Darby's Translation

Ezekiel

14

1 Daeth rhai o henuriaid Israel ataf ac eistedd i lawr o'm blaen.
1And there came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.
2 A daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,
2And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
3 "Fab dyn, y mae'r dynion hyn wedi codi eu heilunod yn eu calonnau ac wedi gosod eu tramgwydd pechadurus o'u blaenau. A adawaf iddynt ymofyn mi o gwbl?
3Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumbling-block of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them?
4 Felly, llefara wrthynt a dywed, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Pan fydd unrhyw un o du375? Israel sydd wedi codi ei eilunod yn ei galon ac wedi gosod ei dramgwydd pechadurus o'i flaen yn dod at broffwyd, byddaf fi, yr ARGLWYDD, yn ei ateb fy hunan, yn l ei holl eilunod.
4Therefore speak to them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet, I Jehovah will answer him according to this, according to the multitude of his idols:
5 Gwnaf hyn er mwyn cydio yng nghalonnau tu375? Israel, gan eu bod i gyd wedi ymddieithrio oddi wrthyf trwy eu heilunod.'
5that I may take the house of Israel by their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.
6 Felly dywed wrth du375? Israel, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Edifarhewch, a throwch oddi wrth eich eilunod ac oddi wrth eich holl ffieidd-dra.
6Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Return ye, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.
7 Pan fydd unrhyw un o du375? Israel, neu unrhyw estron sy'n byw yn Israel, yn ymddieithrio oddi wrthyf, yn codi ei eilunod yn ei galon, ac yn gosod ei dramgwydd pechadurus o'i flaen, ac yna'n dod at broffwyd i ymofyn mi, byddaf fi, yr ARGLWYDD, yn ei ateb fy hunan.
7For every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet to inquire of me by him, I Jehovah will answer him by myself;
8 Byddaf yn gosod fy wyneb yn erbyn hwnnw, ac yn ei wneud yn esiampl ac yn ddihareb, ac yn ei dorri ymaith o blith fy mhobl; yna byddwch yn gwybod mai myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD.
8and I will set my face against that man, and will make him desolate, [so that he shall be] for a sign and for proverbs, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people: and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.
9 Os twyllir y proffwyd i lefaru neges, myfi, yr ARGLWYDD, a dwyllodd y proffwyd hwnnw, a byddaf yn estyn fy llaw yn ei erbyn ac yn ei ddinistrio o blith fy mhobl Israel.
9And if the prophet be enticed and shall speak a word, I Jehovah have enticed that prophet; and I will stretch out my hand against him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
10 Byddant yn dwyn eu cosb yr un fydd cosb y proffwyd chosb y sawl sy'n ymofyn ag ef
10And they shall bear their iniquity: the iniquity of the prophet shall be even as the iniquity of the inquirer;
11 rhag i du375? Israel byth eto fynd ar gyfeiliorn oddi wrthyf na'u halogi eu hunain rhagor 'u holl ddrygioni; ond byddant yn bobl i mi, a minnau'n Dduw iddynt hwy, medd yr Arglwydd DDUW.'"
11that the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither make themselves any more unclean with all their transgressions; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, saith the Lord Jehovah.
12 Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,
12And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
13 "Fab dyn, os bydd gwlad yn pechu yn f'erbyn trwy fod yn anffyddlon, a minnau'n estyn fy llaw yn ei herbyn, yn torri ei chynhaliaeth o fara, yn anfon newyn arni, ac yn torri ymaith ohoni ddyn ac anifail;
13Son of man, when a land sinneth against me by working unfaithfulness, and I stretch out my hand upon it, and break the staff of the bread thereof, and send famine upon it, and cut off man and beast from it;
14 hyd yn oed pe byddai Noa, Daniel a Job, y tri ohonynt, yn ei chanol, ni fyddent yn arbed ond eu bywydau eu hunain trwy eu cyfiawnder," medd yr Arglwydd DDUW.
14though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, should be in it, they should deliver [but] their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.
15 "Neu pe bawn yn anfon bwystfilod gwylltion i'r wlad, a hwythau'n ei diboblogi, a'i gwneud yn ddiffeithwch, heb neb yn mynd trwyddi o achos y bwystfilod,
15If I cause evil beasts to pass through the land, and they bereave it, and it become a desolation, so that no one passeth through because of the beasts;
16 cyn wired 'm bod yn fyw," medd yr Arglwydd DDUW, "pe byddai'r tri dyn hyn ynddi, ni fyddent yn arbed eu meibion na'u merched; hwy eu hunain yn unig a arbedid, ond byddai'r wlad yn ddiffeithwch.
16-- though these three men should be in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters: they only should be delivered, and the land should be a desolation.
17 Neu, pe bawn yn dwyn cleddyf ar y wlad honno ac yn dweud, 'Aed cleddyf trwy'r wlad', a phe bawn yn torri ymaith ohoni ddyn ac anifail,
17Or [if] I bring the sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land, so that I cut off man and beast from it,
18 cyn wired 'm bod yn fyw," medd yr Arglwydd DDUW, "pe byddai'r tri dyn hyn ynddi, ni fyddent yn arbed eu meibion na'u merched; hwy eu hunain yn unig a arbedid.
18and these three men should be in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only themselves should be delivered.
19 Neu, pe bawn yn anfon pla i'r wlad honno, ac yn tywallt fy nig arni trwy dywallt gwaed, ac yn torri ymaith ohoni ddyn ac anifail,
19Or [if] I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast,
20 cyn wired 'm bod yn fyw," medd yr Arglwydd DDUW, "pe byddai Noa, Daniel a Job ynddi, ni fyddent yn arbed na mab na merch. Eu bywydau eu hunain yn unig a arbedent trwy eu cyfiawnder.
20and Noah, Daniel, and Job should be in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither son nor daughter: they should [but] deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
21 "Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Pa faint gwaeth y bydd pan anfonaf ar Jerwsalem fy mhedair cosb erchyll, sef cleddyf, newyn, bwystfilod gwylltion a phla, i dorri ymaith ohoni ddyn ac anifail.
21For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the evil beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast!
22 Eto, fe arbedir gweddill ynddi, sef meibion a merched a ddygir allan; dnt allan atat, a phan weli eu hymddygiad a'u gweithredoedd, fe'th gysurir am y drwg a ddygais ar Jerwsalem; yn wir, am bob drwg a ddygais arni.
22But behold, there shall be left in it those that escape, who shall be brought out of [it], sons and daughters. Behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings; and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, as to all that I have brought upon it.
23 Fe'th gysurir pan weli eu hymddygiad a'u gweithredoedd, oherwydd byddi'n gwybod nad heb achos y gwneuthum y cyfan ynddi, medd yr Arglwydd DDUW."
23And they shall comfort you, when ye see their way and their doings; and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord Jehovah.
