1 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Josua, "Paid ag ofni nac arswydo; cymer y rhyfelwyr i gyd gyda thi, a dos i fyny at Ai. Edrych, yr wyf wedi rhoi yn dy law frenin Ai gyda'i bobl, ei ddinas a'i dir.
1¶ Na ka mea a Ihowa ki a Hohua, Kaua e mataku, kaua e pawera: tangohia ki a koe te hunga hapai patu katoa, a whakatika, haere ki runga, ki Hai: titiro hoki, kua hoatu e ahau ki tou ringa te kingi o Hai, tona iwi, tona pa, me tona whenua:
2 Gwna i Ai a'i brenin fel y gwnaethost i Jericho a'i brenin, ond cewch gadw ei hanrhaith a'i hanifeiliaid hi yn ysbail i chwi eich hunain. Gosod iti filwyr ynghudd y tu cefn i'r ddinas."
2A kia rite tau e mea ai ki Hai, ki tona kingi hoki, ki tau i mea ai ki Heriko, ki tona kingi: ko ona taonga ia, me ona kararehe, me tango ma koutou: whakatakotoria he pehipehi mo te pa ki tera pito.
3 Cychwynnodd Josua a'r holl fyddin i fyny yn erbyn Ai; a dewisodd Josua ddeng mil ar hugain o ryfelwyr dewr, a'u hanfon ymlaen liw nos.
3¶ Na ko te whakatikanga o Hohua me te hunga hapai patu katoa ki te whakaeke i Hai: a whiriwhiria ana e Hohua e toru tekau mano o nga tangata, he marohirohi, a tonoa atu ana ratou e ia i te po.
4 Yna gorchmynnodd iddynt fel hyn: "Edrychwch, yr ydych i guddio o olwg y ddinas, y tu cefn iddi; ond peidiwch � mynd yn rhy bell oddi wrthi, a byddwch i gyd yn barod.
4I whakahau ano ia i a ratou, i mea, Kia mahara, me whakatakoto he pehipehi mo te pa ki tera pito o te pa: kei matara rawa atu i te pa, engari kia tumatohi koutou katoa;
5 Byddaf fi a'r holl fyddin sydd gyda mi yn agos�u at y ddinas, a phan dd�nt allan i ymosod arnom fel y tro cyntaf, yna byddwn yn ffoi o'u blaen.
5A maku, ma te hunga katoa hoki i ahau, e whakatata ki te pa: a ka puta mai ratou ki te tu i a matou, ka pera me to mua, na ka rere matou i to ratou aroaro;
6 Fe dd�nt hwythau ar ein h�l nes inni eu denu hwy o'r ddinas, gan feddwl ein bod yn ffoi o'u blaen fel y gwnaethom y tro cynt.
6Na ka puta mai ratou ka whai i a matou, a ka manukawhakitia e matou i roto i te pa; tera hoki ratou e mea, E rere ana ratou i o tatou aroaro, pera ano me to mua. A ka rere matou i to ratou aroaro;
7 Codwch chwithau o'ch cuddfan a meddiannu'r dref, oherwydd bydd yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn ei rhoi yn eich llaw.
7Hei reira koutou whakatika ai i te pehipehi, a ka tomo i te pa; ma Ihowa hoki, ma to koutou Atua e tuku ki o koutou ringa.
8 Wedi ichwi oresgyn y dref, llosgwch hi � th�n. Gwnewch yn �l gair yr ARGLWYDD; edrychwch, dyma fy ngorchymyn i chwi."
8Na, ka riro te pa i a koutou, tahuna te pa ki te ahi: peratia me ta Ihowa i ki ai. Kia mahara, kua whakaritea atu nei e ahau ki a koutou.
9 Wedi i Josua eu hanfon ymaith, aethant i guddfan a'u gosod eu hunain rhwng Bethel ac Ai, i'r gorllewin o Ai. Treuliodd Josua'r noson honno gyda'r fyddin.
9Na tonoa ana ratou e Hohua: a haere ana ratou ki te whakatakoto pehipehi, a noho ana i waenganui o Peteere, o Hai, ki te taha ki te hauauru o Hai: ko Hohua ia i moe i waenganui o te iwi i taua po.
10 Cododd Josua a'r henuriaid yn fore drannoeth a chynnull y fyddin a'i harwain tuag Ai.
10Na ka maranga wawe a Hohua i te ata, a whakaemia ana e ia te iwi, na haere ana ia me nga kaumatua o Iharaira i mua i te iwi ki Hai.
11 Aeth yr holl fyddin oedd gydag ef i fyny, a nes�u at ymyl y dref a gwersyllu i'r gogledd iddi, gyda dyffryn rhyngddynt hwy ac Ai.
11A, ko te iwi katoa tae noa ki te hunga hapai patu i a ia, i haere, i whakatata, a ka tae ki mua o te pa, a noho rawa atu ki te taha ki te raki o Hai: na he wharua i waenganui o ratou, o Hai.
