¹ Y gair a welodd Eseia fab Amos am Jwda a Jerwsalem:

¹This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

² Yn y dyddiau diwethaf bydd mynydd tu375?'r ARGLWYDD wedi ei osod yn ben ar y mynyddoedd ac yn uwch na'r bryniau. Dylifa'r holl genhedloedd ato,

²It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.

³ a daw pobloedd lawer, a dweud, "Dewch, esgynnwn i fynydd yr ARGLWYDD, i deml Duw Jacob; bydd yn dysgu i ni ei ffyrdd, a byddwn ninnau'n rhodio yn ei lwybrau." Oherwydd o Seion y daw'r gyfraith, a gair yr ARGLWYDD o Jerwsalem.

³Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.

⁴ Barna ef rhwng cenhedloedd, a thorri'r ddadl i bobloedd lawer; curant eu cleddyfau'n geibiau, a'u gwaywffyn yn grymanau. Ni chyfyd cenedl gleddyf yn erbyn cenedl, ac ni ddysgant ryfel mwyach.

⁴He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

⁵ Tu375? Jacob, dewch, rhodiwn yng ngoleuni'r ARGLWYDD.

⁶ Gwrthodaist du375? Jacob, dy bobl, oherwydd y maent yn llawn dewiniaid o'r dwyrain, a swynwyr fel y Philistiaid, ac y maent yn gwneud cyfeillion o estroniaid.

⁶For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east, with those who practice divination like the Philistines, and they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.

⁷ Y mae eu gwlad yn llawn o arian ac aur, ac nid oes terfyn ar eu trysorau; y mae eu gwlad yn llawn o feirch, ac nid oes terfyn ar eu cerbydau;

⁷Their land is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures. Their land also is full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots.

⁸ y mae eu gwlad yn llawn o eilunod; ymgrymant i waith eu dwylo, i'r hyn a wnaeth eu bysedd.

⁸Their land also is full of idols. They worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.

⁹ Am hynny y gostyngir y ddynoliaeth, ac y syrth pob un � paid � maddau iddynt.

⁹Man is brought low, and mankind is humbled; therefore don’t forgive them.

¹⁰ Ewch i'r graig, ymguddiwch yn y llwch rhag ofn yr ARGWYDD, a rhag ysblander ei fawrhydi ef.

¹⁰Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty.

¹¹ Fe syrth uchel drem y ddynoliaeth, a gostyngir balchder pob un; yr ARGLWYDD yn unig a ddyrchefir yn y dydd hwnnw.

¹¹The lofty looks of man will be brought low, the haughtiness of men will be bowed down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day.

¹² Canys y mae gan ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd ddydd yn erbyn pob un balch ac uchel, yn erbyn pob un dyrchafedig ac uchel,

¹²For there will be a day of Yahweh of Armies for all that is proud and haughty, and for all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low:

¹³ yn erbyn holl gedrwydd Lebanon, sy'n uchel a dyrchafedig; yn erbyn holl dderi Basan,

¹³For all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan,

¹⁴ yn erbyn yr holl fynyddoedd uchel ac yn erbyn pob bryn dyrchafedig;

¹⁴For all the high mountains, for all the hills that are lifted up,

¹⁵ yn erbyn pob tu373?r uchel ac yn erbyn pob magwyr gadarn;

¹⁵For every lofty tower, for every fortified wall,

¹⁶ yn erbyn holl longau Tarsis ac yn erbyn yr holl gychod pleser.

¹⁶For all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery.

¹⁷ Yna fe ddarostyngir uchel drem y ddynoliaeth, ac fe syrth balchder y natur ddynol. Yr ARGLWYDD yn unig a ddyrchefir yn y dydd hwnnw.

¹⁷The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹⁸ �'r eilunod heibio i gyd.

¹⁹ � pawb i holltau yn y creigiau ac i dyllau yn y ddaear, rhag ofn yr ARGLWYDD, a rhag ysblander ei fawrhydi ef, pan gyfyd i ysgwyd y ddaear.

¹⁹Men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.

²⁰ Yn y dydd hwnnw bydd pobl yn taflu eu heilunod arian a'r eilunod aur a wnaethant i'w haddoli, yn eu taflu i'r tyrchod daear a'r ystlumod;

²⁰In that day, men shall cast away their idols of silver, and their idols of gold, which have been made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

²¹ ac yn mynd i ogofeydd yn y creigiau ac i holltau yn y clogwyni, rhag ofn yr ARGLWYDD, a rhag ysblander ei fawrhydi ef, pan gyfyd i ysgwyd y ddaear.

²¹To go into the caverns of the rocks, and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.

²² Peidiwch � gwneud dim � meidrolyn sydd ag anadl yn ei ffroenau, canys pa werth sydd iddo?

²²Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he?
