¹ Yn y cyfamser yr oedd y dyrfa wedi ymgynnull yn ei miloedd, nes eu bod yn sathru ei gilydd dan draed. Dechreuodd ef ddweud wrth ei ddisgyblion yn gyntaf, "Gochelwch rhag surdoes y Phariseaid, hynny yw, eu rhagrith.

¹In those [times], the myriads of the crowd being gathered together, so that they trod one on another, he began to say to his disciples first, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy;

² Nid oes dim wedi ei guddio nas datguddir, na dim yn guddiedig na cheir ei wybod.

²but there is nothing covered up which shall not be revealed, nor secret that shall not be known;

³ Am hyn, popeth y buoch yn ei ddweud yn y tywyllwch, fe'i clywir yng ngolau dydd; a'r hyn y buoch yn ei sibrwd yn y glust mewn ystafelloedd o'r neilltu, fe'i cyhoeddir ar bennau'r tai.

³therefore whatever ye have said in the darkness shall be heard in the light, and what ye have spoken in the ear in chambers shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

⁴ "Rwy'n dweud wrthych chwi fy nghyfeillion, peidiwch ag ofni'r rhai sy'n lladd y corff, ac sydd wedi hynny heb allu i wneud dim pellach.

⁴But I say to you, my friends, Fear not those who kill the body and after this have no more that they can do.

⁵ Ond dangosaf i chwi pwy i'w ofni: ofnwch yr hwn sydd ag awdurdod ganddo i fwrw i uffern wedi'r lladd; ie, rwy'n dweud wrthych, ofnwch hwnnw.

⁵But I will shew you whom ye shall fear: Fear him who after he has killed has authority to cast into hell; yea, I say to you, Fear *him*.

⁶ Oni werthir pump aderyn y to am ddwy geiniog? Eto nid yw un ohonynt yn angof gan Dduw.

⁶Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria? and one of them is not forgotten before God.

⁷ Yn wir, y mae hyd yn oed pob blewyn o wallt eich pen wedi ei rifo. Peidiwch ag ofni; yr ydych yn werth mwy na llawer o adar y to.

⁷But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore, ye are better than many sparrows.

⁸ "Rwy'n dweud wrthych, pwy bynnag a'm harddel i gerbron eraill, bydd Mab y Dyn hefyd yn eu harddel hwy gerbron angylion Duw;

⁸But I say to you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, the Son of man will confess him also before the angels of God;

⁹ ond y sawl sydd yn fy ngwadu i gerbron eraill, fe'i gwedir ef gerbron angylion Duw.

⁹but he that shall have denied me before men shall be denied before the angels of God;

¹⁰ Caiff pwy bynnag a ddywed air yn erbyn Mab y Dyn, faddeuant; ond ni faddeuir i'r sawl sy'n cablu yn erbyn yr Ysbryd Gl�n.

¹⁰and whoever shall say a word against the Son of man it shall be forgiven him; but to him that speaks injuriously against the Holy Spirit it shall not be forgiven.

¹¹ Pan ddygant chwi gerbron y synagogau a'r ynadon a'r awdurdodau, peidiwch � phryderu am ddull nac am gynnwys eich amddiffyniad, nac am eich ymadrodd;

¹¹But when they bring you before the synagogues and rulers and the authorities, be not careful how or what ye shall answer, or what ye shall say;

¹² oherwydd bydd yr Ysbryd Gl�n yn eich dysgu chwi ar y pryd beth fydd yn rhaid ei ddweud."

¹²for the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the hour itself what should be said.

¹³ Meddai rhywun o'r dyrfa wrtho, "Athro, dywed wrth fy mrawd am roi i mi fy nghyfran o'n hetifeddiaeth."

¹³And a person said to him out of the crowd, Teacher, speak to my brother to divide the inheritance with me.

¹⁴ Ond meddai ef wrtho, "Ddyn, pwy a'm penododd i yn farnwr neu yn gymrodeddwr rhyngoch?"

¹⁴But he said to him, Man, who established me [as] a judge or a divider over you?

¹⁵ A dywedodd wrthynt, "Gofalwch ymgadw rhag trachwant o bob math, oherwydd, er cymaint ei gyfoeth, nid yw bywyd neb yn dibynnu ar ei feddiannau."

