1 O na fuaset wedi rhwygo'r nefoedd, a dod i lawr, a'r mynyddoedd yn toddi o'th flaen,
1Oh, that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, -- that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,
2 fel t�n yn llosgi prysgwydd, fel du373?r yn berwi ar d�n, er mwyn i'th enw ddod yn hysbys i'th gaseion, ac i'r cenhedloedd grynu yn dy u373?ydd!
2-- as fire kindleth brushwood, as the fire causeth water to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations might tremble at thy presence!
3 Pan wnaethost bethau ofnadwy heb i ni eu disgwyl, daethost i lawr, a thoddodd y mynyddoedd o'th flaen.
3When thou didst terrible things [which] we looked not for, thou camest down, and the mountains flowed down at thy presence.
4 Ni chlywodd neb erioed, ni ddaliodd clust, ni chanfu llygad unrhyw Dduw ond tydi, a wn�i ddim dros y rhai sy'n disgwyl wrtho.
4Never have [men] heard, nor perceived by the ear, nor hath eye seen a God beside thee, who acteth for him that waiteth for him.
5 'Rwyt yn cyfarfod �'r rhai sy'n hoffi gwneud cyfiawnder, y rhai sy'n cofio am dy ffyrdd. Er dy fod yn digio pan oeddem ni'n pechu, eto 'roeddem yn dal i droseddu yn dy erbyn.
5Thou meetest him that rejoiceth to do righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: (behold, thou wast wroth, and we have sinned:) in those is perpetuity, and we shall be saved.
6 Aethom i gyd fel peth aflan, a'n holl gyfiawnderau fel clytiau budron; yr ydym i gyd wedi crino fel deilen, a'n camweddau yn ein chwythu i ffwrdd fel y gwynt.
6And we are all become as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have carried us away;
7 Ac nid oes neb yn galw ar dy enw, nac yn trafferthu i afael ynot; cuddiaist dy wyneb oddi wrthym, a'n traddodi i afael ein camweddau.
7and there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee; for thou hast hidden thy face from us, and hast caused us to melt away through our iniquities.
8 Ond tydi, O ARGLWYDD, yw ein tad; ni yw'r clai a thi yw'r crochenydd; gwaith dy ddwylo ydym i gyd.
8And now, Jehovah, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
9 Paid � digio'n llwyr, ARGLWYDD, na chofio camwedd am byth. Edrych, yn awr, dy bobl ydym ni i gyd.
9Be not wroth very sore, O Jehovah, neither remember iniquity for ever. Behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
10 Aeth dy ddinasoedd sanctaidd yn anialwch; y mae Seion yn anialwch a Jerwsalem yn anghyfannedd.
10Thy holy cities are become a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
11 Y mae ein tu375? sanctaidd a hardd, lle y byddai'n hynafiaid yn dy foliannu, wedi mynd yn lludw, a phob peth annwyl gennym yn anrhaith.
11Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burnt up with fire, and all our precious things are laid waste.
12 A ymateli di, ARGLWYDD, oherwydd y pethau hyn? A dewi di, a'n cystuddio'n llwyr?
12Wilt thou restrain thyself in presence of these things, Jehovah? Wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?
