1 Simeon Pedr, gwas ac apostol Iesu Grist, at y rhai sydd, trwy gyfiawnder ein Duw a'n Gwaredwr Iesu Grist, wedi derbyn ffydd gyfuwch ei gwerth �'r eiddom ninnau.
1¶ Na Haimona Pita, he pononga, a he apotoro na Ihu Karaiti, ki te hunga kua whiwhi tahi nei tatou ki te whakapono utu nui, i runga o te tika o to tatou Atua, o Ihu Karaiti, o te Kaiwhakaora.
2 Gras a thangnefedd a amlhaer i chwi trwy adnabyddiaeth o Dduw ac Iesu ein Harglwydd!
2Kia whakanuia te aroha noa me te rangimarie ki a koutou, i runga i te matauranga ki te Atua, ki a Ihu hoki, ki to tatou Ariki.
3 Y mae ei allu dwyfol wedi rhoi i ni bob peth sy'n angenrheidiol i fywyd a duwioldeb trwy ein hadnabyddiaeth o'r hwn a'n galwodd �'i weithred ogoneddus a rhagorol ei hun.
3Kua homai na hoki e tona kaha Atua ki a tatou nga mea katoa mo te ora, mo te karakia pai, i te mea ka matau nei ki te Kaikaranga i a tatou i runga i te kororia, i te pai:
4 Trwy hyn y mae ef wedi rhoi i ni addewidion gwerthfawr dros ben, er mwyn i chwi trwyddynt hwy ddianc o afael llygredigaeth y trachwant sydd yn y byd, a dod yn gyfranogion o'r natur ddwyfol.
4Na enei hoki i riro mai ai i a tatou nga kupu whakaari, he mea nui whakaharahara, he mea utu nui; ma enei hoki koutou ka whiwhi ai ki te ahua Atua, i a koutou ka mawhiti nei i te pirau i te ao, ara i to te hiahia.
5 Am yr union reswm yma, felly, gwnewch eich gorau glas i ychwanegu rhinwedd at eich ffydd, gwybodaeth at rinwedd,
5¶ Ma reira nei hoki, me whakapau rawa to koutou uaua, honoa iho ano te pai ki runga ki to koutou whakapono; ki runga hoki ki te pai ko te matauranga;
6 hunan-ddisgyblaeth at wybodaeth, dyfalbarhad at hunanddisgyblaeth, duwioldeb at ddyfalbarhad,
6Ki runga ki te matauranga ko te pehi o te hiahia; ki runga ki te pehi o te hiahia ko te manawanui; ki runga ki te manawanui ko te karakia pai;
7 brawdgarwch at dduwioldeb, a chariad at frawdgarwch.
7Ki runga ki te karakia pai ko te atawhai ki nga teina; ki runga ki te atawhai ki nga teina ko te aroha.
8 Oherwydd os yw'r rhain gennych, ac ar gynnydd, byddant yn peri nad diog a diffrwyth fyddwch yn eich adnabyddiaeth o'n Harglwydd Iesu Grist.
8Ki te mea hoki kei a koutou enei mea, ki te nui haere hoki, ka meinga koutou kia kaua e mangere, kia kaua e huakore i runga i te matauranga ki to tatou Ariki, ki a Ihu Karaiti.
9 Ond hebddynt y mae rhywun mor fyr ei olwg nes bod yn ddall, heb ddim cof ganddo am y glanhad oddi wrth ei bechodau gynt.
9Ko te tangata hoki kahore nei i a ia enei mea, he matapo, he atarua, kua wareware ki te horoinga o ona hara o mua.
10 Dyna pam, gyfeillion, y dylech ymdrechu'n fwy byth i wneud eich galwad a'ch etholedigaeth yn sicr. Oherwydd os gwnewch hyn, ni lithrwch byth.
10Mo konei, e oku teina, kia puta to koutou uaua ki te whakapumau i to koutou karangatanga, i to koutou whiriwhiringa: ki te penei hoki ta koutou mahi e kore rawa koutou e tapepa:
11 Felly y rhydd Duw ichwi, o'i haelioni, fynediad i dragwyddol deyrnas ein Harglwydd a'n Gwaredwr, Iesu Grist.
11Penei hoki ka whiwhi nui koutou ki te huarahi tomo atu ki te rangatiratanga mutungakore o to tatou Ariki, ara o te Kaiwhakaora, o Ihu Karaiti.
