1 Dewisodd Dafydd a'r swyddogion feibion Asaff, Heman a Jeduthun ar gyfer y gwaith o broffwydo � thelynau, nablau a symbalau. Dyma restr o'r dynion a etholwyd ar gyfer y gwaith.
1Moreover, David and the captains of the army set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals: and the number of those who did the work according to their service was:
2 O feibion Asaff: Saccur, Joseff, Nethaneia ac Asarela. Yr oedd meibion Asaff o dan gyfarwyddyd Asaff, a oedd yn proffwydo mewn ufudd-dod i'r brenin.
2of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied after the order of the king.
3 O Jeduthun, meibion Jeduthun: Gedaleia, Seri, Jesaia, Simei, Hasabeia a Matitheia, chwech, o dan gyfarwyddyd eu tad Jeduthun, a oedd yn proffwydo ar y delyn er mawl a chlod i'r ARGLWYDD.
3Of Jeduthun; the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising Yahweh.
4 O Heman, meibion Heman: Bucceia, Mataneia, Ussiel, Sebuel, Jerimoth, Hananeia, Hanani, Eliatha, Gidalti, Romamti-eser, Josbecasa, Malothi, Hothir a Mahasioth.
4Of Heman; the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.
5 Yr oedd y rhain i gyd yn feibion Heman, gweledydd y brenin, gan fod Duw wedi addo ei ddyrchafu, ac wedi rhoi iddo bedwar ar ddeg o feibion a thair merch.
5All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6 Yr oedd y rhain i gyd o dan gyfarwyddyd eu tad yn canu yn nhu375?'r ARGLWYDD gyda symbalau, nablau a thelynau, tra oedd Asaff, Jeduthun a Heman o dan gyfarwyddyd y brenin.
6All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of Yahweh, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of God’s house; Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.
7 Y cyfanrif, gan gynnwys eu brodyr a oedd wedi eu hyfforddi sut i ganu i'r ARGLWYDD ac wedi meistroli'r grefft, oedd dau gant wyth deg ac wyth.
7The number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to Yahweh, even all who were skillful, was two hundred eighty-eight.
8 Bwriasant goelbrennau ynglu375?n �'u dyletswyddau, ifanc a hen, athro a disgybl fel ei gilydd.
8They cast lots for their offices, all alike, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.
9 Syrthiodd y coelbren cyntaf ar Joseff yr Asaffiad, ef a'i feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg. Yr ail ar Gedaleia, ef a'i frodyr a'i feibion, deuddeg.
9Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah; he and his brothers and sons were twelve:
10 Y trydydd ar Saccur, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
10the third to Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
11 Y pedwerydd ar Isri, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
11the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
12 Y pumed ar Nethaneia, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
12the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
13 Y chweched ar Bucceia, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
13the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
14 Y seithfed ar Jesarela, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
14the seventh to Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
15 Yr wythfed ar Jesaia, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
15the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
16 Y nawfed ar Mataneia, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
16the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
17 Y degfed ar Simei, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
17the tenth to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
18 Yr unfed ar ddeg ar Asareel, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
18the eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
19 Y deuddegfed ar Hasabeia, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
19the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
20 Y trydydd ar ddeg ar Subael, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
20for the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
21 Y pedwerydd ar ddeg ar Matitheia, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.

24 Yr ail ar bymtheg ar Josbecasa, ei feibion a'i frodyr, deuddeg.
24for the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:
