Revelation

9

1 Seiniodd y pumed angel ei utgorn. Yna gwelais seren wedi syrthio o'r nef i'r ddaear, a rhoddwyd iddi allwedd i bwll y dyfnder.
1And the fifth angel sounded [his] trumpet: and I saw a star out of the heaven fallen to the earth; and there was given to it the key of the pit of the abyss.
2 Agorodd bwll y dyfnder, a chododd mwg o'r pwll fel mwg ffwrnais fawr, a thywyllwyd yr haul a'r awyr gan fwg y pwll.
2And it opened the pit of the abyss; and there went up smoke out of the pit as [the] smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke of the pit.
3 o'r mwg daeth locustiaid allan ar y ddaear, a rhoddwyd iddynt allu tebyg i'r gallu sydd gan ysgorpionau'r ddaear.
3And out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them as the scorpions of the earth have power;
4 Dywedwyd wrthynt am beidio niweidio na phorfa'r ddaear na'r un planhigyn na choeden, ond yn unig y bobl nad oedd sl Duw ganddynt ar eu talcennau.
4and it was said to them, that they should not injure the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but the men who have not the seal of God on their foreheads:
5 Gorchmynnwyd iddynt beidio 'u lladd, ond eu poenydio am bum mis; a'u poenedigaeth hwy oedd fel poenedigaeth ysgorpion yn brathu rhywun.
5and it was given to them that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months; and their torment [was] as [the] torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.
6 Yn y dyddiau hynny bydd pobl yn chwilio am farwolaeth, ond ni ddnt o hyd iddi, yn chwenychu marw, ond bydd marwolaeth yn ffoi rhagddynt.
6And in those days shall men seek death, and shall in no way find it; and shall desire to die, and death flees from them.
7 Yn yr olwg arnynt yr oedd y locustiaid yn debyg i geffylau wedi eu paratoi i ryfel. Ar eu pennau yr oedd megis coronau euraid, ac yr oedd eu hwynebau fel wynebau dynol,
7And the likenesses of the locusts [were] like to horses prepared for war; and upon their heads as crowns like gold, and their faces as faces of men;
8 a gwallt ganddynt fel gwallt merched, a'u dannedd fel dannedd llewod.
8and they had hair as women's hair, and their teeth were as of lions,
9 Ac yr oedd eu dwyfron fel dwyfronneg o haearn, a su373?n eu hadenydd fel su373?n llawer o gerbydau rhyfel, a'u ceffylau yn carlamu i'r frwydr.
9and they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running to war;
10 Yr oedd ganddynt gynffonnau tebyg i ysgorpionau, a cholynnau, ac yn eu cynffonnau yr oedd eu gallu i niweidio pobl am bum mis.
10and they have tails like scorpions, and stings; and their power [was] in their tails to hurt men five months.
11 Yn frenin arnynt yr oedd angel y dyfnder; ei enw mewn Hebraeg yw Abadon, ac yn yr iaith Roeg gelwir ef Apolyon.
11They have a king over them, the angel of the abyss: his name in Hebrew, Abaddon, and in Greek he has [for] name Apollyon.
12 Aeth y gwae cyntaf heibio; wele, daw eto ddau wae ar l hyn.
12The first woe has passed. Behold, there come yet two woes after these things.
13 Seiniodd y chweched angel ei utgorn. Yna clywais lais o blith pedwar corn yr allor aur oedd gerbron Duw,
13And the sixth angel sounded [his] trumpet: and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which [is] before God,
14 yn dweud wrth y chweched angel, yr un 'r utgorn ganddo: "Gollwng yn rhydd y pedwar angel sydd wedi eu rhwymo ar lan yr afon fawr, afon Ewffrates."
14saying to the sixth angel that had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound at the great river Euphrates.
15 Rhyddhawyd y pedwar angel, a oedd wedi eu dal yn barod ar gyfer yr awr a'r dydd a'r mis a'r flwyddyn, i ladd traean o'r ddynolryw.
15And the four angels were loosed, who are prepared for the hour and day and month and year, that they might slay the third part of men;
16 Yr oedd lluoedd eu gwu375?r meirch yn rhifo dau gan miliwn; clywais eu rhif hwy.
16and the number of the hosts of horse [was] twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number.
17 Yn fy ngweledigaeth dyma'r olwg a welais ar y ceffylau a'u marchogion: yr oedd eu dwyfronneg yn fflamgoch a glas a melyn, a'u ceffylau phennau ganddynt fel llewod, a thn a mwg a brwmstan yn dod allan o'u safnau.
17And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those that sat upon them, having breastplates of fire and jacinth and brimstone; and the heads of the horses [were] as heads of lions, and out of their mouths goes out fire and smoke and brimstone.
18 Gan y tri phla hyn fe laddwyd traean o'r ddynolryw, hynny yw, gan y tn a'r mwg a'r brwmstan oedd yn dod allan o'u safnau.
18By these three plagues were the third part of men killed, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which goes out of their mouths.
19 Yr oedd gallu'r ceffylau yn eu safnau ac yn eu cynffonnau, oherwydd yr oedd gan eu cynffonnau bennau, fel seirff, ac 'r rhain yr oeddent yn peri niwed.
19For the power of the horses is in their mouth and in their tails: for their tails [are] like serpents, having heads, and with them they injure.
20 Ac am y gweddill o'r ddynolryw, nas lladdwyd gan y plu hyn, ni bu'n edifar ganddynt am yr hyn a luniodd eu dwylo; ac ni pheidiasant ag addoli'r cythreuliaid a'r delwau aur ac arian a phres a cherrig a phren, pethau na allant na gweld na chlywed na cherdded.
20And the rest of men who were not killed with these plagues repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and the golden and silver and brazen and stone and wooden idols, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.
21 Ni bu'n edifar ganddynt chwaith am na'u llofruddiaeth na'u dewiniaeth, na'u hanfoesoldeb rhywiol na'u lladrad.
21And they repented not of their murders, nor of their witchcrafts, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
