1 Fy mhlant, yr wyf yn ysgrifennu'r pethau hyn atoch i'ch cadw rhag pechu. Ond os bydd i rywun bechu, y mae gennym Eiriolwr gyda'r Tad, sef Iesu Grist, y cyfiawn;
1¶ E aku tamariki nonohi, ka tuhituhi atu nei ahau i enei mea ki a koutou, kia kaua ai koutou e hara. A ki te hara tetahi, he kaikorero mo tatou kei te Matua, ko Ihu Karaiti, ko te tika:
2 ac ef sy'n aberth cymod dros ein pechodau, ac nid dros ein pechodau ni yn unig, ond hefyd bechodau'r holl fyd.
2Ko ia ano te whakamarie mo o tatou hara: ehara i te mea mo o tatou anake, engari mo o te ao katoa.
3 Dyma sut yr ydym yn gwybod ein bod yn ei adnabod ef, sef ein bod yn cadw ei orchmynion.
3¶ Ma konei hoki tatou ka matau ai kua matau tatou ki a ia, ki te puritia e tatou ana ture.
4 Y sawl sy'n dweud, "Rwyf yn ei adnabod", a heb gadw ei orchmynion, y mae'n gelwyddog, ac nid yw'r gwirionedd ynddo;
4Ki te mea tetahi, Kua matau ahau ki a ia, a kahore e pupuri i ana ture, he tangata teka ia, kahore hoki te pono i roto i a ia.
5 ond pwy bynnag sy'n cadw ei air ef, yn hwnnw, yn wir, y mae cariad at Dduw wedi ei berffeithio. Dyma sut yr ydym yn gwybod ein bod ynddo ef:
5Ko te tangata e pupuri ana i tana kupu, kua tino rite pu i a ia te aroha o te Atua: ma konei tatou ka matau ai kei roto tatou i a ia:
6 dylai'r sawl sy'n dweud ei fod yn aros ynddo ef rodio ei hun yn union fel y rhodiodd ef.
6Ko te tangata e mea ana e noho ana ia i roto i a ia, ko te tikanga tenei mana, kia rite tana haere ki ta tera.
7 Gyfeillion annwyl, nid gorchymyn newydd yr wyf yn ei ysgrifennu atoch, ond hen orchymyn, un sydd wedi bod gennych o'r dechrau; y gair a glywsoch yw'r hen orchymyn hwn.
7¶ E oku teina, ehara i te ture hou taku e tuhituhi atu nei ki a koutou, engari he ture tawhito, ko tera i a koutou o te timatanga iho ra ano: ko te ture tawhito ko te kupu kua rongo ra koutou.
8 Eto, yr wyf yn ysgrifennu atoch orchymyn newydd, rhywbeth sydd yn wir ynddo ef ac ynoch chwithau; oherwydd y mae'r tywyllwch yn mynd heibio, a'r gwir oleuni eisoes yn tywynnu.
8Na, he ture hou taku e tuhituhi atu nei, he mea pono i a ia, i a koutou hoki, e mahea atu ana hoki te pouri, a kua whiti ke mai te marama pono.
9 Y sawl sy'n dweud ei fod yn y goleuni, ac yn cas�u ei gydaelod, yn y tywyllwch y mae o hyd.
9Ko te tangata e mea ana kei te marama ia, a e mauahara ana ki tona teina, kei roto ia i te pouri a tae noa mai nei.
10 Y mae'r sawl sy'n caru ei gydaelod yn aros yn y goleuni, ac nid oes dim ynddo i faglu neb.
10Ko te tangata e aroha ana ki tona teina, e noho ana ia i roto i te marama, kahore hoki he tutukitanga waewae i roto i a ia.
11 Ond y sawl sy'n cas�u ei gydaelod, yn y tywyllwch y mae, ac yn y tywyllwch y mae'n rhodio, ac nid yw'n gwybod lle y mae'n mynd, am fod y tywyllwch wedi dallu ei lygaid.
