¹«شایعات غلط را انتشار نده و با شهادت دروغ از مردم بد پشتیبانی نکن

¹Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

²در انجام کارهای خلاف همرنگ جماعت نشو و در موقع دعوا، بخاطر پیروی از اکثریت، شهادت دروغ نده و حق و عدالت را پایمال نکن.

²Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

³در محاکمۀ یک شخص فقیر، بخاطر اینکه فقیر است از او طرفداری نکن.

³Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.

⁴اگر گاو یا گوسفند دشمن خود را دیدی که گم شده است، آنرا برایش پس ببر.

⁴If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.

⁵اگر دیدی که الاغ دشمنت زیر بار سنگین مانده است، بی اعتنا از کنار آن تیر نشو، بلکه به او کمک کن تا الاغش بپا بایستد.

⁵If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.

⁶اگر با شخص فقیری دعوا داشته باشی، بخاطری که فقیر است عدالت را پایمال نکن.

⁶Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.

⁷تهمت ناروا به کسی نزن و نگذار که شخص بیگناهی به قتل برسد. چونکه من از گناه اشخاص گناهکار چشم پوشی نمی کنم.

⁷Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

⁸از گرفتن رشوه خود داری کن زیرا رشوه چشم مردم را کور می کند و سخنان مردم درستکار را خلاف نشان می دهد.

⁸And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

⁹کسی را که بیگانه است آزار نده. چون خودت در مصر بیگانه بودی و از حال بیگانگان خبر داری.»

⁹Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

¹⁰«شش سال در زمین خود زراعت کنید و محصول آن را ذخیره نمائید.

¹⁰And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:

¹¹اما در سال هفتم در آن چیزی نکارید. بگذارید که مردمان فقیر قوم شما هرچه که در آن می روید درو کنند و بخورند آنچه را هم که از آن ها باقی می ماند، حیوانات وحشی بخورند. در مورد تاکستان و درختان زیتون خود هم همین طور عمل کنید.

¹¹But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.

¹²هفتۀ شش روز کار کنید، اما در روز هفتم از کار دست بکشید تا غلامان و بیگانگانی که برای شما کار می کنند و همچنین حیوانات شما استراحت کنند.

¹²Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

¹³به آنچه من، که خداوند هستم به شما گفتم گوش بدهید. خدایان دیگر را پرستش نکنید و حتی نام آن ها را بر زبان نیاورید.»

¹³And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

¹⁴«هر سال سه مرتبه به احترام من عید را برگزار کنید:

¹⁴Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.

¹⁵اول: عید فطیر، قراریکه قبلاً هدایت داده ام، در این هفت روز نان فطیر بخور. این عید را همیشه در ماه ابیب برگزار کن، زیرا در همین ماه بود که از مصر خارج شدی. در این عید هیچ کس نباید دست خالی به حضور من بیاید.

¹⁵Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

¹⁶دوم: عید سایبانها موقعی است که میوۀ نو محصولات خود را که در مزرعه ات کاشته ای درو می کنی. سوم: عید برداشت محصول، یعنی آخر سال، موقعی که تمام محصولات خود را جمع می کنی.

¹⁶And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labors, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labors out of the field.

¹⁷هر سال سه مرتبه تمام افراد ذکور باید برای پرستش من، که خداوند، خدای شما هستم، حاضر شوند.

¹⁷Three items in the year all thy males shall appear before the LORD God.

¹⁸هنگامی که برای من قربانی می کنی، نانی را که با خمیرمایه تهیه شده باشد برای من تقدیم نکن و چربی حیواناتی که در این عید برای من قربانی می کنی نباید تا صبح روز بعد باقی بماند.

¹⁸Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.

¹⁹هر سال میوۀ نو محصولات زمین خود را به خانۀ خداوند، خدای خود بیاور. بزغاله را در شیر مادرش نپز.»

¹⁹The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

²⁰«من یک فرشته را پیشاپیش تو می فرستم تا تو را در راه محافظت کند و به سرزمینی هدایت کند که برای تو آماده کرده ام.

²⁰Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

²¹به سخنان او گوش بده و از اوامر او پیروی نما. از او تمرد نکن، زیرا سرکشی تو را نخواهد بخشید، چونکه او فرستادۀ من است و نام من بر اوست.

²¹Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

²²اما اگر از او اطاعت کنی و آنچه را که به تو هدایت داده ام بجا آوری، آنگاه من دشمنِ دشمنان تو و مخالفِ مخالفان تو خواهم بود.

²²But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

²³فرشتۀ من پیشاپیش تو می رود و ترا به سرزمین اموریان، حِتیان، فرزیان، کنعانیان، حویان و یبوسیان هدایت می کند و من همۀ آن ها را از بین می برم.

²³For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.

²⁴در مقابل خدایان آن ها سجده نکن و از پرستش آن ها بپرهیز. در مراسم مذهبی آن ها شرکت نکن. ستون های آن ها را بکلی خراب و نابود ساز و بت های شان را بشکن.

²⁴Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

²⁵خداوند، خدای خود را عبادت کن و او نان و آب ترا برکت می دهد و بیماری را از میان تو دور می کند.

²⁵And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

²⁶در سرزمین تو هیچ زنی نقصان نکرده و نازایی وجود نخواهد داشت. من به تو عمر طولانی می بخشم.

²⁶There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

²⁷من ترس خود را پیش روی تو بر مردمی که از سرزمین آن ها عبور می کنی مستولی می کنم. اقوامی را که با آن ها می جنگی آشفته و سراسیمه می سازم. کاری می کنم که تمام دشمنانت از تو بگریزند.

²⁷I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

²⁸با زنبورهای که پیش روی تو می فرستم، حویان، کنعانیان و حِتیان را از سر راهت دور می کنم.

²⁸And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.

²⁹البته آن ها را تا یک سال بیرون نمی رانم مبادا آن سرزمین به ویرانه ای تبدیل شود و تعداد جانوران درنده بیش از حد زیاد گردد،

²⁹I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.

³⁰بلکه آن ها را به تدریج بیرون می کنم تا جمعیت شما زیاد شود و تمام زمین را تصرف کنید.

³⁰By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.

³¹حدود و سرحد سرزمین شما را از بحیرۀ احمر تا سواحل بحر مدیترانه و از صحرای جنوب تا دریای فرات وسعت می بخشم و به شما کمک می کنم تا ساکنان آنجا را شکست داده بیرون برانید.

³¹And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

³²با آن ها و خدایان ایشان عهد و پیمانی مبند.نگذار آن ها در سرزمین شما زندگی کنند، مبادا تو را علیه من تحریک کنند تا خدایان ایشان را بپرستی و در دامی گرفتار شوی.»

³²Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

³³نگذار آن ها در سرزمین شما زندگی کنند، مبادا تو را علیه من تحریک کنند تا خدایان ایشان را بپرستی و در دامی گرفتار شوی.»

³³They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
