Darby's Translation

Hosea

14

1 Dychwel, Israel at yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw, canys syrthiaist oherwydd dy ddrygioni.
1O Israel, return unto Jehovah thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
2 Cymerwch eiriau gyda chwi, a dychwelwch at yr ARGLWYDD; dywedwch wrtho, "Maddau'r holl ddrygioni, derbyn ddaioni, a rhown i ti ffrwyth ein gwefusau.
2Take with you words, and turn to Jehovah; say unto him, Forgive all iniquity, and receive [us] graciously; so will we render the calves of our lips.
3 Ni all Asyria ein hachub, ac ni farchogwn ar geffylau; ac wrth waith ein dwylo ni ddywedwn eto, 'Ein Duw'. Ynot ti y caiff yr amddifad drugaredd."
3Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, [Thou art] our God; because in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.
4 "Iachf eu hanffyddlondeb; fe'u caraf o'm bodd, oherwydd trodd fy llid oddi wrthynt.
4I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for mine anger is turned away from him.
5 Byddaf fel gwlith i Israel; blodeua fel lili a lleda'i wraidd fel pren poplys.
5I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.
6 Lleda'i flagur, a bydd ei brydferthwch fel yr olewydden, a'i arogl fel Lebanon.
6His shoots shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, and his smell as Lebanon.
7 Dychwelant a thrigo yn fy nghysgod; cynhyrchant u375?d, ffrwythant fel y winwydden, bydd eu harogl fel gwin Lebanon.
7They shall return and sit under his shadow; they shall revive [as] corn, and blossom as the vine: the renown thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.
8 "Beth sydd a wnelo Effraim mwy ag eilunod? Myfi sydd yn ei ateb ac yn ei arwain yn gywir. Yr wyf fi fel cypreswydden ddeiliog; oddi wrthyf y daw dy ffrwyth."
8Ephraim [shall say], What have I to do any more with idols? (I answer [him], and I will observe him.) I am like a green fir-tree. -- From me is thy fruit found.
9 Pwy bynnag sydd ddoeth, dealled hyn; pwy bynnag sydd ddeallgar, gwybydded. Oherwydd y mae ffyrdd yr ARGLWYDD yn gywir; rhodia'r cyfiawn ynddynt, ond meglir y drygionus ynddynt.
9Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? intelligent, and he shall know them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them; but the transgressors shall fall therein.
