1 Anfonodd Heseceia negeswyr trwy holl Israel a Jwda, ac ysgrifennu llythyrau at Effraim a Manasse i'w gwahodd i ddod i gadw Pasg yr ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel, yn nhu375?'r ARGLWYDD yn Jerwsalem.
1Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of Yahweh at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel.
2 Yr oedd y brenin a'i swyddogion a'r holl gynulleidfa yn Jerwsalem wedi cytuno i gadw'r Pasg yn yr ail fis,
2For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the assembly in Jerusalem, to keep the Passover in the second month.
3 oherwydd ni allent ei gadw ar yr amser priodol am nad oedd digon o offeiriaid wedi ymgysegru, ac am nad oedd y bobl wedi ymgasglu yn Jerwsalem.
3For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves in sufficient number, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.
4 Yr oedd y brenin a'r holl gynulleidfa yn gweld y cynllun yn un da.
4The thing was right in the eyes of the king and of all the assembly.
5 Felly gorchmynasant gyhoeddi trwy Israel gyfan, o Beerseba i Dan, fod pawb i ddod i Jerwsalem i gadw Pasg yr ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel; oherwydd nid oeddent wedi ei gadw yn l y drefn ysgrifenedig ers amser maith.
5So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem: for they had not kept it in great numbers in such sort as it is written.
6 Aeth negeswyr trwy holl Israel a Jwda, ar orchymyn y brenin, gyda llythyrau oddi wrtho ef a'i swyddogion, yn dweud, "Bobl Israel, dychwelwch at yr ARGLWYDD, Duw Abraham, Isaac ac Israel, ac fe ddychwel yntau at y gweddill ohonoch chwi a ddihangodd o law brenhinoedd Asyria.
6So the couriers went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, “You children of Israel, turn again to Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may return to the remnant that have escaped of you out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.
7 Peidiwch bod fel eich hynafiaid a'ch tylwyth, a droseddodd yn erbyn yr ARGLWYDD, Duw eu hynafiaid; oherwydd cawsant hwy eu hanrheithio, fel y gwelwch.
7Don’t be like your fathers, and like your brothers, who trespassed against Yahweh, the God of their fathers, so that he gave them up to desolation, as you see.
8 Yn awr, peidiwch bod yn ystyfnig fel eich hynafiaid, ond ymostyngwch i'r ARGLWYDD, a dewch i'w gysegr a gysegrodd ef yn dragywydd; gwasanaethwch yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw er mwyn iddo droi ei lid tanbaid oddi wrthych.
8Now don’t be stiff-necked, as your fathers were; but yield yourselves to Yahweh, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified forever, and serve Yahweh your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.
9 Oherwydd os dychwelwch at yr ARGLWYDD, caiff eich pobl a'ch plant drugaredd gan eu caethgludwyr, a dychwelyd i'r wlad hon; oblegid y mae'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw yn rasol a thrugarog, ac ni thry ei wyneb oddi wrthych os dychwelwch ato."
9For if you turn again to Yahweh, your brothers and your children shall find compassion before those who led them captive, and shall come again into this land: for Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.”
10 Aeth y negeswyr o ddinas i ddinas trwy wlad Effraim a Manasse hyd at Sabulon, ond cawsant eu gwatwar a'u gwawdio.
10So the couriers passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, even to Zebulun: but they ridiculed them, and mocked them.
11 Er hynny, cytunodd rhai o Aser, Manasse a Sabulon i ddod i Jerwsalem.
11Nevertheless certain men of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.
12 Bu llaw Duw ar Jwda hefyd yn annog y bobl i ufuddhau'n unfryd i orchymyn y brenin a'r swyddogion, yn unol gair yr ARGLWYDD.
12Also on Judah came the hand of God to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the princes by the word of Yahweh.
13 Daeth llawer iawn o bobl ynghyd i Jerwsalem yn yr ail fis i gadw gu373?yl y Bara Croyw; yr oedd yn gynulliad enfawr.
13Many people assembled at Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great assembly.
14 Dechreusant symud ymaith yr allorau oedd yn Jerwsalem, ac aethant 'r holl allorau arogldarth a'u taflu i nant Cidron.
14They arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron.
