Revelation

1

1 Dyma'r datguddiad a roddwyd gan Iesu Grist. Fe'i rhoddwyd iddo ef gan Dduw, er mwyn iddo ddangos i'w weision y pethau y mae'n rhaid iddynt ddigwydd ar fyrder. Fe'i gwnaeth yn hysbys trwy anfon ei angel at ei was Ioan.
1Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to shew to his bondmen what must shortly take place; and he signified [it], sending by his angel, to his bondman John,
2 Tystiodd yntau i air Duw ac i dystiolaeth Iesu Grist, trwy adrodd y cwbl a welodd.
2who testified the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ, all things that he saw.
3 Gwyn ei fyd y sawl sy'n darllen a'r rhai sy'n gwrando geiriau'r broffwydoliaeth hon ac yn cadw'r hyn sy'n ysgrifenedig ynddi. Oherwydd y mae'r amser yn agos.
3Blessed [is] he that reads, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things written in it; for the time [is] near.
4 Ioan at y saith eglwys yn Asia: gras a thangnefedd i chwi oddi wrth yr hwn sydd a'r hwn oedd a'r hwn sydd i ddod, ac oddi wrth y saith ysbryd sydd gerbron ei orsedd,
4John to the seven assemblies which [are] in Asia: Grace to you and peace from [him] who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits which [are] before his throne;
5 ac oddi wrth Iesu Grist, y tyst ffyddlon, y cyntafanedig oddi wrth y meirw a llywodraethwr brenhinoedd y ddaear. I'r hwn sydd yn ein caru ni ac a'n rhyddhaodd ni oddi wrth ein pechodau 'i waed,
5and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and has washed us from our sins in his blood,
6 ac a'n gwnaeth yn urdd frenhinol, yn offeiriaid i Dduw ei Dad, iddo ef y bo'r gogoniant a'r gallu byth bythoedd! Amen.
6and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father: to him [be] the glory and the might to the ages of ages. Amen.
7 Wele, y mae'n dyfod gyda'r cymylau, a bydd pob llygad yn ei weld, ie, a'r rhai a'i trywanodd, a bydd holl lwythau'r ddaear yn galaru o'i blegid ef. Boed felly! Amen.
7Behold, he comes with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they which have pierced him, and all the tribes of the land shall wail because of him. Yea. Amen.
8 "Myfi yw Alffa ac Omega," medd yr Arglwydd Dduw, yr hwn sydd a'r hwn oedd a'r hwn sydd i ddod, yr Hollalluog.
8I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith [the] Lord God, he who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.
9 Yr oeddwn i, Ioan, eich brawd, sy'n cyfranogi gyda chwi o'r gorthrymder a'r frenhiniaeth a'r dyfalbarhad sydd i ni yn Iesu, ar yr ynys a elwir Patmos, ar gyfrif gair Duw a thystiolaeth Iesu.
9I John, your brother and fellow-partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and patience, in Jesus, was in the island called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus.
10 Yr oeddwn yn yr Ysbryd ar ddydd yr Arglwydd, a chlywais y tu l imi lais uchel, fel su373?n utgorn,
10I became in [the] Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet,
11 yn dweud, "Ysgrifenna mewn llyfr yr hyn a weli, ac anfon ef at y saith eglwys, i Effesus, i Smyrna, i Pergamus, i Thyatira, i Sardis, i Philadelffia, ac i Laodicea."
11saying, What thou seest write in a book, and send to the seven assemblies: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
12 Yna trois i weld pa lais oedd yn llefaru wrthyf; ac wedi troi, gwelais saith ganhwyllbren aur,
12And I turned back to see the voice which spoke with me; and having turned, I saw seven golden lamps,
13 ac yng nghanol y canwyllbrennau un fel mab dyn, a'i wisg yn cyrraedd hyd ei draed, a gwregys aur am ei ddwyfron.
13and in the midst of the [seven] lamps [one] like [the] Son of man, clothed with a garment reaching to the feet, and girt about at the breasts with a golden girdle:
14 Yr oedd gwallt ei ben yn wyn fel gwln, cyn wynned 'r eira, a'i lygaid fel fflam dn.
14his head and hair white like white wool, as snow; and his eyes as a flame of fire;
15 Yr oedd ei draed fel pres gloyw, fel petai wedi ei buro mewn ffwrnais, a'i lais fel su373?n llawer o ddyfroedd.
15and his feet like fine brass, as burning in a furnace; and his voice as the voice of many waters;
16 Yn ei law dde yr oedd ganddo saith seren, ac o'i enau yr oedd cleddyf llym daufiniog yn dod allan, ac yr oedd ei wyneb yn disgleirio fel yr haul yn ei anterth.
16and having in his right hand seven stars; and out of his mouth a sharp two-edged sword going forth; and his countenance as the sun shines in its power.
17 Pan welais ef, syrthiais wrth ei draed fel un marw; gosododd yntau ei law dde arnaf, a dywedodd, "Paid ag ofni; myfi yw'r cyntaf a'r olaf,
17And when I saw him I fell at his feet as dead; and he laid his right hand upon me, saying, Fear not; *I* am the first and the last,
18 a'r Un byw; bm farw, ac wele, yr wyf yn fyw byth bythoedd, ac y mae gennyf allweddau Marwolaeth a Hades.
18and the living one: and I became dead, and behold, I am living to the ages of ages, and have the keys of death and of hades.
19 Ysgrifenna, felly, y pethau a welaist, y pethau sydd, a'r pethau sydd i fod ar l hyn.
19Write therefore what thou hast seen, and the things that are, and the things that are about to be after these.
20 Dyma ystyr dirgel y saith seren a welaist ar fy llaw dde a'r saith ganhwyllbren aur: angylion y saith eglwys yw'r saith seren, a'r saith eglwys yw'r saith ganhwyllbren.
20The mystery of the seven stars which thou hast seen on my right hand, and the seven golden lamps. -- The seven stars are angels of the seven assemblies; and the seven lamps are seven assemblies.
