1 Yn nechrau teyrnasiad Sedeceia fab Joseia, brenin Jwda, daeth y gair hwn at Jeremeia oddi wrth yr ARGLWYDD.
1In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,
2 Fel hyn y dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD: "Gwna i ti rwymau a barrau iau, a'u gosod ar dy war;
2Thus says Yahweh to me: Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck;
3 ac anfon at frenhinoedd Edom, Moab, Ammon, Tyrus a Sidon, trwy law'r cenhadau a ddaw i Jerwsalem at Sedeceia brenin Jwda.
3and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah;
4 Gorchmynna iddynt ddweud hyn wrth eu meistriaid, 'Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, Duw Israel: Fel hyn y dywedwch wrth eich meistriaid:
4and give them a command to their masters, saying, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, You shall tell your masters:
5 "'m gallu mawr ac 'm braich estynedig gwneuthum y ddaear, a phobl, a'r anifeiliaid sydd ar wyneb y ddaear, a'u rhoi i'r sawl y gwelaf yn dda.
5I have made the earth, the men and the animals that are on the surface of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it to whom it seems right to me.
6 Yn awr, rhof y gwledydd hyn oll yn llaw fy ngwas Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon, a rhof hyd yn oed yr holl anifeiliaid gwyllt iddo ef i'w wasanaethu.
6Now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the animals of the field also have I given him to serve him.
7 Bydd yr holl genhedloedd yn ei wasanaethu ef a'i fab a mab ei fab, nes dod awr ei wlad yntau, a'i feistroli gan genhedloedd niferus a brenhinoedd mawrion.
7All the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondservant.
8 Os bydd cenedl neu deyrnas heb wasanaethu Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon, a heb roi ei gwar dan iau brenin Babilon, mi gosbaf y genedl honno 'r cleddyf a newyn a haint," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "nes imi ei dinistrio'n llwyr trwy ei law ef.
8It shall happen, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, says Yahweh, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
9But as for you, don’t you listen to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon:
10 Oherwydd proffwydant gelwydd i chwi, er mwyn eich gyrru ymhell o'ch tir, ac i mi eich alltudio ac i chwi drengi.
10for they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and you should perish.
11 Ond y genedl a rydd ei gwar dan iau brenin Babilon, a'i wasanaethu, gadawaf honno yn ei thir," medd yr ARGLWYDD; "caiff ei drin a thrigo ynddo."'"
11But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that nation will I let remain in their own land, says Yahweh; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
12 Lleferais wrth Sedeceia brenin Jwda hefyd yn unol 'r holl eiriau hyn, gan ddweud, "Rhowch eich gwar dan iau brenin Babilon, a'i wasanaethu ef a'i bobl, er mwyn ichwi gael byw.
12I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
13 Pam y byddwch farw, ti a'th bobl, trwy'r cleddyf a newyn a haint, yn l yr hyn a ddywedodd yr ARGLWYDD am y genedl na fydd yn gwasanaethu brenin Babilon?
13Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Yahweh has spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
14 Peidiwch gwrando ar eiriau'r proffwydi sy'n dweud wrthych, 'Ni fyddwch yn gwasanaethu brenin Babilon.' Oherwydd y maent yn proffwydo celwydd i chwi.
14Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.
15 Yn wir, nid myfi a'u hanfonodd," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "ond proffwydo'n gelwyddog y maent yn fy enw i, er mwyn i mi eich alltudio chwi ac i chwi drengi, chwi a'r proffwydi sy'n proffwydo i chwi."
15For I have not sent them, says Yahweh, but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you.
16 Yna lleferais wrth yr offeiriaid a'r holl bobl hyn, gan ddweud, "Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: 'Peidiwch  gwrando ar eiriau eich proffwydi sy'n proffwydo i chwi fod llestri tu375?'r ARGLWYDD i'w dwyn yn l o Fabilon yn awr ar fyrder. Y maent yn proffwydo celwydd i chwi;
16Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Yahweh’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.
17 peidiwch gwrando arnynt, ond gwasanaethwch frenin Babilon, er mwyn ichwi gael byw. Pam y bydd y ddinas hon yn anghyfannedd?
17Don’t listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: why should this city become a desolation?
18 Os proffwydi ydynt, ac os yw gair yr ARGLWYDD ganddynt, boed iddynt ymbil yn awr ar ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd rhag i'r llestri a adawyd yn nhu375?'r ARGLWYDD, ac yn nhu375? brenin Jwda ac yn Jerwsalem, fynd i Fabilon.'
18But if they be prophets, and if the word of Yahweh be with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.
19 "Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd ynghylch y colofnau, y mr a'r trolau, ac ynghylch gweddill y llestri a adawyd yn y ddinas hon,
19For thus says Yahweh of Armies concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that are left in this city,
20 heb eu cymryd ymaith gan Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon pan gaethgludodd Jechoneia fab Jehoiacim, brenin Jwda, o Jerwsalem i Fabilon, ynghyd holl uchelwyr Jwda a Jerwsalem.
20which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon didn’t take, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
21 Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, Duw Israel, ynghylch y llestri a adawyd yn nhu375?'r ARGLWYDD a thu375? brenin Jwda a Jerwsalem:
21yes, thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:
22 'I Fabilon y dygir hwy, ac yno y byddant hyd y dydd y ceisiaf fi hwy,' medd yr ARGLWYDD; 'yna fe'u cyrchaf a'u hadfer i'r lle hwn.'"
22They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be, until the day that I visit them, says Yahweh; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.