12 Yr oedd wedi dewis tua phum mil o wu375?r ac wedi eu rhoi i guddio rhwng Bethel ac Ai i'r gorllewin o'r dref.
12Na ka tango ia i etahi tangata tata tonu ki te rima mano, a whakanohoia ana e ia hei pehipehi ki waenganui o Peteere, o Hai, ki te taha ki te hauauru o te pa.
13 Yr oedd crynswth y fyddin yn gwersyllu i'r gogledd o'r dref a'r milwyr cudd i'r gorllewin o'r dref; treuliodd Josua y noson honno ar lawr y dyffryn.
13A, ka oti i a ratou te whakanoho te iwi, ara te ope katoa, tera i te raki o te pa, me a ratou pehipehi ki te hauauru o te pa, na ka haere a Hohua i taua po ano ki waenganui o te wharua.
14 Pan welodd brenin Ai hwy, brysiodd ef a dynion y dref yn gynnar yn y bore i fynd allan gyda'r holl fyddin i gyfarfod Israel mewn brwydr ar lecyn yn wynebu'r Araba, heb wybod bod milwyr yn llechu y tu �l i'r dref.
14A, no te kitenga o te kingi o Hai, na hohoro ana ratou, maranga wawe ana; ko te tino putanga mai o nga tangata o te pa ki te tu i a Ihariara ki te riri, a ia me tona iwi katoa i te wa i whakaritea, i te ritenga mai o te mania; kihai ia i mohio h e pehipehi tera mona kei tua o te pa.
15 Ffodd Josua a'r Israeliaid oll i gyfeiriad yr anialwch, fel pe baent wedi eu taro ganddynt.
15A whakawhati ana a Hohua ratou ko Iharaira katoa i a ratou ano i o ratou aroaro, a rere ana i te huarahi ki te koraha.
16 Galwyd yr holl bobl oedd yn y dref i ymlid ar eu h�l; ac wrth iddynt ymlid ar �l Josua, fe'u denwyd i ffwrdd o'r dref.
16Katahi ka karangatia te iwi katoa i roto i Hai ki te whai i a ratou: na whai ana ratou i muri i a Hohua, a manukawhakitia ana ratou i roto i te pa.
17 Nid oedd neb ar �l yn Ai na Bethel heb fynd allan ar �l Israel; gadawsant y dref yn benagored a mynd i ymlid yr Israeliaid.

18 Yna dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Josua, "Estyn y waywffon sydd yn dy law tuag Ai, oherwydd yr wyf am roi'r dref yn dy law."

19 Estynnodd Josua'r waywffon oedd yn ei law tua'r dref; ac fel yr estynnai ei law, cododd y milwyr cudd o'u lle ar unwaith, a rhuthro i mewn i'r dref a'i chipio, a llosgi'r dref heb oedi dim.
19Na hohoro tonu te rewa o te pehipehi i to ratou wahi, a rere ana i te toronga atu ano o tona ringa: a tomokia ana e ratou te pa a horo noa, na hohoro tonu ta ratou tahu i te pa ki te ahi.
20 Pan drodd dynion Ai ac edrych yn eu h�l, gwelsant fwg y dref yn esgyn i'r awyr, ond ni allent ffoi nac yma nac acw, gan fod y fyddin a fu'n ffoi tua'r anialwch wedi troi i wynebu ei herlidwyr;
20A, no te tahuritanga o nga tangata o Hai, ka titiro, na ko te paowa o te pa e kake ana ki te rangi, na kahore o ratou kaha ki te rere penei ranei, pera ranei: na ka tahuri te hunga i rere whaka te koraha ki nga mea i whai ra.
21 oherwydd pan welodd Josua a holl Israel fod y milwyr cudd wedi cipio'r dref, a bod mwg yn codi ohoni, troesant yn eu h�l ac ymosod ar ddynion Ai.
21A, no te kitenga o Hohua ratou ko Iharaira katoa kua horo te pa i te pehipehi, a ko te paowa o te pa e kake ana ki runga, na ka tahuri ratou, ka patu i nga tangata o Hai.
22 Daeth y lleill allan o'r dref i'w cyfarfod, ac felly'r oeddent yn y canol rhwng dwy garfan o Israeliaid; trawyd hwy heb i neb gael ei arbed na dianc.
22A ka puta mai era i roto i te pa ki te whakatutaki i a ratou; na ka noho ratou ki waenganui o Iharaira, ko etahi ki tenei taha, ko etahi ki tera taha: na tukitukia iho ratou e ratou, a kore rawa i toe tetahi morehu, tetahi ranei i rere atu.
23 Daliwyd brenin Ai yn fyw, a daethant ag ef gerbron Josua.

24 Wedi i'r Israeliaid ladd holl drigolion Ai oedd allan yn yr anialwch, lle'r oeddent wedi eu hymlid, a phob un ohonynt wedi syrthio dan fin y cleddyf nes eu difa'n llwyr, yna dychwelodd Israel gyfan i Ai, a'i tharo �'r cleddyf.
