Deuteronomy

33

1 Dyma'r fendith ar blant Israel a gyhoeddodd Moses gu373?r Duw, cyn ei farw:
1This is the blessing, with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
2 Cododd yr ARGLWYDD o Sinai a gwawriodd arnynt o Seir; disgleiriodd o Fynydd Paran a dod myrddiynau o Cades, o'r de, o lethrau'r mynyddoedd.
2He said, “Yahweh came from Sinai, And rose from Seir to them. He shone forth from Mount Paran. He came from the ten thousands of holy ones. At his right hand was a fiery law for them.
3 Yn ddiau, y mae'n caru ei bobl, a'i holl saint sydd yn ei law; plygant yn isel wrth ei draed a derbyn ei ddysgeidiaeth,
3Yes, he loves the people. All his saints are in your hand. They sat down at your feet; each receives your words.
4 y gyfraith a orchmynnodd Moses inni, yn etifeddiaeth i gynulliad Jacob.
4Moses commanded us a law, An inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.
5 Gwnaed ef yn frenin ar Jesurun pan ymgasglodd penaethiaid y bobl, a phan ddaeth llwythau Israel ynghyd.
5He was king in Jeshurun, When the heads of the people were gathered, All the tribes of Israel together.
6 Bydded Reuben fyw, ac nid marw, ond na foed ei dylwyth yn niferus.
6“Let Reuben live, and not die; Nor let his men be few.”
7 A dyma a ddywedodd am Jwda: Clyw, O ARGLWYDD, lef Jwda, a dwg ef at ei bobl; 'i ddwylo yr ymdrechodd ond bydd di'n gymorth iddo rhag ei elynion.
7This is for Judah. He said, “Hear, Yahweh, the voice of Judah. Bring him in to his people. With his hands he contended for himself. You shall be a help against his adversaries.”
8 Dywedodd am Lefi: Rho i Lefi dy Twmim, a'th Wrim i'r un sy'n ffyddlon iti; fe'i profaist yn Massa, a dadlau ag ef wrth ddyfroedd Meriba.
8Of Levi he said, “Your Thummim and your Urim are with your godly one, whom you proved at Massah, with whom you strove at the waters of Meribah;
9 Fe ddywed am ei dad a'i fam, "Nid wyf yn eu hystyried", ac nid yw'n cydnabod ei frodyr nac yn arddel ei blant. Oherwydd bu'n cadw dy air ac yn gwarchod dy gyfamod.
9who said of his father, and of his mother, ‘I have not seen him;’ Neither did he acknowledge his brothers, Nor did he know his own children: For they have observed your word, and keep your covenant.
10 Y mae'n dysgu dy ddeddfau i Jacob a'th gyfraith i Israel. Y mae'n gosod arogldarth ger dy fron, a'r aberth llwyr ar dy allor.
10They shall teach Jacob your ordinances, and Israel your law. They shall put incense before you, and whole burnt offering on your altar.
11 Bendithia, O ARGLWYDD, ei wrhydri, a derbyn waith ei ddwylo. Dryllia lwynau'r rhai sy'n codi yn ei erbyn, ac eiddo'i gaseion, rhag iddynt godi eto.
11Yahweh, bless his substance. Accept the work of his hands. Strike through the hips of those who rise up against him, of those who hate him, that they not rise again.”
12 Dywedodd am Benjamin: Bydded i anwylyd yr ARGLWYDD fyw mewn diogelwch; bydded i'r Goruchaf gysgodi drosto trwy'r dydd, a gwneud ei drigfan rhwng ei lechweddau.
12Of Benjamin he said, “The beloved of Yahweh shall dwell in safety by him. He covers him all the day long. He dwells between his shoulders.”
13 Dywedodd am Joseff: Bydded i'w dir gael ei fendithio gan yr ARGLWYDD  ffrwyth gorau'r nef, y gwlith, a du373?r o'r dyfnder isod;
13Of Joseph he said, “His land is blessed by Yahweh, for the precious things of the heavens, for the dew, for the deep that couches beneath,
14  chynnyrch gorau'r haul, a thwf gorau'r misoedd;
14for the precious things of the fruits of the sun, for the precious things of the growth of the moons,
15 phrif gynnyrch y mynyddoedd hen, a ffrwythlondeb y bryniau oesol,
15for the chief things of the ancient mountains, for the precious things of the everlasting hills,
16 gorau'r ddaear a'i llawnder, a ffafr preswylydd y berth. Doed hyn i gyd ar ben Joseff, ar gopa'r un a neilltuwyd ymysg ei frodyr.
