1 {cf2 (12:18) (}Ac yna safodd ar dywod y mr.{cf2 )} A gwelais fwystfil yn codi o'r mr, a chanddo ddeg corn a saith ben, ac ar ei gyrn ddeg diadem, ac ar bob un o'i bennau enw cableddus.
1Then I stood on the sand of the sea. I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads. On his horns were ten crowns, and on his heads, blasphemous names.
2 Yr oedd y bwystfil a welais yn debyg i lewpard, ond ei draed fel traed arth a'i enau fel genau llew. A rhoddodd y ddraig iddo ei gallu a'i gorsedd ac awdurdod mawr.
2The beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.
3 Yr oedd un o'i bennau fel pe bai wedi cael ergyd farwol, ond yr oedd ei glwyf marwol wedi ei iachu. Aeth yr holl fyd ar l y bwystfil yn llawn rhyfeddod,
3One of his heads looked like it had been wounded fatally. His fatal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled at the beast.
4 ac addoli'r ddraig am iddi roi'r awdurdod i'r bwystfil, ac addoli'r bwystfil hefyd gan ddweud, "Pwy sydd debyg i'r bwystfil, a phwy all ryfela yn ei erbyn ef?"
4They worshiped the dragon, because he gave his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
5 Rhoddwyd i'r bwystfil enau i draethu ymffrost a chabledd, a rhoddwyd iddo awdurdod i weithredu am ddeufis a deugain.
5A mouth speaking great things and blasphemy was given to him. Authority to make war for forty-two months was given to him.
6 Agorodd ei enau mewn cabledd yn erbyn Duw, i gablu ei enw a'i breswylfa ef, sef y rhai sy'n preswylio yn y nef.
6He opened his mouth for blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his dwelling, those who dwell in heaven.
7 Rhoddwyd hawl iddo hefyd i ryfela yn erbyn y saint a'u gorchfygu hwy, a rhoddwyd iddo awdurdod ar bob llwyth a phobl ac iaith a chenedl.
7It was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. Authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation was given to him.
8 Bydd holl drigolion y ddaear yn ei addoli ef, pob un nad yw ei enw'n ysgrifenedig er seiliad y byd yn llyfr bywyd yr Oen a laddwyd.
8All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been killed.
9 Os oes gan rywun glust, gwrandawed:
9If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
10 "Os yw rhywun i'w gaethiwo, fe'i caethiwir. Os yw rhywun i'w ladd 'r cleddyf, fe'i lleddir 'r cleddyf." Yma y mae angen dyfalbarhad a ffydd y saint.
10If anyone is to go into captivity, he will go into captivity. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, he must be killed. TR reads “If anyone leads into captivity, into captivity he goes. If anyone will kill with the sword, he must be killed with a sword.” instead of “If anyone has captivity, he will go into captivity. If anyone is with the sword, he must be killed.” Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.
11 Gwelais fwystfil arall yn codi allan o'r ddaear, ac yr oedd ganddo ddau gorn fel oen, ond yn llefaru fel draig.
11I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon.
12 Yr oedd ganddo holl awdurdod y bwystfil cyntaf, i'w arfer ar ei ran. Gwnaeth i'r ddaear a'i thrigolion addoli'r bwystfil cyntaf, hwnnw yr iachawyd ei glwyf marwol.
12He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. He makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed.
13 Gwnaeth arwyddion mawr, gan beri hyd yn oed i dn ddisgyn o'r nef i'r ddaear gerbron pawb.
13He performs great signs, even making fire come down out of the sky to the earth in the sight of people.
14 Twyllodd drigolion y ddaear trwy'r arwyddion y rhoddwyd iddo hawl i'w cyflawni ar ran y bwystfil, gan ddweud wrth drigolion y ddaear am wneud delw i'r bwystfil a glwyfwyd 'r cleddyf ac a ddaeth yn fyw.
14He deceives my own NU omits “my own” people who dwell on the earth because of the signs he was granted to do in front of the beast; saying to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who had the sword wound and lived.
15 Rhoddwyd iddo hawl i roi anadl i ddelw'r bwystfil, er mwyn i ddelw'r bwystfil lefaru a pheri lladd pob un nad addolai ddelw'r bwystfil.
15It was given to him to give breath to it, to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause as many as wouldn’t worship the image of the beast to be killed.
16 Parodd y bwystfil i bawb, yn fach a mawr, yn gyfoethog a thlawd, yn rhydd a chaeth, dderbyn nod ar eu llaw dde neu ar eu talcen,
16He causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands, or on their foreheads;
17 ac nid oedd neb i allu prynu neu werthu ond y sawl yr oedd ganddo'r nod, sef enw'r bwystfil neu rif ei enw.
17and that no one would be able to buy or to sell, unless he has that mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18 Yma y mae angen doethineb: bydded i'r sawl sydd ganddo ddeall ystyried rhif y bwystfil, oherwydd rhif rhywun dynol ydyw; a'i rif ef yw chwe chant chwe deg a chwech.
18Here is wisdom. He who has understanding, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is six hundred sixty-six.
