1 Fe wyddoch eich hunain, gyfeillion, na fu ein dyfodiad atoch yn ofer.
1¶ E matau ana hoki koutou, e oku teina, ki to matou haerenga atu ki a koutou, ehara i te mea i kore tikanga;
2 Yr oeddem eisoes wedi dioddef ac wedi cael ein sarhau, fel y gwyddoch, yn Philipi, ond buom yn hy trwy nerth ein Duw i draethu i chwi Efengyl Duw, er mor galed oedd y frwydr.
2Heoi mate ana matou i mua ra, tukinotia ana i Piripai, e matau na koutou, otira maia tonu matou i roto i to tatou Atua ki te korero i te rongopai o te Atua ki a koutou i roto i te uaua nui.
3 Oherwydd nid yw ein hap�l ni yn codi o gyfeiliornad, na chwaith o amhurdeb, ac nid oes ynddi dwyll;

4 yn hytrach, fel y cawsom ein profi'n gymeradwy gan Dduw i gael ymddiried yr Efengyl inni, yr ydym yn llefaru fel rhai sy'n boddhau, nid meidrolion ond Duw, yr hwn sy'n profi ein calonnau.
4Engari, ka pai nei te Atua kia tukua ki a matou te rongopai, ka pera ta matou korero; ehara i te mea kia whakamanawarekatia te tangata, engari te Atua, e whakamatautau nei i o tatou ngakau.
5 Oherwydd, fel y gwyddoch, ni buom un amser yn arfer geiriau gweniaith, na chwaith ffalster i gelu trachwant � fel y mae Duw'n dyst.
5Kahore hoki matou i kitea e korero ana i te kupu whakapati, e matau na ano hoki koutou, e huna ana ranei i te ngakau apo; ko te Atua te kaititiro mai.
6 Ac nid oeddem yn ceisio gogoniant gan bobl, gennych chwi na neb arall, er y gallasem, fel apostolion Crist, fod yn ddynion o bwys.
6Kihai ano matou i rapu kororia i te tangata, i a koutou ranei, i era atu ranei, ahakoa i tika matou, he apotoro nei na te Karaiti, kia mea he tangata whai tikanga matou.
7 Ond buom yn addfwyn yn eich plith, fel mamaeth yn meithrin ei phlant ei hun.
7¶ Engari i ngawari matou i waenganui i a koutou, i rite ki te kaiatawhai e whakaahuru ana i ana tamariki ake.
8 Felly, yn ein hoffter ohonoch, yr oedd yn dda gennym gyfrannu i chwi, nid yn unig Efengyl Duw, ond nyni ein hunain hefyd, gan i chwi ddod yn annwyl gennym.

9 Oherwydd yr ydych yn cofio, gyfeillion, am ein llafur a'n lludded; yr oeddem yn gweithio nos a dydd, rhag bod yn faich ar neb ohonoch, wrth bregethu Efengyl Duw i chwi.
9E mahara ana hoki koutou, e oku teina, ki ta matou mahi, ki to matou mauiui: mahi ana matou i te po, i te ao, kei taimaha ki tetahi o koutou, kauwhautia ana hoki e matou te rongopai o te Atua ki a koutou.
10 Yr ydych chwi'n dystion, a Duw yn dyst hefyd, mor sanctaidd a chyfiawn a di-fai y bu ein hymddygiad tuag atoch chwi sy'n credu.
10Ko koutou nga kaititiro, ko te Atua hoki, ki te tapu, ki te tika, ki te kore he o ta matou whakahaere ki a koutou e whakapono na.
11 A'r un modd, fe wyddoch inni fod i bob un ohonoch fel tad i'w blant,

12 gan apelio atoch, trwy eich annog a'ch rhybuddio i fyw yn deilwng o'r Duw sydd yn eich galw i'w deyrnas a'i ogoniant ei hun.
12Mo ta koutou haere kia rite ki ta te Atua, nana nei koutou i karanga ki tona rangatiratanga, ki tona kororia.
13 Yr ydym ni'n diolch i Dduw yn ddi-baid ar gyfrif hyn hefyd: eich bod chwi, wrth dderbyn gair Duw fel y clywsoch ef gennym ni, wedi ei groesawu, nid fel gair dynol ond fel yr hyn ydyw mewn gwirionedd, sef gair Duw, sydd hefyd ar waith ynoch chwi sy'n gredinwyr.

14 Oherwydd daethoch chwi, gyfeillion, i efelychu eglwysi Duw yng Nghrist Iesu sydd yn Jwdea, oherwydd yr ydych chwi wedi dioddef yr un pethau yn union oddi ar law eich cydwladwyr ag y maent hwythau oddi ar law yr Iddewon,
14Kua whai na hoki koutou, e oku teina, i te tauria a nga hahi a te Atua i Huria i roto i a Karaiti Ihu: ko o koutou matenga hoki i nga tangata o to koutou ake iwi kua rite ki o era matenga i nga Hurai;
15 y rhai a laddodd yr Arglwydd Iesu, a hefyd y proffwydi, ac a'n herlidiodd ni. Nid ydynt yn boddhau Duw, ac y maent yn elyniaethus i bawb,
15Na ratou hoki i whakamate te Ariki, a Ihu, me nga poropiti, a i pana matou ki waho; kahore a ratou whakamanawareka ki te Atua, a he hoariri ratou no nga tangata katoa.
16 gan eu bod yn ein rhwystro ni rhag llefaru i'r Cenhedloedd er mwyn iddynt gael eu hachub. Felly y maent bob amser yn cyflenwi mesur eu pechodau. Ond y mae'r digofaint wedi dod arnynt o'r diwedd.
16E arai mai ana i a matou kei korero ki nga tauiwi kia ora ai, he mea tenei e tutuki ai o ratou hara i nga wa katoa; otira ka whakapaua rawatia te riri ki a ratou.
17 Pan oeddem ni, gyfeillion, wedi ein gwneud yn amddifad, o'ch colli chwi dros ychydig amser, o ran golwg ond nid o ran y galon, aethom yn fwy eiddgar, ac yn angerddol ein dymuniad am eich gweld.

19 Canys pwy yw ein gobaith a'n llawenydd, a'r goron yr ymffrostiwn ynddi gerbron ein Harglwydd Iesu ar ei ddyfodiad, pwy ond chwi eich hunain?

20 Ie, chwi yw ein gogoniant a'n llawenydd.
