¹Many times they have afflicted me from my youth up. Let Israel now say,

² lawer gwaith o'm hieuenctid buont yn ymosod arnaf, ond heb erioed fod yn drech na mi.

²many times they have afflicted me from my youth up, yet they have not prevailed against me.

³ Y mae'r arddwyr wedi aredig fy nghefn gan dynnu cwysau hirion.

³The plowers plowed on my back. They made their furrows long.

⁴ Ond y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn gyfiawn; torrodd raffau'r rhai drygionus.

⁴Yahweh is righteous. He has cut apart the cords of the wicked.

⁵ Bydded i'r holl rai sy'n cas�u Seion gywilyddio a chilio'n �l;

⁵Let them be disappointed and turned backward, all those who hate Zion.

⁶ byddant fel glaswellt pen to, sy'n crino cyn iddo flaguro �

⁶Let them be as the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up;

⁷ ni leinw byth law'r medelwr, na gwneud coflaid i'r rhwymwr,

⁷with which the reaper doesn’t fill his hand, nor he who binds sheaves, his bosom.

⁸ ac ni ddywed neb wrth fynd heibio, "Bendith yr ARGLWYDD arnoch! Bendithiwn chwi yn enw'r ARGLWYDD."

⁸Neither do those who go by say, “The blessing of Yahweh be on you. We bless you in the name of Yahweh.”