15 Yna, ar y pedwerydd dydd ar ddeg o'r ail fis, lladdasant oen y Pasg. Cywilyddiodd yr offeiriaid a'r Lefiaid am hyn; ac wedi iddynt ymgysegru, daethant phoethoffrymau i du375?'r ARGLWYDD.
15Then they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought burnt offerings into the house of Yahweh.
16 Safasant yn eu lle arferol yn l cyfraith Moses gu373?r Duw, a lluchiodd yr offeiriaid y gwaed a gawsant gan y Lefiaid.
16They stood in their place after their order, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood which they received of the hand of the Levites.
17 Am fod llawer yn y gynulleidfa heb ymgysegru, yr oedd y Lefiaid yn lladd oen y Pasg dros bawb halogedig, er mwyn eu cysegru i'r ARGLWYDD.
17For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves: therefore the Levites were in charge of killing the Passovers for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to Yahweh.
18 Oherwydd yr oedd nifer mawr o bobl, llawer ohonynt o Effraim, Manasse, Issachar a Sabulon, heb ymgysegru, ac felly'n bwyta'r Pasg yn groes i'r rheol. Ond gweddodd Heseceia drostynt a dweud,
18For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise than it is written. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, “May the good Yahweh pardon everyone
19 "Bydded i'r ARGLWYDD da faddau i bob un a roes ei fryd ar geisio Duw, sef ARGLWYDD Dduw ei dadau, er nad yw wedi gwneud hynny yn l defod puredigaeth y cysegr."
19who sets his heart to seek God, Yahweh, the God of his fathers, even if they aren’t clean according to the purification of the sanctuary.”
20 Gwrandawodd yr ARGLWYDD ar Heseceia, ac fe iachaodd y bobl.
20Yahweh listened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
21 Cadwodd yr Israeliaid oedd yn Jerwsalem u373?yl y Bara Croyw am saith diwrnod llawenydd mawr, ac yr oedd y Lefiaid a'r offeiriaid yn moliannu'r ARGLWYDD yn feunyddiol ag offer soniarus yn perthyn i'r ARGLWYDD.
21The children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness; and the Levites and the priests praised Yahweh day by day, singing with loud instruments to Yahweh.
22 Calonogodd Heseceia bob un o'r Lefiaid oedd yn gyfrifol am ddysgu ffyrdd daionus yr ARGLWYDD. Yna, am saith diwrnod yr u373?yl bu pawb yn gwledda, yn aberthu heddoffrymau ac yn diolch i ARGLWYDD Dduw eu hynafiaid.
22Hezekiah spoke comfortably to all the Levites who had good understanding in the service of Yahweh. So they ate throughout the feast for the seven days, offering sacrifices of peace offerings, and making confession to Yahweh, the God of their fathers.
23 Cytunodd yr holl gynulleidfa i gadw'r u373?yl am saith diwrnod arall, ac fe wnaethant hynny'n llawen.
23The whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days; and they kept another seven days with gladness.
24 Darparodd Heseceia brenin Jwda fil o fustych a saith mil o ddefaid i'r gynulleidfa, a rhoddodd y swyddogion fil o fustych a deng mil o ddefaid iddynt. Yna ymgysegrodd llawer iawn o'r offeiriaid.
24For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly for offerings one thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.
25 Llawenhaodd holl gynulleidfa Jwda, gyda'r offeiriaid, y Lefiaid, a'r holl gynulleidfa a ddaeth o Israel, gan gynnwys y dieithriaid oedd wedi dod o wlad Israel, a thrigolion Jwda.
25All the assembly of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the assembly who came out of Israel, and the foreigners who came out of the land of Israel, and who lived in Judah, rejoiced.
26 Felly bu llawenydd mawr yn Jerwsalem, na fu ei debyg yno er dyddiau Solomon fab Dafydd, brenin Israel.
26So there was great joy in Jerusalem; for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.
27 Yna safodd yr offeiriaid a'r Lefiaid i fendithio'r bobl; gwrandawodd Duw ar eu llef, ac esgynnodd eu gweddi i'w breswylfa sanctaidd yn y nefoedd.
27Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy habitation, even to heaven.
