¹ Yn ail flwyddyn y Brenin Dareius, yn y seithfed mis, ar yr unfed dydd ar hugain o'r mis, daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD trwy'r proffwyd Haggai:

¹In the seventh [month], on the one and twentieth [day] of the month, came the word of Jehovah by the prophet Haggai, saying,

² "Dywed wrth Sorobabel fab Salathiel, llywodraethwr Jwda, ac wrth Josua fab Josedec, yr archoffeiriad, ac wrth weddill y bobl,

²Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying,

³ 'A adawyd un yn eich plith a welodd y tu375? hwn yn ei ogoniant cyntaf? Sut yr ydych chwi yn ei weld yn awr? Onid megis dim yn eich golwg?

³Who is left among you that saw this house in its former glory? and how do ye see it now? Is it not as nothing in your eyes?

⁴ Yn awr, ymgryfha, Sorobabel,'" medd yr ARGLWYDD, "'ac ymgryfha, Josua fab Josedec, yr archoffeiriad, ac ymgryfhewch, holl bobl y tir,'" medd yr ARGLWYDD. "'Gweithiwch, oherwydd yr wyf fi gyda chwi,'" medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd,

⁴But now be strong, Zerubbabel, saith Jehovah; and be strong, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith Jehovah, and work: for I am with you, saith Jehovah of hosts.

⁵ "'yn unol �'r addewid a wneuthum i chwi pan ddaethoch allan o'r Aifft. Y mae fy ysbryd yn aros yn eich plith; peidiwch ag ofni.'"

⁵The word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, and my Spirit, remain among you: fear ye not.

⁶ Oherwydd fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: "Unwaith eto, ymhen ychydig, yr wyf am ysgwyd y nefoedd a'r ddaear, y m�r a'r sychdir,

⁶For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry [land];

⁷ ac ysgydwaf hefyd yr holl genhedloedd; daw trysor yr holl genhedloedd i mewn, a llanwaf y tu375? hwn � gogoniant," medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd.

⁷and I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come; and I will fill this house with glory, saith Jehovah of hosts.

⁸ "Eiddof fi yr arian a'r aur," medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd.

⁸The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith Jehovah of hosts.

⁹ "Bydd gogoniant y tu375? diwethaf hwn yn fwy na'r cyntaf," medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd; "ac yn y lle hwn rhof heddwch," medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd.

⁹The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, saith Jehovah of hosts; and in this place will I give peace, saith Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁰ Ar y pedwerydd dydd ar hugain o'r nawfed mis yn ail flwyddyn Dareius, daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD at y proffwyd Haggai.

¹⁰On the four and twentieth [day] of the ninth [month], in the second year of Darius, came the word of Jehovah by Haggai the prophet, saying,

¹¹ Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: "Gofynnwch fel hyn i'r offeiriaid am gyfarwyddyd:

¹¹Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Ask now the priests [concerning] the law, saying,

¹² 'Os dwg un ym mhlyg ei wisg gig wedi ei gysegru, a gadael i'r wisg gyffwrdd � bara, neu gawl, neu win, neu olew, neu unrhyw fwyd, a fyddant yn gysegredig?'" Atebodd yr offeiriaid, "Na fyddant."

¹²If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any food -- shall it become holy? And the priests answered and said, No.

¹³ Yna dywedodd Haggai, "Os bydd rhywun sy'n halogedig oherwydd cysylltiad � chorff marw yn cyffwrdd �'r rhain, a fyddant yn halogedig?" Atebodd yr offeiriaid, "Byddant."

¹³And Haggai said, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, is it become unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.

¹⁴ Yna dywedodd Haggai, "'Felly y mae'r bobl hyn, a'r genedl hon ger fy mron,' medd yr ARGLWYDD, 'a hefyd holl waith eu dwylo; y mae pob offrwm a ddygant yma yn halogedig.'"

¹⁴Then answered Haggai and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith Jehovah, and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

¹⁵ "Yn awr, ystyriwch sut y bu hyd at y dydd hwn. Cyn rhoi carreg ar garreg yn nheml yr ARGLWYDD, sut y bu?

¹⁵And now, I pray you, consider from this day and onward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of Jehovah,

¹⁶ D�i un at bentwr ugain mesur, a chael deg; d�i at winwryf i dynnu hanner can mesur, a chael ugain.

¹⁶-- before those [days] were, when one came to a heap of twenty [measures], there were but ten; when one came to the vat to draw out fifty press-measures, there were but twenty.

¹⁷ Trewais chwi, a holl lafur eich dwylo, � malltod, llwydni a chenllysg, ac eto ni throesoch ataf," medd yr ARGLWYDD.

¹⁷I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the work of your hands; and ye [turned] not to me, saith Jehovah.

¹⁸ "Yn awr ystyriwch sut y bydd o'r dydd hwn ymlaen, o'r pedwerydd dydd ar hugain o'r nawfed mis, dydd gosod sylfaen teml yr ARGLWYDD; ystyriwch.

¹⁸Consider, I pray you, from this day and onward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth [month], from the day that the foundation of Jehovah's temple was laid, consider [it].

¹⁹ A fydd had eto yn yr ysgubor? A fydd y winwydden, y ffigysbren, y pomgranadwydden a'r olewydden eto heb roi dim? o'r dydd hwn ymlaen fe'ch bendithiaf."

¹⁹Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, the vine, and the fig-tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive-tree have not brought forth: from this day will I bless [you].

²⁰ Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD at Haggai eilwaith ar bedwerydd dydd ar hugain y mis:

²⁰And the word of Jehovah came the second time unto Haggai on the four and twentieth [day] of the month, saying,

²¹ "Dywed wrth Sorobabel, llywodraethwr Jwda, 'Yr wyf fi am ysgwyd y nefoedd a'r ddaear;

²¹Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;

²² dymchwelaf orsedd brenhinoedd, dinistriaf gryfder teyrnasoedd y cenhedloedd, a dymchwelaf gerbydau a marchogion; bydd ceffylau a'u marchogion yn syrthio, pob un trwy gleddyf ei gyfaill.

²²and I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride therein; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.

²³ Yn y dydd hwnnw,'" medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, "'fe'th gymeraf di Sorobabel fab Salathiel, fy ngwas,'" medd yr ARGLWYDD, "'ac fe'th wisgaf fel s�l-fodrwy, oherwydd tydi a ddewisais,'" medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd.

²³In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, will I take thee, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, my servant, saith Jehovah, and will make thee as a signet; for I have chosen thee, saith Jehovah of hosts.