¹⁵And he said to them, Take heed and keep yourselves from all covetousness, for [it is] not because a man is in abundance [that] his life is in his possessions.

¹⁶ Ac adroddodd ddameg wrthynt: "Yr oedd tir rhyw u373?r cyfoethog wedi dwyn cnwd da.

¹⁶And he spoke a parable to them, saying, The land of a certain rich man brought forth abundantly.

¹⁷ A dechreuodd feddwl a dweud wrtho'i hun, 'Beth a wnaf fi, oherwydd nid oes gennyf unman i gasglu fy nghnydau iddo?'

¹⁷And he reasoned within himself saying, What shall I do? for I have not [a place] where I shall lay up my fruits.

¹⁸ Ac meddai, 'Dyma beth a wnaf fi: tynnaf f'ysguboriau i lawr ac adeiladu rhai mwy, a chasglaf yno fy holl u375?d a'm heiddo.

¹⁸And he said, This will I do: I will take away my granaries and build greater, and there I will lay up all my produce and my good things;

¹⁹ Yna dywedaf wrthyf fy hun, "Ddyn, y mae gennyt st�r o lawer o bethau ar gyfer blynyddoedd lawer; gorffwys, bwyta, yf, bydd lawen."'

¹⁹and I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much good things laid by for many years; repose thyself, eat, drink, be merry.

²⁰ Ond meddai Duw wrtho, 'Yr ynfytyn, heno y mynnir dy einioes yn �l gennyt, a phwy gaiff y pethau a baratoaist?'

²⁰But God said to him, Fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee; and whose shall be what thou hast prepared?

²¹ Felly y bydd hi ar y rhai sy'n casglu trysor iddynt eu hunain a heb fod yn gyfoethog gerbron Duw."

²¹Thus is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

²² Meddai wrth ei ddisgyblion, "Am hynny rwy'n dweud wrthych, peidiwch � phryderu am eich bywyd nac am eich corff, beth i'w fwyta na beth i'w wisgo.

²²And he said to his disciples, For this cause I say unto you, Be not careful for life, what ye shall eat, nor for the body, what ye shall put on.

²³ Oherwydd y mae mwy i fywyd rhywun na bwyd, a mwy i'w gorff na dillad.

²³The life is more than food, and the body than raiment.

²⁴ Ystyriwch y brain: nid ydynt yn hau nac yn medi, nid oes ganddynt ystordy nac ysgubor, ac eto y mae Duw yn eu bwydo. Gymaint mwy gwerthfawr ydych chwi na'r adar!

²⁴Consider the ravens, that they sow not nor reap; which have neither storehouse nor granary; and God feeds them. How much better are *ye* than the birds?

²⁵ A phrun ohonoch a all ychwanegu munud at ei oes trwy bryderu?

²⁵But which of you by being careful can add to his stature one cubit?

²⁶ Felly os yw hyd yn oed y peth lleiaf y tu hwnt i'ch gallu, pam yr ydych yn pryderu am y gweddill?

²⁶If therefore ye cannot [do] even what is least, why are ye careful about the rest?

²⁷ Ystyriwch y lili, pa fodd y maent yn tyfu: nid ydynt yn llafurio nac yn nyddu; ond rwy'n dweud wrthych, nid oedd gan hyd yn oed Solomon yn ei holl ogoniant wisg i'w chymharu ag un o'r rhain.

²⁷Consider the lilies how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I say unto you, Not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed as one of these.

²⁸ Os yw Duw yn dilladu felly y glaswellt, sydd heddiw yn y meysydd ac yfory yn cael ei daflu i'r ffwrn, gymaint mwy y dillada chwi, chwi o ychydig ffydd!

²⁸But if God thus clothe the grass, which to-day is in the field and to-morrow is cast into [the] oven, how much rather you, O ye of little faith?

²⁹ A chwithau, peidiwch � rhoi eich bryd ar beth i'w fwyta a beth i'w yfed, a pheidiwch � byw mewn pryder;

²⁹And *ye*, seek not what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink, and be not in anxiety;

³⁰ oherwydd dyna'r holl bethau y mae cenhedloedd y byd yn eu ceisio, ond y mae gennych chwi Dad sy'n gwybod fod arnoch eu hangen.