16for the precious things of the earth and its fullness, the good will of him who lived in the bush . Let this come on the head of Joseph, on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.
17 Boed ei ysblander fel eiddo'r ych blaenaf, a'i gyrn fel cyrn ych gwyllt; bydd yn cornio'r bobloedd hwy a'u gyrru hyd eithaf y ddaear. Rhai felly fydd myrddiynau Effraim, rhai felly fydd miloedd Manasse.
17The firstborn of his herd, majesty is his. His horns are the horns of the wild ox. With them he shall push all of the peoples, to the ends of the earth: They are the ten thousands of Ephraim. They are the thousands of Manasseh.”
18 Dywedodd am Sabulon: Llawenha, Sabulon, wrth fynd allan i ryfel, ac Issachar yn dy bebyll.
18Of Zebulun he said, “Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out; and Issachar, in your tents.
19 Galwant bobloedd allan i'r mynydd-dir, ac yno offrymu aberthau cywir. Yn wir, cnt sugno golud y mr, a thrysorau wedi eu cuddio yn y tywod.
19They shall call the peoples to the mountain. There they will offer sacrifices of righteousness, for they shall draw out the abundance of the seas, the hidden treasures of the sand.”
20 Dywedodd am Gad: Bendith ar yr hwn sy'n peri i Gad ymestyn! Y mae fel llew yn ei diriogaeth, yn rhwygo ymaith fraich a chorun.
20Of Gad he said, “He who enlarges Gad is blessed. He dwells as a lioness, and tears the arm, yes, the crown of the head.
21 Gofalodd am y gorau iddo'i hun; cadwyd cyfran llywodraethwr ar ei gyfer. Daeth phenaethiaid y bobl allan; gweithredodd gyfiawnder yr ARGLWYDD, a'i ddeddfau ynglu375?n ag Israel.
21He provided the first part for himself, for there was the lawgiver’s portion reserved. He came with the heads of the people. He executed the righteousness of Yahweh, His ordinances with Israel.”
22 Dywedodd am Dan: Cenau llew yw Dan, yn neidio allan o Basan.
22Of Dan he said, “Dan is a lion’s cub that leaps out of Bashan.”
23 Dywedodd am Nafftali: Cyflawn o hawddgarwch fydd Nafftali, a llawn o fendith yr ARGLWYDD; bydd ei etifeddiaeth at y mr ac i'r de.
23Of Naphtali he said, “Naphtali, satisfied with favor, full of the blessing of Yahweh, Possess the west and the south.”
24 Dywedodd am Aser: Bydded i Aser gael ei fendithio'n fwy na'r meibion eraill, a bod yn ffefryn gan ei frodyr, yn trochi ei droed mewn olew.
24Of Asher he said, “Asher is blessed with children. Let him be acceptable to his brothers. Let him dip his foot in oil.
25 Bydded dy farrau o haearn a phres, a'th gryfder yn cydredeg 'th ddyddiau.
25Your bars shall be iron and brass. As your days, so your strength will be.
26 Nid oes tebyg i Dduw Jesurun, sy'n marchogaeth trwy'r nef i'th gynorthwyo, ac ar y cymylau yn ei ogoniant.
26“There is none like God, Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens for your help, In his excellency on the skies.
27 Duw'r oesoedd yw dy noddfa, ac oddi tanodd y mae'r breichiau tragwyddol. Gyrrodd allan y gelyn o'th flaen, a dweud, "Difetha ef."
27The eternal God is your dwelling place. Underneath are the everlasting arms. He thrust out the enemy from before you, and said, ‘Destroy!’
28 Cafodd Israel fyw yn ddiogel, a Jacob drigo heb ymyrraeth, mewn gwlad o u375?d a gwin, a'i wybrennau'n diferu gwlith.
28Israel dwells in safety; the fountain of Jacob alone, In a land of grain and new wine. Yes, his heavens drop down dew.
29 Gwyn dy fyd, Israel! Pwy sydd debyg iti, yn bobl a waredir gan yr ARGLWYDD? Ef yw dy darian a'th gymorth, a chleddyf dy orfoledd hefyd. Bydd dy elynion yn ymostwng o'th flaen, a thithau'n sathru ar eu huchel-leoedd.
29You are happy, Israel. Who is like you, a people saved by Yahweh, the shield of your help, the sword of your excellency! Your enemies shall submit themselves to you. You shall tread on their high places.”
