1از من پیروی کنید همان طور که من از مسیح پیروی می کنم.
1Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
2اکنون باید شما را تعریف کنم زیرا همیشه به یاد من هستید و از آن تعالیمی که به شما سپردم، پیروی می کنید.
2Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
3اما می خواهم بدانید که سر هر مرد مسیح است و سر هر زن شوهر اوست و سر مسیح خداست.
3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4پس مردی که با سر پوشیده دعا کند یا پیامی از طرف خدا بیاورد، سر خود یعنی مسیح را رسوا می سازد.
4Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5همچنین زنی که با سر نپوشیده دعا کند یا پیامی از خدا بیاورد، سر خود یعنی شوهرش را رسوا ساخته و با زنی که سرش تراشیده شده، هیچ فرقی ندارد.
5But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6اگر پوشانیدن یا نپوشانیدن سر برای زنی مهم نیست، پس سر خود را هم بتراشد و اگر تراشیدن موی سر برای زن رسوایی به بار می آورد، بهتر است که سر او هم پوشیده باشد.
6For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7لازم نیست که مرد سر خود را بپوشاند زیرا او صورت و جلال خدا را منعکس می سازد. اما زن، جلال مرد است؛
7For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8زیرا مرد از زن آفریده نشد، بلکه زن از مرد به وجود آمد
8For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
9و مرد نیز بخاطر زن آفریده نشد، بلکه زن برای مرد خلق شد.
9Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10به این جهت و همچنین بخاطر فرشتگان زن باید سر خود را بپوشاند تا نشان دهد که تحت فرمان است.
10For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
11به هر حال در خداوند زن از مرد یا مرد از زن بی نیاز نیست.
11Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12زیرا چنانکه زن از مرد به وجود آمد، مرد از زن متولد می شود. نه تنها هر دوی آن ها بلکه همه چیز متعلق به خداست.
12For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
13خود تان قضاوت کنید ـ آیا شایسته است که زن با سر نپوشیده در پیشگاه خدا دعا کند؟
13Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
14مگر خود طبیعت به شما نمی آموزد، که موی دراز برای مرد شرم آور است؟
14Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
15اما برعکس، موی دراز زن، مایۀ افتخار اوست و برای این به او داده شده است تا با آن سر خود را بپوشاند.
15But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
16اگر کسی بخواهد در این خصوص مجادله کند، تنها چیزی که به او می گویم این است که ما و کلیساهای خدا روش دیگری غیر از این نداریم.
16But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
17ولی در مورد دستورات زیر، شما را تعریف نمی کنم، زیرا وقتی دور هم جمع می شوید، نتیجۀ آن نه تنها به فایده شما نیست، بلکه به زیان شماست.
17Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18اولاً می شنوم هنگامی که به صورت کلیسا دور هم جمع می شوید، به دسته های مختلف تقسیم می گردید و این را تا اندازه ای باور می کنیم
18For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
19زیرا شکی نیست که باید در میان شما دسته هایی بوجود آید تا اشخاص صمیمی شناخته شوند.
19For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
20وقتی دور هم جمع می شوید، برای خوردن شام خداوند نیست،
20When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.
21زیرا در هنگام خوردن هر کسی با عجله شام خود را می خورد و در نتیجه عده ای گرسنه می مانند در حالی که دیگران مست می شوند.
21For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
22آیا خانه ای ندارید که در آن بخورید و بنوشید؟ آیا به این وسیله می خواهید کلیسای خدا را حقیر بشمارید و اعضای نیازمند را خجل سازید؟ به شما چه بگویم؟ آیا می توانم در این امر شما را آفرین بگویم؟ هرگز نه!
22What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
23تعالیمی را که به شما دادم، از خود خداوند گرفتم و آن این بود که عیسی خداوند در شبی که تسلیم دشمنان شد، نان را گرفت
23For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24و بعد از شکرگزاری آن را پاره کرده گفت: «این است بدن من برای شما. این را به یاد من بجا آورید.»
24And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25همان طور پس از شام پیاله را نیز برداشته گفت: «این پیاله همان عهد و پیمان نوی است که با خون من بسته می شود. هرگاه این را می نوشید به یاد من بنوشید.»
25After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26زیرا تا وقت آمدن خداوند هرگاه این نان را بخورید و پیاله را بنوشید، مرگ او را اعلام می کنید.
26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
27بنابراین اگر کسی بطور ناشایست نان را بخورد و پیاله را بنوشد، نسبت به بدن و خون خداوند مرتکب خطا خواهد شد.
27Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28بنابراین هرکس خود را بیازماید، آن وقت از آن نان بخورد و از آن پیاله بنوشد،
28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29زیرا کسی که معنی و مفهوم بدن مسیح را درک نکند و از آن بخورد و بنوشد، با خوردن و نوشیدن آن خود را ملامت می سازد.
29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
30به همین سبب است که بسیاری از شما ضعیف و مریض هستید و عده ای نیز مرده اند.
30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31اما اگر اول خود را می آزمودیم ملامت نمی شدیم.
31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32ولی خداوند ما را داوری و تنبیه می کند تا با دنیا محکوم نگردیم.
32But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
33پس ای برادران، هر وقت برای خوردن شام خداوند دور هم جمع می شوید، منتظر یکدیگر باشید.و اگر کسی گرسنه است، در منزل خود غذا بخورد. مبادا جمع شدن شما باعث حکم شدن شما شود و در خصوص مطالب دیگر، هر وقت به آنجا بیایم آن ها را حل و فصل خواهم کرد.
33Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
34و اگر کسی گرسنه است، در منزل خود غذا بخورد. مبادا جمع شدن شما باعث حکم شدن شما شود و در خصوص مطالب دیگر، هر وقت به آنجا بیایم آن ها را حل و فصل خواهم کرد.
34And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
