1 Gwrandewch arnaf, chwi ynysoedd, rhowch sylw, chwi bobl o bell. Galwodd yr ARGLWYDD fi o'r groth; o fru fy mam fe'm henwodd.
1Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye peoples from afar. Jehovah hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
2 Gwnaeth fy ngenau fel cleddyf llym, a'm cadw yng nghysgod ei law; gwnaeth fi yn saeth loyw, a'm cuddio yng nghawell ei saethau.
2And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword, he hath concealed me under the shadow of his hand, and he hath made me a polished shaft: in his quiver hath he hidden me.
3 Dywedodd wrthyf, "Fy ngwas wyt ti; ynot ti, Israel, y caf ogoniant."
3And he said unto me, Thou art my servant, Israel, in whom I will glorify myself.
4 Dywedais innau, "Llafuriais yn ofer, a threuliais fy nerth i ddim; er hynny y mae fy achos gyda'r ARGLWYDD a'm gwobr gyda'm Duw."
4-- And I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought and in vain; nevertheless my judgment is with Jehovah, and my work with my God.
5 Ac yn awr, llefarodd yr ARGLWYDD, a'm lluniodd o'r groth yn was iddo, i adfer Jacob iddo a chasglu Israel ato, i'm gogoneddu yng ngu373?ydd yr ARGLWYDD, am fod fy Nuw yn gadernid i mi.
5And now, saith Jehovah, that formed me from the womb to be his servant, that I should bring Jacob again to him; (though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorified in the eyes of Jehovah, and my God shall be my strength;)
6 Dywedodd, "Peth bychan yw i ti fod yn was i mi, i godi llwythau Jacob ar eu traed, ac adfer rhai cadwedig Israel; fe'th wnaf di yn oleuni i'r cenhedloedd, i'm hiachawdwriaeth gyrraedd hyd eithaf y ddaear."
6-- and he saith, It is a small thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel; I have even given thee for a light of the nations, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
7 Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD, Gwaredydd Israel, a'i Sanct, wrth yr un a ddirmygir ac a ffieiddir gan bobloedd, wrth gaethwas y trahaus: "Bydd brenhinoedd yn sefyll pan welant, a'r tywysogion yn ymgrymu, o achos yr ARGLWYDD, sy'n ffyddlon, a Sanct Israel, a'th ddewisodd di."
7Thus saith Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to the servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise, princes, and they shall worship, because of Jehovah who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.
8 Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: "Atebaf di yn adeg ffafr, a'th gynorthwyo ar ddydd iachawdwriaeth; cadwaf di, a'th osod yn gyfamod i'r bobl; adferaf y tir a rhannu'r tiroedd anrhaith yn etifeddiaeth;
8Thus saith Jehovah: In a time of acceptance have I answered thee, and in the day of salvation have I helped thee; and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the land, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
9 a dywedaf wrth y carcharorion, 'Ewch allan', ac wrth y rhai mewn tywyllwch, 'Dewch i'r golau'. Cnt bori ar fin y ffyrdd a chael porfa ar y moelydd.
9saying to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pasture shall be on all bare hills.
10 Ni newynant ac ni sychedant, ni fydd gwres na haul yn eu taro, oherwydd un sy'n tosturio wrthynt sy'n eu harwain, ac yn eu tywys at ffynhonnau o ddu373?r.
10They shall not hunger nor thirst, neither shall the heat nor sun smite them; for he that hath mercy on them will lead them, and by the springs of water will he guide them.
11 Gwnaf bob mynydd yn ffordd, a llenwi o dan fy llwybrau.
11And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be raised up.
12 Y mae rhai yn dod o bell, a rhai o'r gogledd a'r gorllewin, ac eraill o wlad Sinim."
12Behold, these shall come from afar; and behold, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.
13 Cn, nefoedd; gorfoledda, ddaear; bloeddiwch ganu, fynyddoedd. Canys y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn cysuro ei bobl, ac yn tosturio wrth ei drueiniaid.
13Shout, ye heavens; and be joyful, thou earth; and break forth into singing, ye mountains: for Jehovah hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted ones.
