1 Llefarodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses ac Aaron a dweud wrthynt,
1Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them,
2 "Dywedwch wrth bobl Israel, 'O'r holl anifeiliaid sy'n byw ar y ddaear, dyma'r rhai y cewch eu bwyta:
2“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.
3 unrhyw anifail sy'n hollti'r ewin ac yn ei fforchi i'r pen, a hefyd yn cnoi cil, cewch fwyta hwnnw.
3Whatever parts the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and chews the cud among the animals, that you may eat.
4 Y mae ambell un yn cnoi cil yn unig, ac un arall yn hollti'r ewin yn unig, ond nid ydych i fwyta'r rheini. Y mae'r camel yn cnoi cil, ond heb fforchi'r ewin, ac y mae'n aflan ichwi.
4“‘Nevertheless these you shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those who part the hoof: the camel, because he chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, he is unclean to you.
5 Y mae'r broch yn cnoi cil, ond heb fforchi'r ewin, ac y mae'n aflan ichwi.

6 Y mae'r ysgyfarnog yn cnoi cil, ond heb fforchi'r ewin, ac y mae'n aflan ichwi.
6The hare, because she chews the cud but doesn’t part the hoof, she is unclean to you.
7 Y mae'r mochyn yn hollti'r ewin ac yn ei fforchi i'r pen, ond heb gnoi cil, ac y mae'n aflan ichwi.
7The pig, because he has a split hoof, and is cloven-footed, but doesn’t chew the cud, he is unclean to you.
8 Nid ydych i fwyta eu cig na chyffwrdd �'u cyrff; y maent yn aflan ichwi.
8Of their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch; they are unclean to you.
9 "'O'r holl greaduriaid sy'n byw yn nu373?r y m�r neu'r afonydd, dyma'r rhai y cewch eu bwyta: pob un ac iddo esgyll neu gen, cewch fwyta hwnnw.
9“‘These you may eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, that you may eat.
10 Ond popeth sydd yn y moroedd neu'r afonydd heb esgyll na chen, boed yn ymlusgiad neu greadur arall sy'n byw yn y du373?r, y mae'n ffiaidd ichwi.
10All that don’t have fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are an abomination to you,
11 Gan eu bod yn ffiaidd ichwi, ni chewch fwyta eu cig, ac yr ydych i ffieiddio eu cyrff.
11and you detest them. You shall not eat of their flesh, and you shall detest their carcasses.
12 Y mae unrhyw beth yn y du373?r sydd heb esgyll na chen yn ffiaidd ichwi.
12Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters, that is an abomination to you.
13 "'Dyma'r adar sydd yn ffiaidd ichwi, ac na chewch eu bwyta am eu bod yn ffiaidd: yr eryr, y fwltur, eryr y m�r,
13“‘These you shall detest among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the vulture, and the black vulture,
14 y barcud, unrhyw fath o gudyll,
14and the red kite, any kind of black kite,
15 unrhyw fath o fr�n,
15any kind of raven,
16 yr estrys, y fr�n nos, yr wylan, ac unrhyw fath o hebog,
16the horned owl, the screech owl, and the gull, any kind of hawk,
17 y dylluan, y fulfran, y dylluan wen,
17the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl,
18 y gigfran, y pelican, y fwltur mawr,
18the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey,
19 y ciconia, unrhyw fath o gr�yr, y gornchwiglen a'r ystlum.
19the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe, and the bat.
20 "'Y mae unrhyw bryf adeiniog sy'n ymlusgo ar bedwar troed yn ffiaidd ichwi.
20“‘All flying insects that walk on all fours are an abomination to you.
21 Ond y mae rhai pryfed adeiniog sy'n ymlusgo ar bedwar troed y cewch eu bwyta: y rhai sydd � chymalau yn eu coesau i sboncio ar y ddaear.
21Yet you may eat these: of all winged creeping things that go on all fours, which have legs above their feet, with which to hop on the earth.
22 o'r rhain cewch fwyta unrhyw fath ar locust, ceiliog rhedyn, criciedyn neu sioncyn gwair.
22Even of these you may eat: any kind of locust, any kind of katydid, any kind of cricket, and any kind of grasshopper.
23 Ond y mae pob pryf adeiniog arall sy'n ymlusgo ar bedwar troed yn ffiaidd ichwi.
23But all winged creeping things which have four feet, are an abomination to you.
24 "'Byddwch yn eich halogi eich hunain trwy'r rhain; bydd unrhyw un sy'n cyffwrdd �'u cyrff yn aflan hyd yr hwyr.
24“‘By these you will become unclean: whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
25 Rhaid i unrhyw un sy'n gafael yn eu cyrff olchi ei ddillad, a bydd yn aflan hyd yr hwyr.
25Whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
26 "'Y mae unrhyw anifail sydd heb hollti'r ewin a'i fforchi i'r pen, a heb gnoi cil, yn aflan ichwi; bydd unrhyw un sy'n cyffwrdd �'u cyrff yn aflan.
26“‘Every animal which parts the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, nor chews the cud, is unclean to you. Everyone who touches them shall be unclean.
27 o'r holl greaduriaid sy'n cerdded ar eu pedwar, y mae'r rhai sy'n cerdded ar eu pawennau yn aflan i chwi; bydd unrhyw un sy'n cyffwrdd �'u cyrff yn aflan hyd yr hwyr.
27Whatever goes on its paws, among all animals that go on all fours, they are unclean to you. Whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
28 Rhaid i unrhyw un sy'n gafael yn eu cyrff olchi ei ddillad, a bydd yn aflan hyd yr hwyr; y maent yn aflan ichwi.
28He who carries their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. They are unclean to you.
