1 Mi ganaf i'm hanwylyd ganig serch am ei winllan. Yr oedd gan f'anwylyd winllan ar fryncyn tra ffrwythlon;
1Let me sing for my well beloved a song of my beloved about his vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a very fruitful hill.
2 fe'i cloddiodd, a'i digaregu; fe'i plannodd 'r gwinwydd gorau; cododd du373?r yn ei chanol, a naddu gwinwryf ynddi. Disgwyliodd iddi ddwyn grawnwin, ond fe ddygodd rawn drwg.
2He dug it up, gathered out its stones, planted it with the choicest vine, built a tower in its midst, and also cut out a winepress therein. He looked for it to yield grapes, but it yielded wild grapes.
3 Yn awr, breswylwyr Jerwsalem, a chwi, bobl Jwda, barnwch rhyngof fi a'm gwinllan.
3“Now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.
4 Beth oedd i'w wneud i'm gwinllan, yn fwy nag a wneuthum? Pam, ynteu, pan ddisgwyliwn iddi ddwyn grawnwin, y dygodd rawn drwg?
4What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I looked for it to yield grapes, did it yield wild grapes?
5 Yn awr, mi ddywedaf wrthych beth a wnaf i'm gwinllan. Tynnaf ymaith ei chlawdd, ac fe'i difethir; chwalaf ei mur, ac fe'i sethrir dan draed;
5Now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard. I will take away its hedge, and it will be eaten up. I will break down its wall of it, and it will be trampled down.
6 gadawaf hi wedi ei difrodi; ni chaiff ei thocio na'i hofio; fe dyf ynddi fieri a drain, a gorchmynnaf i'r cymylau beidio glawio arni.
6I will lay it a wasteland. It won’t be pruned nor hoed, but it will grow briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it.”
7 Yn wir, gwinllan ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd yw tu375? Israel, a phobl Jwda yw ei blanhigyn dethol; disgwyliodd gael barn, ond cafodd drais; yn lle cyfiawnder fe gafodd gri.
7For the vineyard of Yahweh of Armies is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for justice, but, behold, oppression; for righteousness, but, behold, a cry of distress.
8 Gwae'r rhai sy'n cydio tu375? wrth du375?, sy'n chwanegu cae at gae nes llyncu pob man, a'ch gadael chwi'n unig yng nghanol y tir.
8Woe to those who join house to house, who lay field to field, until there is no room, and you are made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!
9 Tyngodd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd yn fy nghlyw, "Bydd plastai yn anghyfannedd, a thai helaeth a theg heb drigiannydd.
9In my ears, Yahweh of Armies says: “Surely many houses will be desolate, even great and beautiful, unoccupied.
10 Bydd deg cyfair o winllan yn dwyn un bath, a homer o had heb gynhyrchu dim ond un effa."
10For ten acres literally, ten yokes, or the amount of land that ten yokes of oxen can plow in one day, which is about 10 acres or 4 hectares. of vineyard shall yield one bath, 1 bath is about 22 litres or 5.8 U. S. gallons and a homer 1 homer is about 220 litres or 6 bushels of seed shall yield an ephah. 1 ephah is about 22 litres or 0.6 bushels or about 2 pecks)—only one tenth of what was sown. ”
11 Gwae'r rhai sy'n codi'n fore i ddilyn diod gadarn, ac sy'n oedi hyd yr hwyr nes i'r gwin eu cynhyrfu.
11Woe to those who rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; who stay late into the night, until wine inflames them!
12 Yn eu gwleddoedd fe geir y delyn a'r nabl, y tabwrdd a'r ffliwt a'r gwin; ond nid ystyriant waith yr ARGLWYDD nac edrych ar yr hyn a wnaeth.
12The harp, lyre, tambourine, and flute, with wine, are at their feasts; but they don’t respect the work of Yahweh, neither have they considered the operation of his hands.
13 Am hynny, caethgludir fy mhobl o ddiffyg gwybodaeth; bydd eu bonedd yn trengi o newyn a'u gwerin yn gwywo gan syched.
13Therefore my people go into captivity for lack of knowledge. Their honorable men are famished, and their multitudes are parched with thirst.