11Ko te tangata ia e mauahara ana ki tona teina, kei te pouri ia, e haere ana ia i roto i te pouri, kahore hoki ona matauranga e haere ana ia ki hea, no te mea kua matapotia ona kanohi e te pouri.
12 Rwyf yn ysgrifennu atoch chwi, blant, am fod eich pechodau wedi eu maddau drwy ei enw ef.
12¶ Ka tuhituhi atu nei ahau ki a koutou, e nga tamariki nonohi, no te mea kua murua o koutou hara, he whakaaro hoki ki tona ingoa.
13 Rwyf yn ysgrifennu atoch chwi, dadau, am eich bod yn adnabod yr hwn sydd wedi bod o'r dechreuad. Rwyf yn ysgrifennu atoch chwi, wu375?r ifainc, am eich bod wedi gorchfygu'r Un drwg. Rwyf wedi ysgrifennu atoch chwi, blant, am eich bod yn adnabod y Tad.
13Ka tuhituhi atu nei ahau ki a koutou, e nga matua, no te mea kua matau koutou ki a ia, ara ki to te timatanga. Ka tuhituhi atu ahau ki a koutou, e nga taitamariki, no te mea kua hinga i a koutou te wairua kino. Ka tuhituhi atu ahau ki a koutou, e nga tamariki nohinohi, no te mea kua matau koutou ki te Matua.
14 Rwyf wedi ysgrifennu atoch chwi, dadau, am eich bod yn adnabod yr hwn sydd wedi bod o'r dechreuad. Rwyf wedi ysgrifennu atoch chwi, wu375?r ifainc, am eich bod yn gryf, ac am fod gair Duw yn aros ynoch, a'ch bod wedi gorchfygu'r Un drwg.
14I tuhituhi atu ai ahau ki a koutou, e nga matua, no te mea kua matau koutou ki a ia, ara ki to te timatanga. I tuhituhi atu ai ahau ki a koutou, e nga taitamariki, no te mea he kaha koutou, e mau ana hoki te kupu a te Atua i roto i a koutou, a k ua hinga i a koutou te wairua kino.
15 Peidiwch � charu'r byd na'r pethau sydd yn y byd. Os yw rhywun yn caru'r byd, nid yw cariad y Tad ynddo,
15Kaua e aroha ki te ao, kaua ano hoki ki nga mea o te ao. Ki te aroha tetahi ki te ao, kahore te aroha o te Matua i roto i a ia.
16 oherwydd y cwbl sydd yn y byd � trachwant y cnawd, a thrachwant y llygaid, a balchder mewn medd-iannau � nid o'r Tad y mae, ond o'r byd.
16Ko nga mea katoa hoki i te ao, te hiahia o te kikokiko, te hiahia o nga kanohi, me te whakapehapeha ki o te ao mea, ehara i te Matua, engari no te ao.
17 Y mae'r byd a'i drachwant yn mynd heibio, ond y mae'r sawl sy'n gwneud ewyllys Duw yn aros am byth.
17E pahemo atu ana hoki te ao, me tona hiahia: tena ko te tangata e mea ana i ta te Atua e pai ai, e noho tonu ana ia a ake ake.
18 Blant, dyma'r awr olaf, ac fel y clywsoch fod yr Anghrist yn dod, yn awr dyma anghristiau lawer wedi dod; wrth hyn yr ydym yn gwybod mai dyma'r awr olaf.
18¶ E nga tamariki nonohi, ko te haora whakamutunga tenei: ka rite hoki ki ta koutou i rongo ai, e haere mai ana te anatikaraiti; na, kua tokomaha nei nga anatikaraiti; ma konei tatou ka matau ai ko te haora whakamutunga tenei.
19 Aethant allan oddi wrthym ni, ond nid oeddent yn perthyn i ni, oherwydd pe byddent yn perthyn i ni, byddent wedi aros gyda ni; dangoswyd felly nad oedd neb ohonynt yn perthyn i ni.
19I haere atu ratou i roto i a tatou, ehara ia i te mea no tatou ratou; mehemea hoki no tatou ratou, kua noho tonu ki a tatou: otiia kua haere atu ratou kia whakakitea ai ehara ratou katoa i a tatou.