29 "'O'r creaduriaid sy'n ymlusgo ar y ddaear, y mae'r rhain yn aflan ichwi: y wenci, y llygoden, pob math ar lysard,
29“‘These are they which are unclean to you among the creeping things that creep on the earth: the weasel, the rat, any kind of great lizard,
30 y geco, y llyffant, y genau-goeg, y lysard melyn a'r fadfall.
30the gecko, and the monitor lizard, the wall lizard, the skink, and the chameleon.
31 o'r rhai sy'n ymlusgo ar y ddaear, dyna'r rhai sy'n aflan ichwi; bydd unrhyw un sy'n cyffwrdd � hwy wedi iddynt farw yn aflan hyd yr hwyr.
31These are they which are unclean to you among all that creep. Whoever touches them when they are dead, shall be unclean until the evening.
32 A bydd unrhyw beth y syrth un ohonynt arno wedi iddo farw, yn aflan, boed o goed, brethyn, croen neu sachliain, i ba beth bynnag y defnyddir ef; rhaid ei roi mewn du373?r, a bydd yn aflan hyd yr hwyr; yna bydd yn l�n.
32On whatever any of them falls when they are dead, it shall be unclean; whether it is any vessel of wood, or clothing, or skin, or sack, whatever vessel it is, with which any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the evening; then it will be clean.
33 Os syrth un ohonynt i lestr pridd, bydd popeth sydd ynddo yn aflan a rhaid torri'r llestr.
33Every earthen vessel, into which any of them falls, all that is in it shall be unclean, and you shall break it.
34 Y mae unrhyw fwyd y gellir ei fwyta, ond sydd � du373?r o'r llestri arno, yn aflan; ac y mae unrhyw ddiod y gellir ei hyfed o'r llestr yn aflan.
34All food which may be eaten, that on which water comes, shall be unclean; and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.
35 Y mae unrhyw beth y syrth rhan o'u cyrff arno yn aflan, a rhaid ei ddryllio, boed ffwrn neu badell, gan ei fod yn aflan, ac yr ydych i'w ystyried yn aflan.
35Everything whereupon part of their carcass falls shall be unclean; whether oven, or range for pots, it shall be broken in pieces: they are unclean, and shall be unclean to you.
36 Eto y mae ffynnon neu bydew i gronni du373?r yn l�n; y peth sy'n cyffwrdd �'u cyrff sy'n aflan.
36Nevertheless a spring or a cistern in which water is a gathered shall be clean: but that which touches their carcass shall be unclean.
37 Os bydd un o'r cyrff yn disgyn ar unrhyw had sydd i'w blannu, y mae'n l�n;
37If part of their carcass falls on any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean.
38 ond os bydd du373?r ar yr had a'r corff yn disgyn arno, bydd yn aflan ichwi.
38But if water is put on the seed, and part of their carcass falls on it, it is unclean to you.
39 "'Os bydd un o'r anifeiliaid y cewch eu bwyta yn marw, bydd unrhyw un sy'n cyffwrdd �'i gorff yn aflan hyd yr hwyr;
39“‘If any animal, of which you may eat, dies; he who touches its carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
40 rhaid i unrhyw un sy'n bwyta peth o'r corff olchi ei ddillad, a bydd yn aflan hyd yr hwyr; rhaid i unrhyw un sy'n gafael yn y corff olchi ei ddillad, a bydd yn aflan hyd yr hwyr.
40He who eats of its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. He also who carries its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
41 "'Y mae unrhyw ymlusgiad sy'n ymlusgo ar y ddaear yn ffiaidd; ni ddylid ei fwyta.
41“‘Every creeping thing that creeps on the earth is an abomination. It shall not be eaten.
42 Peidiwch � bwyta unrhyw ymlusgiad sy'n ymlusgo ar y ddaear, boed yn symud ar ei dor, neu'n cerdded ar bedwar troed neu ar amryw draed; y mae'n ffiaidd.
42Whatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, even all creeping things that creep on the earth, them you shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
43 Peidiwch �'ch gwneud eich hunain yn ffiaidd trwy'r un o'r ymlusgiaid sy'n ymlusgo; a pheidiwch �'ch halogi eich hunain trwyddynt na'ch cael yn aflan o'u plegid.
43You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps, neither shall you make yourselves unclean with them, that you should be defiled thereby.
44 Myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw; ymgysegrwch a byddwch sanctaidd, oherwydd sanctaidd wyf fi. Peidiwch �'ch halogi eich hunain trwy'r un o'r ymlusgiaid sy'n ymlusgo ar y ddaear.
44For I am Yahweh your God. Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am holy: neither shall you defile yourselves with any kind of creeping thing that moves on the earth.
45 Myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD a ddaeth � chwi i fyny o'r Aifft i fod yn Dduw ichwi; byddwch sanctaidd, oherwydd sanctaidd wyf fi.
45For I am Yahweh who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
46 "'Dyma'r ddeddf ynglu375?n �'r anifeiliaid, yr adar, y creaduriaid byw sy'n llusgo trwy'r dyfroedd a'r creaduriaid sy'n ymlusgo ar y ddaear,
46“‘This is the law of the animal, and of the bird, and of every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth,
47 er mwyn ichwi wahaniaethu rhwng yr aflan a'r gl�n, a rhwng y creaduriaid byw y gellir eu bwyta a'r rhai na ellir eu bwyta.'"
47to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing that may not be eaten.’”
