Darby's Translation

Jeremiah

28

1 Yn yr un flwyddyn, yn nechrau teyrnasiad Sedeceia brenin Jwda, sef y bedwaredd flwyddyn a'r pumed mis, llefarodd Hananeia fab Assur, y proffwyd o Gibeon, wrthyf yn nhu375?'r ARGLWYDD, yng ngu373?ydd yr offeiriaid a'r holl bobl, gan ddweud,
1And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, [that] Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in the house of Jehovah, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,
2 "Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, Duw Israel: 'Torraf iau brenin Babilon.
2Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.
3 O fewn dwy flynedd adferaf i'r lle hwn holl lestri tu375?'r ARGLWYDD, a gymerodd Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon o'r lle hwn a'u dwyn i Fabilon.
3Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of Jehovah's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried to Babylon;
4 Adferaf hefyd i'r lle hwn Jechoneia fab Jehoiacim, brenin Jwda, a holl gaethglud Jwda a aeth i Fabilon,' medd yr ARGLWYDD, 'canys torraf iau brenin Babilon.'"
4and I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah that went to Babylon, saith Jehovah: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.
5 Yna llefarodd y proffwyd Jeremeia wrth Hananeia y proffwyd, yng ngu373?ydd yr offeiriaid a'r holl bobl a safai yn nhu375?'r ARGLWYDD,
5And the prophet Jeremiah spoke unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of Jehovah.
6 gan ddweud, "Amen, gwnaed yr ARGLWYDD felly; cadarnhaed yr ARGLWYDD y geiriau a broffwydaist, ac adfer o Fabilon i'r lle hwn lestri tu375?'r ARGLWYDD, a'r holl gaethglud.
6And the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen, may Jehovah do so! may Jehovah perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again from Babylon, into this place, the vessels of Jehovah's house, and all them of the captivity!
7 Ond gwrando yn awr ar y gair hwn a lefaraf yn dy glyw, ac yng nghlyw'r holl bobl:
7Nevertheless, hear, I pray thee, this word which I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people:
8 bu'r proffwydi a fu o'm blaen i ac o'th flaen di, o'r amser gynt, yn proffwydo rhyfeloedd a newyn a haint yn erbyn gwledydd lawer a theyrnasoedd mawrion.
8The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old, prophesied also concerning many countries and concerning great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.
9 Am y sawl sy'n proffwydo heddwch, gwyddys am y proffwyd hwnnw, mai'r ARGLWYDD yn wir a'i hanfonodd, os daw ei air i ben."
9The prophet that prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, shall be known as the prophet whom Jehovah hath really sent.
10 Yna cymerodd Hananeia y barrau oddi ar war y proffwyd Jeremeia, a'u torri.
10And the prophet Hananiah took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and broke it.
11 Dywedodd Hananeia yng ngu373?ydd yr holl bobl, "Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: 'Felly, o fewn dwy flynedd, torraf iau Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon oddi ar war yr holl genhedloedd.'" Yna aeth y proffwyd Jeremeia ymaith.
11And Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: So will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.
12 Wedi i Hananeia y proffwyd dorri'r iau oddi ar war y proffwyd Jeremeia, daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD at Jeremeia,
12And the word of Jehovah came unto Jeremiah, after that the prophet Hananiah had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,
13 "Dos, a dywed wrth Hananeia, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: Fe dorraist farrau pren; mi wnaf yn eu lle farrau haearn.
13Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Thou hast broken the yokes of wood, and thou hast made in their place yokes of iron.
14 Oherwydd fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, Duw Israel: Rhof iau haearn ar war yr holl genhedloedd hyn, i wasanaethu Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon, ac fe'i gwasanaethant; a rhof iddo hyd yn oed yr anifeiliaid gwyllt.'"
14For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.
15 Dywedodd y proffwyd Jeremeia wrth Hananeia y proffwyd, "Clyw yn awr, Hananeia! Nid anfonodd yr ARGLWYDD di; ond peraist i'r bobl hyn ymddiried mewn celwydd.
15And the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah, Hear now, Hananiah: Jehovah hath not sent thee; and thou makest this people to trust in falsehood.
16 Am hynny, fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: 'Yr wyf yn dy yrru di oddi ar wyneb y ddaear; o fewn blwyddyn byddi farw, oherwydd dysgaist wrthryfel yn erbyn yr ARGLWYDD.'"
16Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, for thou hast spoken revolt against Jehovah.
17 Bu farw Hananeia y proffwyd y flwyddyn honno, yn y seithfed mis.
17And the prophet Hananiah died in the same year in the seventh month.