24A, no ka poto i a Iharaira te patu nga tangata katoa o Hai i te parea, i te koraha i whaia nei ratou ki reira, a ka hinga katoa ratou i te mata o te hoari a poto noa ratou, katahi ka hoki katoa a Iharaira ki Hai, ka tukituki hoki i reira ki te m ata o te hoari.
25 Nifer y rhai a syrthiodd y diwrnod hwnnw oedd deuddeng mil, yn wu375?r a gwragedd, sef holl boblogaeth Ai.
25A, ko nga tangata katoa i hinga i taua ra, nga tane me nga wahine, kotahi tekau ma rua mano, ko nga tangata katoa hoki o Hai.
26 Ni thynnodd Josua'n �l y llaw oedd yn dal y waywffon nes difa holl drigolion Ai.
26Kahore hoki a Hohua i whakahoki mai i tona ringa, i torona atu ai e ia me te timata, a ngaro noa i a ia nga tangata katoa o Hai.
27 Dim ond y gwartheg ac anrhaith y dref a gymerodd yr Israeliaid yn ysbail iddynt eu hunain, yn �l gorchymyn yr ARGLWYDD i Josua.
27Ko nga kararehe anake me nga taonga o taua pa i tangohia e Iharaira ma ratou, i pera ano me te kupu a Ihowa i tohutohu ai ki a Hohua.
28 Llosgodd Josua Ai a'i gadael yn domen barhaol a erys yn ddiffaith hyd heddiw.
28A tahuna ana e Hohua a Hai, meinga iho hei puranga mo a mua tonu atu, hei ururua a tae noa mai ki tenei ra.
29 Crogodd frenin Ai ar grocbren hyd yr hwyr, ac ar fachlud yr haul gorchmynnodd Josua iddynt dynnu ei gorff i lawr o'r crocbren a'i daflu ger y fynedfa i'r dref; codwyd carnedd fawr o gerrig drosto, sydd yno hyd heddiw.
29A ko te kingi o Hai i taronatia e Hohua a ahiahi noa: a, ka to te ra, ka whakahaua e Hohua kia tangohia iho tona tinana i runga i te rakau, kia maka ki te kuwaha o te tomokanga ki te pa, kia whakapurangatia he kohatu ki runga i a ia, he puranga nui e tu nei a taea noatia tenei ra.
30 Yna cododd Josua allor i'r ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel, ym Mynydd Ebal.
30¶ Na hanga ana e Hohua tetahi aata ma Ihowa, ma te Atua o Iharaira, ki Maunga Epara,
31 Fel yr oedd Moses gwas yr ARGLWYDD wedi gorchymyn i'r Israeliaid, ac fel sy'n ysgrifenedig yn llyfr cyfraith Moses, yr oedd yr allor wedi ei hadeiladu o gerrig heb eu naddu na'u trin � haearn. Ac offrymasant arni boethoffrymau i'r ARGLWYDD, ac aberthu heddoffrymau.
31Pera me ta Mohi, me ta te pononga a Ihowa i whakahau ai ki nga tama a Iharaira, he mea e rite ana ki tera i tuhituhia ki roto i te pukapuka o te ture a Mohi, he aata kamaka toitu, kihai nei i akina iho te rino ki runga; a whakaekea ana e ratou h e tahunga tinana ma Ihowa, i patua hoki he whakahere mo te pai.
32 Yno yng ngu373?ydd yr Israeliaid ysgrifennodd ar feini gopi o gyfraith Moses.
32A tuhituhia ana e ia i reira ki nga kohatu nga kupu o te ture a Mohi, he mea tuhituhi i te aroaro o nga tama a Iharaira.
33 Yr oedd Israel gyfan � ei henuriaid, ei swyddogion, a'i barnwyr � yn sefyll o boptu'r arch, gerbron yr offeiriaid, sef y Lefiaid oedd yn cludo arch cyfamod yr ARGLWYDD. Yr oedd estron a brodor fel ei gilydd yno, hanner ohonynt ar bwys Mynydd Garisim, a hanner ar bwys Mynydd Ebal, fel yr oedd Moses gwas yr ARGLWYDD wedi gorchymyn yn y dechrau ar gyfer bendithio pobl Israel.

34 Wedi hynny darllenodd Josua holl eiriau'r gyfraith, y fendith a'r felltith, fel sy'n ysgrifenedig yn llyfr y gyfraith.
34A muri iho ka korerotia e ia nga kupu katoa o te ture, nga manaaki me nga kanga, rite tonu ki nga mea katoa i tuhituhia ki te pukapuka o te ture.
35 Ni adawodd Josua air o'r cyfan a orchmynnodd Moses heb ei ddarllen gerbron holl gynulleidfa Israel, gan gynnwys y gwragedd a'r plant a'r estron oedd yn aros yn eu mysg.