20 Ond amdanoch chwi, y mae gennych eneiniad oddi wrth yr Un Sanctaidd, ac yr ydych bawb yn gwybod.
20¶ Na he whakawahinga ano to koutou na te Mea Tapu; e matau ana ano hoki koutou ki nga mea katoa.
21 Nid am nad ydych yn gwybod y gwirionedd yr wyf yn ysgrifennu atoch, ond am eich bod yn ei wybod, ac yn gwybod hefyd am bob celwydd, nad yw o'r gwirionedd.
21Ehara i te mea i tuhituhi atu ai ahau ki a koutou no te mea kahore koutou e matau ki te pono, engari no te mea e matau ana koutou, no te mea hoki kahore he teka i puta ake i te pono.
22 Pwy yw'r un celwyddog, ond y sawl sy'n gwadu mai Iesu yw'r Crist? Dyma'r Anghrist, sef yr un sy'n gwadu'r Tad a'r Mab.
22Ko wai koia te tangata teka? he teka ianei ko te tangata e mea ana, Ehara a Ihu i te Karaiti? Ko te anatikaraiti tenei, ko te tangata e whakakahore ana ki te Matua, ki te Tama.
23 Pob un sy'n gwadu'r Mab, nid yw'r Tad ganddo chwaith; y sawl sy'n cyffesu'r Mab, y mae'r Tad ganddo hefyd.
23Ko nga tangata katoa e whakakahore ana ki te Tama, kahore te Matua i a ratou: ko te tangata e whakaae ana ki te Tama, kei a ia ano hoki te Matua.
24 Chwithau, bydded i'r hyn a glywsoch o'r dechrau aros ynoch. Os bydd yr hyn a glywsoch o'r dechrau yn aros ynoch, byddwch chwithau hefyd yn aros yn y Mab ac yn y Tad.
24Na, kia mau ki roto ki a koutou ta koutou i rongo ai no te timatanga ra ano. Ki te mea ka mau i roto i a koutou ta koutou i rongo ai no te timatanga ra ano, e mau ano koutou i roto i te Tama, i roto ano hoki i te Matua.
25 Dyma'r hyn a addawodd ef i ni, sef bywyd tragwyddol.
25Ko te mea ano hoki tenei i whakaaria mai nei e ia ki a tatou, ko te ora tonu.
26 Ysgrifennais hyn atoch ynglu375?n �'r rhai sydd am eich arwain ar gyfeiliorn.
26I tuhituhia atu e ahau enei mea ki a koutou, mo te hunga e mea ana ki te whakapohehe i a koutou.
27 A chwithau, y mae'r eneiniad a gawsoch ganddo ef yn aros ynoch, ac nid oes arnoch angen neb i'ch dysgu; ond y mae'r eneiniad a roddodd ef yn eich dysgu am bopeth, a gwir yw, nid celwydd. Fel y dysgodd ef chwi, arhoswch ynddo ef.
27Otiia e mau ana ano i roto i a koutou tana whakawahinga kua riro na i a koutou: kahore hoki o koutou mea e whakaakona ai koutou e tetahi: ko tana whakawahinga ia e whakaako na i a koutou ki nga mea katoa, he pono tonu, kahore hoki he teka, kia r ite ra ki tana i whakaako ai i a koutou to koutou mau ki roto ki a ia.
28 Ac yn awr, blant, arhoswch ynddo ef, er mwyn inni, pan fydd ef yn ymddangos, gael hyder a bod heb gywilydd arnom ger ei fron ef ar ei ddyfodiad.
28¶ Na inaianei, e nga tamariki nohinohi, kia mau ki roto ki a ia; kia whai maiatanga ai tatou ina puta mai ia, kei whakama hoki ki a ia ina tae mai ia.
29 Os gwyddoch ei fod ef yn gyfiawn, yna fe ddylech wybod bod pob un sy'n gwneud cyfiawnder wedi ei eni ohono ef.
29Ki te matau koutou he tika ia, ka matau koutou he mea whanau nana nga tangata katoa e mea ana i te tika.