12 Am hynny, rwy'n bwriadu eich atgoffa'n wastad am y pethau hyn, er eich bod yn eu gwybod, ac wedi eich sefydlu'n gadarn yn y gwirionedd sydd gennych.
12¶ Mo reira ano e kore ahau e mangere ki te whakamahara tonu i a koutou ki enei mea, e matau ana raia koutou, kua oti ano te whakau ki runga ki te mea pono, kei a koutou na.
13 Tra bydd y cnawd hwn yn babell imi, yr wyf yn ystyried ei bod hi'n iawn imi eich deffro trwy eich atgoffa amdanynt.
13Ki toku whakaaro hoki, i ahau e noho ana i tenei tapenakara, he mea tika ano kia whakaoho ahau i a koutou, kia whakamahara;
14 Gwn y bydd yn rhaid i mi roi fy mhabell heibio yn fuan, fel y mae ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist, yn wir, wedi gwneud yn eglur imi.
14E mohio ana hoki ahau e kore e wheau ka mahue tenei tapenakara oku, ka pera ano me ta to tatou Ariki, me ta Ihu Karaiti, i whakakite mai ai ki ahau.
15 Gwnaf fy ngorau, felly, i ofalu y byddwch, ar �l fy ymadawiad, yn gallu dwyn y pethau hyn yn wastad i gof.
15Ka puta ano hoki toku uaua kia mau tonu to koutou mahara ki enei mea i muri i toku matenga.
16 Nid dilyn chwedlau wedi eu dyfeisio'n gyfrwys yr oeddem wrth hysbysu i chwi allu ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist a'i ddyfodiad; yn hytrach, yr oeddem wedi ei weld �'n llygaid ein hunain yn ei fawredd.
16¶ Ehara hoki i te mea he whai ta matou i nga kupu i totoa e te whakaaro tinihanga, i te whakapuakanga o te kaha, o te haerenga mai o to tatou Ariki, o Ihu Karaiti ki a koutou; engari he kaititiro ano matou ki tona nui.
17 Yr oeddem yno pan roddwyd iddo anrhydedd a gogoniant gan Dduw Dad, pan ddaeth y llais ato o'r Gogoniant goruchel yn dweud: "Hwn yw fy Mab, fy Anwylyd; ynddo ef yr wyf yn ymhyfrydu."
17I riro hoki ia ia he honore, he kororia na te Atua Matua, i te putanga mai o taua reo ki a ia i roto i te kororia nui rawa, Ko taku Tama tenei i aroha ai, ko taku i ahuareka ai.
18 Fe glywsom ni'r llais hwn yn dod o'r nef, oherwydd yr oeddem gydag ef ar y mynydd sanctaidd.
18I rongo ano matou ki tenei reo e puta mai ana i te rangi, i a matou i tona taha i runga i te maunga tapu.
19 Y mae gennym hefyd genadwri gwbl ddibynadwy y proffwydi; a pheth da fydd i chwi roi sylw iddi, gan ei bod fel cannwyll yn disgleirio mewn lle tywyll, hyd nes y bydd y Dydd yn gwawrio a seren y bore yn codi i lewyrchu yn eich calonnau.
19¶ Katahi ka u rawa te kupu poropiti ki a tatou inaianei; pai tonu ki te anga to koutou whakaaro ki reira, he rama hoki e tiaho ana i te wahi pouri, kia puao ra ano te ra, kia ara ra ano te whetu o te ata i roto i o koutou ngakau:
20 Ond sylwch ar hyn yn gyntaf: nid yw'r un broffwydoliaeth o'r Ysgrythur
20Kia mohio hoki i te tuatahi, kahore he poropititanga o te karaipiture nona ake ona tikanga.
21 yn fater o ddehongliad personol, oherwydd ni ddaeth yr un broffwydoliaeth erioed trwy ewyllys ddynol; pobl oeddent a lefarodd air oddi wrth Dduw wrth gael eu hysgogi gan yr Ysbryd Gl�n.
21Ehara hoki i te mea na te whakaaro o te tangata i puta mai ai te poropititanga i mua, engari he mea whakamahara na te Wairua Tapu i korero ai nga tangata tapu a te Atua.
