Psalms

42

1 1 I'r Cyfarwyddwr: Mascl. I feibion Cora.0 Fel y dyhea ewig am ddyfroedd rhedegog, felly y dyhea fy enaid amdanat ti, O Dduw.
1{To the chief Musician. An instruction; of the sons of Korah.} As the hart panteth after the water-brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
2 Y mae fy enaid yn sychedu am Dduw, am y Duw byw; pa bryd y dof ac ymddangos ger ei fron?
2My soul thirsteth for God, for the living ùGod: when shall I come and appear before God?
3 Bu fy nagrau'n fwyd imi ddydd a nos, pan ofynnent imi drwy'r dydd, "Ple mae dy Dduw?"
3My tears have been my bread day and night, while they say unto me all the day, Where is thy God?
4 Tywalltaf fy enaid mewn gofid wrth gofio hyn fel yr awn gyda thyrfa'r mawrion i du375? Dduw yng nghanol banllefau a moliant, torf yn cadw gu373?yl.
4These things I remember and have poured out my soul within me: how I passed along with the multitude, how I went on with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, a festive multitude.
5 Mor ddarostyngedig wyt, fy enaid, ac mor gythryblus o'm mewn! Disgwyliaf wrth Dduw; oherwydd eto moliannaf ef, fy Ngwaredydd a'm Duw.
5Why art thou cast down, my soul, and art disquieted in me? hope in God; for I shall yet praise him, [for] the health of his countenance.
6 Y mae fy enaid yn ddarostyngedig ynof; am hynny, meddyliaf amdanat ti o dir yr Iorddonen a Hermon ac o Fynydd Misar.
6My God, my soul is cast down within me; therefore do I remember thee from the land of the Jordan, and the Hermons, from mount Mizar.
7 Geilw dyfnder ar ddyfnder yn su373?n dy raeadrau; y mae dy fr a'th donnau wedi llifo trosof.
7Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy cataracts; all thy breakers and thy billows are gone over me.
8 Liw dydd y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn gorchymyn ei ffyddlondeb, a liw nos y mae ei gn gyda mi, gweddi ar Dduw fy mywyd.
8In the day-time will Jehovah command his loving-kindness, and in the night his song shall be with me, a prayer unto the ùGod of my life.
9 Dywedaf wrth Dduw, fy nghraig, "Pam yr anghofiaist fi? Pam y rhodiaf mewn galar, wedi fy ngorthrymu gan y gelyn?"
9I will say unto ùGod my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
10 Fel pe'n dryllio fy esgyrn, y mae fy ngelynion yn fy ngwawdio, ac yn dweud wrthyf trwy'r dydd, "Ple mae dy Dduw?"
10As with a crushing in my bones mine adversaries reproach me, while they say unto me all the day, Where is thy God?
11 Mor ddarostyngedig wyt, fy enaid, ac mor gythryblus o'm mewn! Disgwyliaf wrth Dduw; oherwydd eto moliannaf ef, fy Ngwaredydd a'm Duw.
11Why art thou cast down, my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God; for I shall yet praise him, [who is] the health of my countenance, and my God.