³⁰for all these things do the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that ye have need of these things;

³¹ Ceisiwch yn hytrach ei deyrnas ef, a rhoir y pethau hyn yn ychwaneg i chwi.

³¹but seek his kingdom, and [all] these things shall be added to you.

³² Peidiwch ag ofni, fy mhraidd bychan, oherwydd gwelodd eich Tad yn dda roi i chwi'r deyrnas.

³²Fear not, little flock, for it has been the good pleasure of your Father to give you the kingdom.

³³ Gwerthwch eich eiddo a rhowch ef yn elusen; gwnewch i chwi eich hunain byrsau nad ydynt yn treulio, trysor dihysbydd yn y nefoedd, lle nad yw lleidr yn dod ar y cyfyl, na gwyfyn yn difa.

³³Sell what ye possess and give alms; make to yourselves purses which do not grow old, a treasure which does not fail in the heavens, where thief does not draw near nor moth destroy.

³⁴ Oherwydd lle mae eich trysor, yno hefyd y bydd eich calon.

³⁴For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.

³⁵ "Bydded eich gwisg wedi ei thorchi a'ch canhwyllau ynghynn.

³⁵Let your loins be girded about, and lamps burning;

³⁶ Byddwch chwithau fel rhai yn disgwyl dychweliad eu meistr o briodas, i agor iddo cyn gynted ag y daw a churo.

³⁶and *ye* like men who wait their own lord whenever he may leave the wedding, that when he comes and knocks, they may open to him immediately.

³⁷ Gwyn eu byd y gweision hynny a geir ar ddihun gan eu meistr pan ddaw; yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych y bydd ef yn torchi ei wisg, ac yn eu gosod wrth y bwrdd, ac yn dod ac yn gweini arnynt.

³⁷Blessed are those bondmen whom the lord [on] coming shall find watching; verily I say unto you, that he will gird himself and make them recline at table, and coming up will serve them.

³⁸ Ac os daw ef ar hanner nos neu yn yr oriau m�n, a'u cael felly, gwyn eu byd.

³⁸And if he come in the second watch, and come in the third watch, and find [them] thus, blessed are those [bondmen].

³⁹ A gwybyddwch hyn: pe buasai meistr y tu375? yn gwybod pa bryd y byddai'r lleidr yn dod, ni fuasai wedi gadael iddo dorri i mewn i'w du375?.

³⁹But this know, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be dug through.

⁴⁰ Chwithau hefyd, byddwch barod, oherwydd pryd na thybiwch y daw Mab y Dyn."

⁴⁰And ye therefore, be *ye* ready, for in the hour in which ye do not think [it], the Son of man comes.

⁴¹ Meddai Pedr, "Arglwydd, ai i ni yr wyt yn adrodd y ddameg hon, ai i bawb yn ogystal?"

⁴¹And Peter said to him, Lord, sayest thou this parable to us, or also to all?

⁴² Dywedodd yr Arglwydd, "Pwy ynteu yw'r goruchwyliwr ffyddlon a chall a osodir gan ei feistr dros ei weision, i roi eu dogn bwyd iddynt yn ei bryd?

⁴²And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and prudent steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give the measure of corn in season?

⁴³ Gwyn ei fyd y gwas hwnnw a geir yn gwneud felly gan ei feistr pan ddaw;

⁴³Blessed is that bondman whom his lord [on] coming shall find doing thus;

⁴⁴ yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych y gesyd ef dros ei holl eiddo.

⁴⁴verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he has.

⁴⁵ Ond os dywed y gwas hwnnw yn ei galon, 'Y mae fy meistr yn oedi dod', a dechrau curo'r gweision a'r morynion, a bwyta ac yfed a meddwi,

⁴⁵But if that bondman should say in his heart, My lord delays to come, and begin to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and to drink and to be drunken,

⁴⁶ yna bydd meistr y gwas hwnnw yn cyrraedd ar ddiwrnod annisgwyl iddo ef ac ar awr nas gu373?yr; ac fe'i cosba yn llym, a gosod ei le gyda'r anffyddloniaid.