14 Dywedodd Seion, "Gwrthododd yr ARGLWYDD fi, ac anghofiodd fy Arglwydd fi."
14But Zion said, Jehovah hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me.
15 "A anghofia gwraig ei phlentyn sugno, neu fam blentyn ei chroth? Fe allant hwy anghofio, ond nid anghofiaf fi di.
15Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Even these forget, but I will not forget thee.
16 Edrych, 'rwyf wedi dy gerfio ar gledr fy nwylo; y mae dy furiau bob amser o flaen fy llygaid;
16Lo, I have graven thee upon the palms of [my] hands; thy walls are continually before me.
17 y mae dy adeiladwyr yn gyflymach na'r rhai sy'n dy ddinistrio, ac y mae dy anrheithwyr wedi mynd ymaith.
17Thy sons shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that laid thee waste shall go forth from thee.
18 Edrych o'th amgylch, a gwl; y mae pawb yn ymgasglu ac yn dod atat. Cyn wired 'm bod yn fyw," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "byddi'n eu gwisgo i gyd fel addurn, ac yn eu rhwymo amdanat fel y gwna priodferch.
18Lift up thine eyes round about and behold: they all gather themselves together, they come to thee. As I live, saith Jehovah, thou shalt indeed clothe thee with them all as with an ornament, and bind them on as a bride doth.
19 Bydd dy ddiffeithwch a'th anialwch a'th dir anrhaith yn rhy gyfyng bellach i'th breswylwyr, gan fod dy ddifodwyr ymhell i ffwrdd.
19For [in] thy waste and thy desolate places, and thy destroyed land, thou shalt even now be too straitened by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.
20 Bydd y plant a anwyd yn nydd dy alar yn dweud eto'n hyglyw, 'Nid oes digon o le i mi; symud draw, i mi gael lle i fyw.'
20The children of thy bereavement shall yet say in thine ears, The place is too narrow for me: make room for me, that I may dwell.
21 "Yna y dywedi ynot dy hun, 'Pwy a genhedlodd y rhain i mi, a minnau'n weddw ac yn ddi-blant? Yr oeddwn i mewn caethglud ac yn ddigartref; pwy a'u magodd hwy? Yn wir, 'roeddwn i wedi fy ngadael ar fy mhen fy hun; o ble, ynteu, y daeth y rhain?'"
21And thou shalt say in thy heart, Who hath borne me these, seeing I had lost my children and was desolate, an exile, and driven about? and who hath brought up these? behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?
22 Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: "Rhof arwydd 'm llaw i'r cenhedloedd, a chodaf fy maner i'r bobloedd, a dygant dy feibion yn eu mynwes, a chludo dy ferched ar eu hysgwydd.
22Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and set up my banner to the peoples; and they shall bring thy sons in [their] bosom, and thy daughters shall be carried upon the shoulder.
23 Bydd brenhinoedd yn dadau maeth iti, a'u tywysogesau yn famau maeth iti; plygant i'r llawr o'th flaen a llyfu llwch dy draed; yna y cei wybod mai myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD, ac na siomir neb sy'n disgwyl wrthyf."
23And kings shall be thy nursing-fathers, and their princesses thy nursing-mothers: they shall bow down to thee with the face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet. And thou shalt know that I [am] Jehovah; for they shall not be ashamed who wait on me.
24 A ddygir ysbail oddi ar y cadarn? A ryddheir carcharor o law'r gormeswr?
24Shall the prey be taken from the mighty? and shall he that is rightfully captive be delivered?
25 Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: "Fe ddygir carcharor o law'r cadarn, ac fe ryddheir ysbail o law'r gormeswr; myfi fydd yn dadlau 'th gyhuddwr, ac yn gwaredu dy blant.
25For thus saith Jehovah: Even the captive of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; and I will strive with him that striveth with thee, and I will save thy children.
26 Gwnaf i'th orthrymwyr fwyta'u cnawd eu hunain, a meddwaf hwy 'u gwaed eu hunain fel gwin; yna caiff pawb wybod mai myfi, yr ARGLWYDD, yw dy Waredydd, ac mai Un Cadarn Jacob yw dy Achubydd."
26And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with new wine. And all flesh shall know that I, Jehovah, [am] thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
