1 Preswyliodd Jacob yng ngwlad Canaan, y wlad yr ymdeithiodd ei dad ynddi.
1¶ A i noho a Hakopa i te whenua i noho manene ai tona papa, i te whenua o Kanaana.
2 Dyma hanes tylwyth Jacob. Yr oedd Joseff yn ddwy ar bymtheg oed, ac yn bugeilio'r praidd gyda'i frodyr, gan helpu meibion Bilha a Silpa, gwragedd ei dad; a chariodd Joseff straeon drwg amdanynt i'w tad.

3 Yr oedd Israel yn caru Joseff yn fwy na'i holl blant, gan mai mab ei henaint ydoedd; a gwnaeth wisg laes iddo.

4 Pan welodd ei frodyr fod eu tad yn ei garu yn fwy na'r un ohonynt, rhoesant eu cas arno fel na fedrent ddweud gair caredig wrtho.

5 Cafodd Joseff freuddwyd, a phan ddywedodd wrth ei frodyr amdani, aethant i'w gas�u yn fwy fyth.

6 Dywedodd wrthynt, "Gwrandewch, dyma'r freuddwyd a gefais:

7 yr oeddem yn rhwymo ysgubau yn y maes, a dyma f'ysgub i yn codi ar ei sefyll, a daeth eich ysgubau chwi yn gylch o'i chwmpas ac ymgrymu i'm hysgub i."
7Nana, i te paihere witi tatou i waenga mara, na ka whakatika ake taku paihere, a ka tu; ko te tino karapotinga mai o a koutou paihere, kei te piko iho ki taku paihere.
8 Yna gofynnodd ei frodyr iddo, "Ai ti sydd i deyrnasu arnom? A fyddi di'n arglwydd arnom ni?" Ac aethant i'w gas�u ef yn fwy eto o achos ei freuddwydion a'i eiriau.
8Na ka mea ona tuakana ki a ia, Koia ranei ko koe hei kingi mo matou? hei rangatira ano ranei koe mo matou? Na ka nui haere ano to ratou kino ki a ia mo ana moe, mo ana kupu.
9 Yna cafodd freuddwyd arall, ac adroddodd amdani wrth ei frodyr a dweud, "Cefais freuddwyd arall: dyna lle'r oedd yr haul a'r lleuad ac un seren ar ddeg yn ymgrymu i mi."
9A i moe ano ia i tetahi atu moe, a ka korerotia e ia ki ona tuakana, ka mea ia, Nana, tenei ano hoki tetahi moe i moe ai ahau; na, ko te ra me te marama, me nga whetu kotahi tekau ma tahi, e piko mai ana ki ahau.
10 Wedi iddo ei hadrodd wrth ei dad a'i frodyr, ceryddodd ei dad ef, a dweud, "Beth yw'r freuddwyd hon a gefaist? A ddown ni, myfi a'th fam a'th frodyr, i ymgrymu i'r llawr i ti?"

11 A chenfigennodd ei frodyr wrtho, ond cadwodd ei dad y peth yn ei gof.

12 Yr oedd ei frodyr wedi mynd i fugeilio praidd eu tad ger Sichem.
12¶ Na ka haere ona tuakana ki te whangai i nga hipi a to ratou papa i Hekeme.
13 A dywedodd Israel wrth Joseff, "Onid yw dy frodyr yn bugeilio ger Sichem? Tyrd, fe'th anfonaf di atynt." Atebodd yntau, "o'r gorau."
13A ka mea a Iharaira ki a Hohepa, Kahore ianei ou tuakana i te whangai hipi i Hekeme? haere mai, me tono koe e ahau ki a ratou. Ka mea ia, Tenei ahau.
14 Yna dywedodd wrtho, "Dos i weld sut y mae dy frodyr a'r praidd, a thyrd � gair yn �l i mi." Felly anfonodd ef o ddyffryn Hebron, ac aeth tua Sichem.
14Na ka mea ia ki a ia, Tena, haere, tirohia, kei te ora ranei ou tuakana, kei te ora ano ranei nga hipi; ka whakahoki mai ia i te korero ki ahau. Na ka tonoa atu ia e ia i te raorao o Heperona, a ka haere ia ki Hekeme.
15 Cyfarfu gu373?r ag ef pan oedd yn crwydro yn y fro, a gofyn iddo, "Beth wyt ti'n ei geisio?"

23 A phan ddaeth Joseff at ei frodyr, tynasant ei wisg oddi arno, y wisg laes yr oedd yn ei gwisgo,
23¶ A, i te taenga o Hohepa ki ona tuakana, ka huia e ratou te koti o Hohepa, te koti purepure e mau ana i a ia;
24 a'i gymryd a'i daflu i'r pydew. Yr oedd y pydew yn wag, heb ddu373?r ynddo.
24A mauria ana ia, maka ana e ratou ki te poka: he tuwhera kau ano te poka, kahore he wai o roto.
25 Tra oeddent yn eistedd i fwyta, codasant eu golwg a gweld cwmni o Ismaeliaid yn dod ar eu taith o Gilead, a'u camelod yn dwyn glud p�r, balm a myrr, i'w cludo i lawr i'r Aifft.
25Na ka noho ratou ki te kai taro: a ka anga ake o ratou kanohi, na, ko tetahi tira Ihimaeri e haere mai ana i Kireara me a ratou kamera, he waha i nga mea kakara, i te pama, i te maira, e haere ana ki te kawe ki raro, ki Ihipa.
26 A dywedodd Jwda wrth ei frodyr, "Faint gwell fyddwn o ladd ein brawd a chelu ei waed?

30 a mynd at ei frodyr a dweud, "Nid yw'r bachgen yno; a minnau, i ble'r af?"

31 Cymerasant wisg Joseff, a lladd gafr, a throchi'r wisg yn y gwaed.

32 Yna aethant �'r wisg laes yn �l at eu tad, a dweud, "Daethom o hyd i hon; edrych di ai gwisg dy fab ydyw."
32Na ka hoatu te koti purepure kia kawea ki to ratou papa; ka mea ratou, I kitea tenei e matou; tena, tirohia ko te koti ranei o tau tama, ehara ranei?
33 Fe'i hadnabu a dywedodd, "Gwisg fy mab yw hi; anifail gwyllt sydd wedi ei ddifa. Yn wir, y mae Joseff wedi ei larpio."
33A ka mohiotia e ia, a ka mea ia, Ko te koti tenei o taku tama; kua kainga ia e te kirehe nanakia; kua tino haea rawatia a Hohepa.
34 Yna rhwygodd Jacob ei ddillad a gwisgo sachliain am ei lwynau, a galarodd am ei fab am amser hir.
34Na ka haea e Hakopa ona kakahu, ka kakahuria e ia tona hope ki te kakahu taratara, a he maha nga ra i uhungatia ai e ia tana tama.
35 A daeth pob un o'i feibion a'i ferched i'w gysuro, ond gwrthododd dderbyn cysur, a dywedodd, "Mewn galar yr af finnau i lawr i'r bedd at fy mab." Ac wylodd ei dad amdano.
