Ezra

6

1 Yna, ar orchymyn y Brenin Dareius, chwiliwyd yn yr archifau ym Mabilon lle cedwid y dogfennau.
1Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in the house of the archives, where the treasures were laid up in Babylon.
2 Ac ym mhalas Ecbatana yn nhalaith Media cafwyd sgrl, a dyma'r cofnod oedd wedi ei ysgrifennu arni:
2There was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of Media, a scroll, and therein was thus written for a record:
3 "Ym mlwyddyn gyntaf ei deyrnasiad gorchmynnodd y Brenin Cyrus fel hyn am du375? Dduw yn Jerwsalem: Ailadeilader y tu375? yn lle i aberthu ac i ddwyn poethoffrymau.
3In the first year of Cyrus the king, Cyrus the king made a decree: Concerning God’s house at Jerusalem, let the house be built, the place where they offer sacrifices, and let its foundations be strongly laid; its height sixty cubits, and its breadth sixty cubits;
4 Ei uchder fydd trigain cufydd a'i led trigain cufydd, gyda thair rhes o gerrig mawr ac un rhes o goed newydd; taler y gost o'r drysorfa frenhinol.
4with three courses of great stones, and a course of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king’s house.
5 Hefyd, dychweler i'r deml yn Jerwsalem lestri aur ac arian tu375? Dduw, a ddygodd Nebuchadnesar o'r deml yn Jerwsalem a'u cludo i Fabilon; dychweler pob un i'w le priodol yn nhu375? Dduw."
5Also let the gold and silver vessels of God’s house, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought to Babylon, be restored, and brought again to the temple which is at Jerusalem, everyone to its place; and you shall put them in God’s house.
6 A dyfarniad y Brenin Dareius oedd: "Yn awr, Tatnai, llywodraethwr talaith Tu-hwnt-i'r-Ewffrates, a Seth-arbosnai a'ch cefnogwyr, penaethiaid Tu-hwnt-i'r-Ewffrates, cadwch draw oddi yno;
6Now therefore, Tattenai, governor beyond the River, Shetharbozenai, and your companions the Apharsachites, who are beyond the River, you must stay far from there.
7 peidiwch ag ymyrryd gwaith tu375? Dduw; gadewch i bennaeth yr Iddewon a'u henuriaid ailgodi tu375? Dduw ar ei hen safle.
7Leave the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in its place.
8 Ar fy ngorchymyn i, fel hyn yr ydych i gydweithredu henuriaid yr Iddewon i ailadeiladu tu375? Dduw: taler yn llawn ac yn ddiymdroi i'r dynion hyn dreth talaith Tu-hwnt-i'r-Ewffrates allan o'r drysorfa frenhinol.
8Moreover I make a decree what you shall do to these elders of the Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king’s goods, even of the tribute beyond the River, expenses be given with all diligence to these men, that they be not hindered.
9 Rhodder iddynt bob dydd yn ddi-feth beth bynnag sy'n angenrheidiol i aberthu i Dduw'r nefoedd teirw, hyrddod, defaid, gwenith, halen, gwin ac olew
9That which they have need of, both young bulls, and rams, and lambs, for burnt offerings to the God of heaven; also wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the word of the priests who are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail;
10 yn l gofynion yr offeiriaid yn Jerwsalem, fel y dygont ebyrth cymeradwy i Dduw'r nefoedd a gweddo dros y brenin a'i feibion.
10that they may offer sacrifices of pleasant aroma to the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.
11 Ac yr wyf yn gorchymyn, os bydd i unrhyw un ymyrryd 'r datganiad hwn, fod trawst i'w dynnu o'i du375? a'i godi, a'i fod yntau i'w grogi arno, a bod ei gartref i'w droi'n domen.
11Also I have made a decree, that whoever shall alter this word, let a beam be pulled out from his house, and let him be lifted up and fastened thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this:
12 A bydded i'r Duw sydd wedi gosod ei enw yno ddymchwel pob brenin a chenedl sy'n beiddio ymyrryd hyn neu'n dinistrio tu375?'r Duw hwn yn Jerwsalem. Myfi, Dareius, sy'n rhoi'r gorchymyn hwn; rhaid ei gadw'n fanwl."
12and the God who has caused his name to dwell there overthrow all kings and peoples who shall put forth their hand to alter the same, to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with all diligence.
13 Yna gwnaeth Tatnai, llywodraethwr talaith Tu-hwnt-i'r-Ewffrates, a Setharbosnai a'u cefnogwyr yn union fel yr oedd y Brenin Dareius wedi gorchymyn.
13Then Tattenai, the governor beyond the River, Shetharbozenai, and their companions, because Darius the king had sent a decree, did accordingly with all diligence.
14 Trwy gymorth proffwydoliaeth Haggai'r proffwyd a Sechareia fab Ido, llwyddodd henuriaid yr Iddewon gyda'r adeiladu, a'i orffen yn l gorchymyn Duw Israel a gorchymyn Cyrus a Dareius ac Artaxerxes brenin Persia.
14The elders of the Jews built and prospered, through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. They built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the decree of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
15 Gorffennwyd y tu375? hwn ar y trydydd o fis Adar, yn y chweched flwyddyn o deyrnasiad y Brenin Dareius.
15This house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.
16 A chysegrwyd tu375? Dduw mewn llawenydd gan yr Israeliaid, yr offeiriaid a'r Lefiaid a gweddill y rhai oedd wedi bod yn y gaethglud.
16The children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy.
17 Wrth gysegru tu375? Dduw, aberthwyd cant o deirw, dau gant o hyrddod, pedwar cant o u373?yn, a deuddeg bwch gafr, yn l nifer llwythau Israel, yn aberth dros bechod ar ran holl Israel.
17They offered at the dedication of this house of God one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.
18 Trefnwyd yr offeiriaid yn eu dosbarthiadau a'r Lefiaid yn eu hadrannau ar gyfer gwasanaethu Duw yn Jerwsalem, fel y mae'n ysgrifenedig yn llyfr Moses.
18They set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses, for the service of God, which is at Jerusalem; as it is written in the book of Moses.
19 Ac ar y pedwerydd dydd ar ddeg o'r mis cyntaf cadwodd y rhai oedd wedi bod yn y gaethglud y Pasg.
19The children of the captivity kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.
20 Am fod pob un o'r offeiriaid a'r Lefiaid wedi ei buro'i hun, a'u bod i gyd yn bur, aberthwyd y Pasg ar gyfer pawb a ddaeth o'r gaethglud, a'u cyd-offeiriaid a hwy eu hunain.
20For the priests and the Levites had purified themselves together; all of them were pure: and they killed the Passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their brothers the priests, and for themselves.
21 Bwytawyd y Pasg gan yr Israeliaid a ddychwelodd o'r gaethglud a chan bawb oedd wedi ymwahanu oddi wrth aflendid y bobloedd oddi amgylch ac wedi dod atynt i geisio ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel.
21The children of Israel who had come again out of the captivity, and all such as had separated themselves to them from the filthiness of the nations of the land, to seek Yahweh, the God of Israel, ate,
22 Ac am saith diwrnod cadwasant u373?yl y Bara Croyw mewn llawenydd, oherwydd i'r ARGLWYDD beri llawenydd iddynt trwy droi calon brenin Asyria tuag atynt i'w cynorthwyo yng ngwaith tu375? Dduw, Duw Israel.
22and kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for Yahweh had made them joyful, and had turned the heart of the king of Assyria to them, to strengthen their hands in the work of God’s house, the God of Israel.
