Deuteronomy

18

1 Ni fydd gan yr offeiriaid o Lefiaid, na neb o lwyth Lefi, ran nac etifeddiaeth gydag Israel. Yr offrymau trwy dn i'r ARGLWYDD a fwyteir ganddynt fydd eu hetifeddiaeth.
1The priests the Levites, all the tribe of Levi, shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, and his inheritance.
2 Ni fydd ganddynt etifeddiaeth ymhlith eu cymrodyr; yr ARGLWYDD fydd eu hetifeddiaeth hwy, fel y dywedodd wrthynt.
2They shall have no inheritance among their brothers: Yahweh is their inheritance, as he has spoken to them.
3 Dyma fydd hawl yr offeiriaid oddi wrth y bobl sy'n offrymu aberth, prun ai eidion ynteu dafad: dylid rhoi i'r offeiriad yr ysgwydd, y ddwy foch a'r cylla.
3This shall be the priests’ due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep, that they shall give to the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.
4 Yr wyt i roi iddo flaenffrwyth dy u375?d, dy win newydd a'th olew, a'r cnu cyntaf wrth gneifio dy ddefaid;
4The first fruits of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep, you shall give him.
5 oherwydd allan o'th holl lwythau dewisodd yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw ef a'i ddisgynyddion i sefyll a gwasanaethu yn enw'r ARGLWYDD am byth.
5For Yahweh your God has chosen him out of all your tribes, to stand to minister in the name of Yahweh, him and his sons for ever.
6 Os bydd Lefiad, sy'n aros yn unrhyw un o'ch trefi trwy Israel gyfan, yn dod o'i wirfodd i'r man y bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn ei ddewis,
6If a Levite comes from any of your gates out of all Israel, where he lives as a foreigner, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which Yahweh shall choose;
7 caiff wasanaethu yn enw'r ARGLWYDD ei Dduw ymysg ei gyd-Lefiaid sy'n gwasanaethu'r ARGLWYDD yno.
7then he shall minister in the name of Yahweh his God, as all his brothers the Levites do, who stand there before Yahweh.
8 Caiff ran gyfartal i'w bwyta, heblaw'r hyn a gaiff o eiddo'i deulu.
8They shall have like portions to eat, besides that which comes of the sale of his patrimony.
9 Pan fyddi wedi dod i'r tir y mae'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn ei roi iti, paid dysgu gwneud yn l arferion ffiaidd y cenhedloedd hynny.
9When you have come into the land which Yahweh your God gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10 Nid yw neb yn eich mysg i roi ei fab na'i ferch yn aberth trwy dn; nac i arfer dewiniaeth, hudoliaeth, na darogan; nac i gonsurio,
10There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,
11 arfer swynion, ymwneud ag ysbrydion a bwganod, nac ymofyn 'r meirw.
11or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 Y mae unrhyw un sy'n ymhl 'r rhain yn ffiaidd gan yr ARGLWYDD; o achos yr arferion ffiaidd hyn y mae'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn eu gyrru hwy allan o'th flaen.
12For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh: and because of these abominations Yahweh your God does drive them out from before you.
13 Yr wyt i fod yn ddi-fai gerbron yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw.
13You shall be perfect with Yahweh your God.
14 Y mae'r cenhedloedd yr wyt yn eu disodli yn gwrando ar ddewiniaid a hudolwyr; ond nid yw'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn caniatu hyn i ti.
14For these nations, that you shall dispossess, listen to those who practice sorcery, and to diviners; but as for you, Yahweh your God has not allowed you so to do.
15 Bydd yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn codi o blith dy gymrodyr broffwyd fel fi, ac arno ef yr wyt i wrando,
15Yahweh your God will raise up to you a prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him.
16 oherwydd dyna oedd dy ddeisyfiad gan yr ARGLWYDD dy Dduw yn Horeb ar ddydd y cynulliad, pan ddywedaist, "Nid wyf am glywed llais yr ARGLWYDD fy Nuw rhagor, na gweld eto y tn mawr hwn, rhag imi farw."
16This is according to all that you desired of Yahweh your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, “Let me not hear again the voice of Yahweh my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die.”
17 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrthyf, "Y mae'r hyn a ddywedant yn iawn;
17Yahweh said to me, “They have well said that which they have spoken.
18 codaf iddynt o blith eu cymrodyr broffwyd fel ti, a rhof fy ngair yn ei enau, er mwyn iddo fynegi iddynt y cwbl y byddaf yn ei orchymyn iddo.
18I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.
19 A phwy bynnag fydd heb wrando ar fy ngeiriau, y bydd y proffwyd wedi eu llefaru yn f'enw, bydd yn atebol i mi am hynny.
19It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20 Ond am y proffwyd fydd yn rhyfygu llefaru yn f'enw air nad wyf fi wedi ei orchymyn, neu sy'n llefaru yn enw duw arall, y mae'r proffwyd hwnnw i farw."
20But the prophet, who shall speak a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.”
21 Os wyt yn gofyn i ti dy hun sut y mae adnabod y gair nad yw'r ARGLWYDD wedi ei lefaru:
21If you say in your heart, “How shall we know the word which Yahweh has not spoken?”
22 beth bynnag y bydd proffwyd yn ei lefaru yn enw'r ARGLWYDD, a hwnnw heb ei gyflawni na'i wireddu, y mae hwnnw yn air nad yw'r ARGLWYDD wedi ei lefaru; mewn rhyfyg y bu i'r proffwyd ei lefaru; paid 'i ofni.
22when a prophet speaks in the name of Yahweh, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken: the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you shall not be afraid of him.
