Psalms

14

1 1 I'r Cyfarwyddwr: i Ddafydd.0 Dywed yr ynfyd yn ei galon, "Nid oes Duw." Gwnnt weithredoedd llygredig a ffiaidd; nid oes un a wna ddaioni.
1{To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David.} The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They have corrupted themselves, they have done abominable works: there is none that doeth good.
2 Edrychodd yr ARGLWYDD o'r nefoedd ar ddynolryw, i weld a oes rhywun yn gwneud yn ddoeth ac yn ceisio Duw.
2Jehovah looked down from the heavens upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
3 Ond y mae pawb ar gyfeiliorn, ac mor llygredig 'i gilydd; nid oes un a wna ddaioni, nac oes, dim un.
3They have all gone aside, they are together become corrupt: there is none that doeth good, not even one.
4 Oni ddarostyngir y gwneuthurwyr drygioni sy'n llyncu fy mhobl fel llyncu bwyd, ac sydd heb alw ar yr ARGLWYDD?
4Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, eating up my people [as] they eat bread? They call not upon Jehovah.
5 Yno y byddant mewn dychryn mawr, am fod Duw yng nghanol y rhai cyfiawn.
5There were they in great fear; for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 Er i chwi watwar cyngor yr anghenus, yr ARGLWYDD yw ei noddfa.
6Ye have shamed the counsel of the afflicted, because Jehovah [was] his refuge.
7 O na ddi gwaredigaeth i Israel o Seion! Pan adfer yr ARGLWYDD lwyddiant i'w bobl, fe lawenha Jacob, fe orfoledda Israel.
7Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Jehovah turneth again the captivity of his people, Jacob shall be glad, Israel shall rejoice.