14 Am hynny, lledodd Sheol ei llwnc, ac agor ei cheg yn ddiderfyn; fe lyncir y bonedd a'r werin, ei thyrfa a'r sawl a ymffrostia ynddi.
14Therefore Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. has enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, their multitude, their pomp, and he who rejoices among them, descend into it.
15 Darostyngir gwreng a bonedd, a syrth llygad y balch;
15So man is brought low, mankind is humbled, and the eyes of the arrogant ones are humbled;
16 ond dyrchefir ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd mewn barn, a sancteiddir y Duw sanctaidd mewn cyfiawnder.
16but Yahweh of Armies is exalted in justice, and God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.
17 Yna bydd u373?yn yn pori fel yn eu cynefin, a'r mynnod geifr yn bwyta ymysg yr adfeilion.
17Then the lambs will graze as in their pasture, and strangers will eat the ruins of the rich.
18 Gwae'r rhai sy'n tynnu drygioni rheffynnau oferedd, a phechod megis rhaffau men,
18Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of falsehood, and wickedness as with cart rope;
19 y rhai sy'n dweud, "Brysied, prysured gyda'i orchwyl, inni gael gweld; doed pwrpas Sanct Israel i'r golwg, inni wybod beth yw."
19Who say, “Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it; and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, that we may know it!”
20 Gwae'r rhai sy'n galw drwg yn dda, a da yn ddrwg, sy'n gwneud tywyllwch yn oleuni, a goleuni yn dywyllwch, sy'n gwneud chwerw yn felys a melys yn chwerw.
20Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Gwae'r rhai sy'n ddoeth yn eu golwg eu hunain, ac yn gall yn eu tyb eu hunain.
21Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Gwae'r rhai sy'n arwyr wrth yfed gwin, ac yn gryfion wrth gymysgu diod gadarn,
22Woe to those who are mighty to drink wine, and champions at mixing strong drink;
23 y rhai sy'n cyfiawnhau'r euog am wobr, ac yn gwrthod cyfiawnder i'r cyfiawn.
23who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice for the innocent!
24 Am hynny, fel yr ysir y sofl gan dafod o dn ac y diflanna'r mn us yn y fflam, felly y pydra eu gwreiddyn ac y diflanna eu blagur fel llwch; am iddynt wrthod cyfraith ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, a dirmygu gair Sanct Israel.
24Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have rejected the law of Yahweh of Armies, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Am hynny enynnodd llid yr ARGLWYDD yn erbyn ei bobl, ac estynnodd ei law yn eu herbyn, a'u taro; fe grynodd y mynyddoedd, a gorweddai'r celanedd fel ysgarthion ar y strydoedd. Er hynny ni throdd ei lid ef, ac y mae'n dal i estyn allan ei law.
25Therefore Yahweh’s anger burns against his people, and he has stretched out his hand against them, and has struck them. The mountains tremble, and their dead bodies are as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is still stretched out.
26 Fe gyfyd faner i genhedloedd pell, a chwibana arnynt o eithaf y ddaear, ac wele, fe ddnt yn fuan a chwim.
26He will lift up a banner to the nations from far, and he will whistle for them from the end of the earth. Behold, they will come speedily and swiftly.
27 Nid oes neb yn blino nac yn baglu, nid oes neb yn huno na chysgu, nid oes neb a'i wregys wedi ei ddatod, nac a charrai ei esgidiau wedi ei thorri.
27None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the belt of their waist be untied, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
28 Y mae eu saethau'n llym a'u bwu i gyd yn dynn; y mae carnau eu meirch fel callestr, ac olwynion eu cerbydau fel corwynt.
28whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent. Their horses’ hoofs will be like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind.
29 Y mae eu rhuad fel llew; rhuant fel llewod ifanc, sy'n chwyrnu wrth afael yn yr ysglyfaeth a'i dwyn ymaith, heb neb yn ei harbed.
29Their roaring will be like a lioness. They will roar like young lions. Yes, they shall roar, and seize their prey and carry it off, and there will be no one to deliver.
30 Rhuant arni yn y dydd hwnnw, fel rhuad y mr; ac os edrychir tua'r tir, wele dywyllwch a chyfyngdra, a'r goleuni yn tywyllu gan ei gymylau.
30They will roar against them in that day like the roaring of the sea. If one looks to the land behold, darkness and distress. The light is darkened in its clouds.
