¹ Ar y dydd cyntaf o'r ail fis yn yr ail flwyddyn wedi i'r Israeliaid ddod allan o wlad yr Aifft, llefarodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses ym mhabell y cyfarfod yn anialwch Sinai, a dweud,

² "Gwnewch gyfrifiad o holl gynulliad pobl Israel yn �l eu tylwythau a'u teuluoedd, gan restru enw pob gwryw fesul un.

²“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one;

³ Yr wyt ti ac Aaron i gyfrif, fesul mintai, bawb yn Israel sy'n ugain oed a throsodd ac yn abl i fynd i ryfel.

³from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their divisions.

⁴ Gyda chwi bydd un dyn o bob llwyth, sef y penteulu.

⁴With you there shall be a man of every tribe; everyone head of his fathers’ house.

⁵ Dyma enwau'r dynion a fydd gyda chwi. O Reuben: Elisur fab Sedeur;

⁵These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.

⁶ o Simeon: Selumiel fab Surisadai;

⁶Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

⁷ o Jwda: Nahson fab Amminadab;

⁷Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

⁸ o Issachar: Nethanel fab Suar;

⁸Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.

⁹ o Sabulon: Eliab fab Helon.

⁹Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon.

¹⁰ O feibion Joseff: o Effraim, Elisama fab Ammihud, ac o Manasse, Gamaliel fab Pedasur;

¹⁰Of the children of Joseph: Of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud. Of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

¹⁶ Dyma'r rhai a ddewiswyd o'r cynulliad yn arweinwyr llwythau eu hynafiaid ac yn benaethiaid ar dylwythau Israel.

¹⁶These are those who were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.

¹⁷ Cymerodd Moses ac Aaron y dynion hyn y rhoddwyd eu henwau,

¹⁸ ac ar y dydd cyntaf o'r ail fis casglwyd ynghyd yr holl gynulliad. Rhestrwyd y bobl yn �l eu tylwythau a'u teuluoedd, a rhifwyd fesul un bawb oedd yn ugain oed a throsodd.

¹⁸They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one.

¹⁹ Felly, cyfrifodd Moses hwy yn anialwch Sinai, fel yr oedd yr ARGLWYDD wedi gorchymyn iddo.

¹⁹As Yahweh commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

²⁰ O dylwyth Reuben, cyntafanedig Israel, rhestrwyd fesul un, yn �l cenedlaethau eu tylwythau a'u teuluoedd, enw pob gwryw ugain oed a throsodd ac yn abl i fynd i ryfel.

²⁰The children of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

²¹ Nifer llwyth Reuben oedd pedwar deg chwech o filoedd a phum cant.

²¹those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand five hundred.

²² O dylwyth Simeon, rhestrwyd fesul un, yn �l cenedlaethau eu tylwythau a'u teuluoedd, enw pob gwryw ugain oed a throsodd ac yn abl i fynd i ryfel.

²²Of the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, those who were numbered of it, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

²³ Nifer llwyth Simeon oedd pum deg naw o filoedd a thri chant.

²³those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.

²⁴ O dylwyth Gad, rhestrwyd fesul un, yn �l cenedlaethau eu tylwythau a'u teuluoedd, enw pob gwryw ugain oed a throsodd ac yn abl i fynd i ryfel.

²⁴Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

²⁵ Nifer llwyth Gad oedd pedwar deg pump o filoedd chwe chant a phum deg.

²⁵those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.

²⁶ O dylwyth Jwda, rhestrwyd fesul un, yn �l cenedlaethau eu tylwythau a'u teuluoedd, enw pob gwryw ugain oed a throsodd ac yn abl i fynd i ryfel.

²⁶Of the children of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

²⁷those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Judah, were sixty-four thousand six hundred.

⁴¹those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand five hundred.

⁴² O dylwyth Nafftali, rhestrwyd fesul un, yn �l cenedlaethau eu tylwythau a'u teuluoedd, enw pob gwryw ugain oed a throsodd ac yn abl i fynd i ryfel.

⁴²Of the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war;

⁴³ Nifer llwyth Nafftali oedd pum deg tair o filoedd a phedwar cant.

⁴³those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.

⁴⁴ Dyma'r rhai a gyfrifwyd gan Moses ac Aaron gyda chymorth arweinwyr Israel, deuddeg ohonynt, pob un yn cynrychioli tu375? ei hynafiaid.

⁴⁴These are those who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: they were each one for his fathers’ house.

⁴⁵ Gwnaed cyfrif o bobl Israel, yn �l eu teuluoedd, gan gynnwys pawb oedd yn ugain oed a throsodd ac yn abl i fynd i ryfel;

⁴⁵So all those who were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel;

⁴⁶ y cyfanswm oedd chwe chant a thair o filoedd pum cant a phum deg.

⁴⁶even all those who were numbered were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

⁴⁷ Ond ni rifwyd y Lefiaid yn �l llwythau eu hynafiaid ymysg pobl Israel,

⁴⁷But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

⁴⁸ oherwydd yr oedd yr ARGLWYDD wedi dweud wrth Moses,

⁴⁸For Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

⁴⁹ "Paid � chyfrif llwyth Lefi, na'u cynnwys mewn cyfrifiad o bobl Israel;

⁴⁹“Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, neither shall you take a census of them among the children of Israel;

⁵⁰ ond penoda'r Lefiaid i ofalu am babell y dystiolaeth, ei holl ddodrefn, a phopeth a berthyn iddi. Hwy sydd i gludo'r babell a'i holl ddodrefn, a hwy sydd i ofalu amdani a gwersyllu o'i hamgylch.

⁵⁰but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle, and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.

⁵¹ Pan fydd yn amser symud y babell, y Lefiaid fydd yn ei thynnu i lawr; a phan fydd yn amser i aros, y Lefiaid fydd yn ei chodi. Rhodder i farwolaeth unrhyw un arall a ddaw ar ei chyfyl.

⁵¹When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

⁵² Bydd pobl Israel yn gwersyllu yn �l eu minteioedd, pob un yn ei wersyll ei hun a than ei faner ei hun.

⁵²The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.

⁵³ Ond bydd y Lefiaid yn gwersyllu o amgylch pabell y dystiolaeth, rhag i ddigofaint ddod yn erbyn cynulliad pobl Israel; bydd pabell y dystiolaeth dan ofal y Lefiaid."

⁵³But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”

⁵⁴ Gwnaeth pobl Israel y cyfan a orchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses.

⁵⁴Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so they did.