⁴⁶the lord of that bondman shall come in a day when he does not expect it, and in an hour he knows not of, and shall cut him in two and appoint his portion with the unbelievers.

⁴⁷ Bydd y gwas hwnnw sy'n gwybod ewyllys ei feistr, ac eto heb ddarparu na gwneud dim yn �l ei ewyllys, yn cael curfa dost;

⁴⁷But that bondman who knew his own lord's will, and had not prepared [himself] nor done his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes];

⁴⁸ ond bydd y gwas nad yw'n gwybod, ond sydd wedi haeddu curfa, yn cael un ysgafn. Disgwylir llawer gan y sawl a dderbyniodd lawer; a gofynnir llawer mwy yn �l gan yr un y mae llawer wedi ei ymddiried iddo.

⁴⁸but he who knew [it] not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few. And to every one to whom much has been given, much shall be required from him; and to whom [men] have committed much, they will ask from him the more.

⁴⁹ "Yr wyf fi wedi dod i fwrw t�n ar y ddaear, ac O na fyddai eisoes wedi ei gynnau!

⁴⁹I have come to cast a fire on the earth; and what will I if already it has been kindled?

⁵⁰ Y mae bedydd y mae'n rhaid fy medyddio ag ef, a chymaint yw fy nghyfyngder hyd nes y cyflawnir ef!

⁵⁰But I have a baptism to be baptised with, and how am I straitened until it shall have been accomplished!

⁵¹ A ydych chwi'n tybio mai i roi heddwch i'r ddaear yr wyf fi wedi dod? Nage, meddaf wrthych, ond ymraniad.

⁵¹Think ye that I have come to give peace in the earth? Nay, I say to you, but rather division:

⁵² Oherwydd o hyn allan bydd un teulu o bump wedi ymrannu, tri yn erbyn dau a dau yn erbyn tri:

⁵²for from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided; three shall be divided against two, and two against three:

⁵³ 'Ymranna'r tad yn erbyn y mab a'r mab yn erbyn y tad, y fam yn erbyn ei merch a'r ferch yn erbyn ei mam, y fam-yng-nghyfraith yn erbyn y ferch-yng-nghyfraith a'r ferch-yng-nghyfraith yn erbyn ei mam-yng-nghyfraith.'"

⁵³father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against mother; a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

⁵⁴ Dywedodd wrth y tyrfaoedd hefyd, "Pan welwch gwmwl yn codi yn y gorllewin, yr ydych yn dweud ar unwaith, 'Daw yn law', ac felly y bydd;

⁵⁴And he said also to the crowds, When ye see a cloud rising out of the west, straightway ye say, A shower is coming; and so it happens.

⁵⁵ a phan welwch wynt y de yn chwythu, yr ydych yn dweud, 'Daw yn wres', a hynny fydd.

⁵⁵And when [ye see] the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it happens.

⁵⁶ Chwi ragrithwyr, medrwch ddehongli'r olwg ar y ddaear a'r ffurfafen, ond sut na fedrwch ddehongli'r amser hwn?

⁵⁶Hypocrites, ye know how to judge of the appearance of the earth and of the heaven; how [is it then that] ye do not discern this time?

⁵⁷ "A pham nad ydych ohonoch eich hunain yn barnu beth sydd yn iawn?

⁵⁷And why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

⁵⁸ Pan wyt yn mynd gyda'th wrth-wynebwr at yr ynad, gwna dy orau ar y ffordd yno i gymodi ag ef, rhag iddo dy lusgo gerbron y barnwr, ac i'r barnwr dy draddodi i'r cwnstabl, ac i'r cwnstabl dy fwrw i garchar.

⁵⁸For as thou goest with thine adverse party before a magistrate, strive in the way to be reconciled with him, lest he drag thee away to the judge, and the judge shall deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.

⁵⁹ Rwy'n dweud wrthyt, ni ddoi di byth allan oddi yno cyn talu'n �l y geiniog olaf un."

⁵⁹I say unto thee, Thou shalt in no wise come out thence until thou hast paid the very last mite.
