortress of Shushan, which is in the province of Elam. And I saw in the vision, and I was by the river Ulai.
3 Edrychais i fyny a gwelais hwrdd yn sefyll ar lan yr afon. Yr oedd ganddo ddau gorn hir, gyda'r hiraf o'r ddau yn tyfu ar l y llall.
3And I lifted up mine eyes and saw, and behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns; and the two horns were high; and one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
4 Gwelwn yr hwrdd yn cornio tua'r gorllewin, y gogledd a'r de, ac ni allai'r un anifail ei wrthsefyll na neb achub o'i afael. Yr oedd yn gwneud fel y mynnai, ac yn cyflawni gorchestion.
4I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward, and no beast could stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; and he did according to his will, and became great.
5 Fel yr oeddwn yn ystyried hyn gwelais fwch gafr a chanddo gorn enfawr rhwng ei lygaid; yr oedd yn dod o'r gorllewin ar draws yr holl wlad heb gyffwrdd 'r ddaear.
5And as I was considering, behold, a he-goat came from the west over the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
6 Daeth at yr hwrdd deugorn a welais yn sefyll ar lan yr afon, a rhuthro arno 'i holl nerth.
6And he came to the ram that had the two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran upon him in the fury of his power.
7 Gwelais ef yn nesu'n ffyrnig at yr hwrdd, yn ei daro ac yn torri ei ddau gorn, ac am nad oedd yr hwrdd yn ddigon cryf i'w wrthsefyll, bwriodd ef i'r llawr a'i fathru; ac nid oedd neb i achub yr hwrdd o'i afael.
7And I saw him come close to the ram, and he was enraged with him, and smote the ram, and broke his two horns; and there was no power in the ram to stand before him; and he cast him down to the ground, and trampled upon him; and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.
8 Yna ymorchestodd y bwch gafr yn fwy byth, ond yn ei anterth torrwyd y corn mawr, a chododd pedwar corn amlwg yn ei le, yn wynebu tua phedwar gwynt y nefoedd.
8And the he-goat became exceeding great; but when he was become strong, the great horn was broken; and in its stead came up four notable ones toward the four winds of the heavens.
9 Ac allan o un ohonynt daeth corn bychan a dyfodd yn gryf tua'r de a'r dwyrain a'r wlad hyfryd.
9And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which became exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the beauty [of the earth].
10 Dyrchafodd hwn at lu'r nef, a thaflu rhai o'r llu ac o'r sr i'r llawr a'u mathru.
10And it became great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down [some] of the host and of the stars to the ground, and trampled upon them.
11 Ym-chwyddodd yn erbyn tywysog y llu, a diddymu'r offrwm dyddiol a difetha'i gysegr.
11(And he magnified [himself] even to the prince of the host, and from him the continual [sacrifice] was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
12 Mewn pechod gosodwyd llu yn erbyn yr offrwm dyddiol, a thaflu gwirionedd i'r llawr. Felly y llwyddodd yn y cwbl a wnaeth.
12And a time of trial was appointed unto the continual [sacrifice] by reason of transgression.) And it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised and prospered.
13 Clywais un o'r rhai sanctaidd yn siarad, ac un arall yn dweud wrth yr un a siaradai, "Am ba hyd y pery'r weledigaeth o'r offrwm dyddiol, a'r pechod anrheithiol, a sarnu'r cysegr a'r llu?"
13And I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that one who spoke, How long shall be the vision of the continual [sacrifice] and of the transgression that maketh desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden down under foot?
14 Dywedodd wrtho, "Am ddwy fil tri chant o ddyddiau, hwyr a bore; yna fe adferir y cysegr."
14And he said unto me, Until two thousand and three hundred evenings [and] mornings: then shall the sanctuary be vindicated.
15 Ac fel yr oeddwn i, Daniel, yn edrych ar y weledigaeth ac yn ceisio'i deall, gwelwn un tebyg i fod dynol yn sefyll o'm blaen,
15And it came to pass, when I Daniel had seen the vision, I sought for the understanding of it, and behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
16 a chlywais lais dynol yn galw dros afon Ulai ac yn dweud, "Gabriel, esbonia'r weledigaeth."
16And I heard a man's voice between [the banks of] the Ulai; and he called and said, Gabriel, make this [man] to understand the vision.
17 Yna daeth Gabriel at y man lle'r oeddwn yn sefyll, a phan ddaeth, crynais mewn ofn a syrthio ar fy wyneb. Dywedodd wrthyf, "Deall, fab dyn, mai ag amser y diwedd y mae a wnelo'r weledigaeth."
17And he came near where I stood; and when he came, I was afraid, and fell on my face; and he said unto me, Understand, son of man; for the vision is for the time of the end.
18 Wrth iddo siarad mi, syrthiais ar fy hyd ar lawr mewn llewyg, ond cyffyrddodd ef mi a'm gosod ar fy nhraed,
18Now, as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep stupor, with my face toward the ground. And he touched me, and set me up where I had stood.
19 a dweud, "Yn wir rhof wybod iti beth a ddigwydd pan ddaw'r llid i ben, oherwydd y mae i'r diwedd ei amser penodedig.
19And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be at the end of the indignation: for at the set time the end shall be.
20 Brenhinoedd Media a Persia yw'r hwrdd deugorn a welaist.
20The ram that thou sawest having the two horns: they are the kings of Media and Persia.
21 Brenin Groeg yw'r bwch blewog, a'r corn mawr rhwng ei lygaid yw'r brenin cyntaf.
21And the rough goat is the king of Greece; and the great horn that was between his eyes is the first king.
22 A'r un a dorrwyd, a phedwar yn codi yn ei le, dyma bedair brenhiniaeth yn codi o'r un genedl, ond heb feddu'r un nerth ag ef.
22Now that being broken, whereas four stood up in its stead, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not with his power.
23 Ac ar ddiwedd eu teyrnasiad, pan fydd y troseddwyr yn eu hanterth, fe gyfyd brenin creulon a chyfrwys.
23And at the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors shall have come to the full, a king of bold countenance, and understanding riddles, shall stand up.
24 Bydd ei nerth yn fawr, ac fe wna niwed anhygoel; fe lwydda yn yr hyn a wna, ac fe ddinistria'r cedyrn a phobl y saint.
24And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; and he shall destroy marvellously, and shall prosper, and shall practise, and shall destroy the mighty ones, and the people of the saints.
25 Yn ei gyfrwystra fe wna i ddichell ffynnu; cynllunia orchestion yn ei galon, a heb rybudd fe ddinistria lawer. Heria dywysog y tywysogion, ond fe'i torrir i lawr heb gymorth llaw.
25And through his cunning shall he cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he will magnify [himself] in his heart, and by prosperity will corrupt many; and he will stand up against the Prince of princes: but he shall be broken without hand.
26 Y mae'r weledigaeth a roddwyd am yr hwyr a'r bore yn wir; ond cadw di'r weledigaeth dan sl, am ei bod yn cyfeirio at y dyfodol pell."
26And the vision of the evening and the morning which hath been told is true; but close thou up the vision, for it is for many days [to come].
27 Yr oeddwn i, Daniel, wedi diffygio, a bm yn glaf am ddyddiau. Yna codais i wasanaethu'r brenin, wedi fy syfrdanu gan y weledigaeth a heb ei deall.
27And I Daniel fainted, and was sick [certain] days: then I rose up, and did the king's business. And I was astonished at the vision, but none understood [it].
