¹کلام خداوند بر من نازل شد:

¹The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

²«ای انسان خاکی، این مرثیه را برای صور که یک بندر بحری و مرکز تجارتی کشورهای ساحلی است، بخوان و بگو خداوند متعال می فرماید: ای شهر صور، تو ادعا می کنی که زیباترین شهرها هستی.

²Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;

³سرحدات تو تا وسط بحر می رسد؛ معمارانت ترا مثل یک کشتی زیبا آباد کرده اند.

³And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.

⁴تخته هایت را از درختان صنوبر کوه حِرمون و دکلهایت را از سروهای لبنان ساخته اند.

⁴Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.

⁵برای ساختن بیلچه هایت از چوب بلوط باشان کار گرفته اند. عرشه ات را از چوب شمشاد سواحل قبرس ساخته، آن را با عاج زینت داده اند.

⁵They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.

⁶بادبان هایت را از بهترین پارچه های کتانی خامکدوزی مصری که علامۀ کشتی های تو است، ساخته اند. سایبان بنفش و ارغوانی ات را از جزیرۀ قبرس آورده اند.

⁶Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; the company of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.

⁷بیلچه زنان تو از مردم صیدون و اَرواد هستند و کشتی رانان تو ماهرترین اشخاص سرزمین خودت می باشند.

⁷Fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was that which covered thee.

⁸نجاران کشتی مردان ماهر و آزمودۀ جبیل هستند و دریا نوردان با کشتی های پُر از مال التجاره برای معامله پیش تو می آیند.

⁸The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy mariners: thy wise men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots.

⁹مردان جنگجوی کشورهای فارس، لیدیه و لیبیا در سپاه تو خدمت می کنند. بخاطری که آن ها سپر و کلاهخود خود را بر دیوارهایت آویزان می کنند تو افتخار می کنی.

⁹The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to occupy thy merchandise.

¹⁰سپاهیان اَرواد بدور حصارهایت پهره می دهند و مردان جماد بر برجهایت دیده بانی می کنند. سپرهای خود را بر دیوارها می آویزند و زیبائی ترا کامل می سازند.

¹⁰They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy comeliness.

¹¹ترشیش با تو رابطۀ تجارتی دارد. تو از آنجا نقره، آهن و سرب را در بدل مال التجارۀ خود وارد می کنی.

¹¹The men of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have made thy beauty perfect.

¹²یاوان، توبال و مِاشِک هم با تو تجارت می کنند. تاجران آن ها غلامان و آلات مسی را می آورند و بعوض آن ها پیداوار ترا با خود می برند.

¹²Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs.

¹³مردم توجَرمه اسپهای بارکش و اسپهای جنگی و قاطر را با اموال تو تبادله می کنند.

¹³Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in thy market.

¹⁴تاجران رودُس هم با تو معاملۀ تجارتی دارند. بازار تو در بسا کشورهای ساحلی است. عاج و چوب آبنوس را در بدل اموال تو وارد می کنند.

¹⁴They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.

¹⁵بخاطر اجناس فراوانت، ادوم با تو رابطۀ تجارتی برقرار کرد. سوداگران آن ها زمرد، تکه های بنفش و گلدوزی، پارچه های نفیس کتانی، مرجان و لعل را با اجناس تو معاوضه می کنند.

¹⁵The men of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and ebony.

¹⁶یهودا و اسرائیل هم با تو معاملۀ تجارتی دارند. آن ها گندم، حلوا، عسل، روغن زیتون و ادویه را بعوض اموال تو وارد می کنند.

¹⁶Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they occupied in thy fairs with emeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate.

¹⁷تاجران دمشق اجناس گوناگونی از تو خریدند و بعوض آن ها شراب حلبون و پشم سفید برایت آوردند.

¹⁷Judah, and the land of Israel, they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm.

¹⁸مردم ودان و یاوان آهن خام، دارچینی و نیشکر را با اجناس پیداوار تو تبادله می کنند.

¹⁸Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon, and white wool.

¹⁹سوداگران دَدان پوش زین برای اسپهایت می آورند.

¹⁹Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in thy fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market.

²⁰عربها و بزرگان قیدار که معامله دار دلخواه تو هستند، بره و قوچ و بز را برایت وارد می کنند.

²⁰Dedan was thy merchant in precious clothes for chariots.

²¹تجار سبا و رَعمه با تو تجارت می کنند و بهترین انواع ادویه، جواهرات و طلا را با اجناس تو تبادله می کنند.

²¹Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with thee in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they thy merchants.

²²تاجران حَران، کنه، عدن، سبا، آشور و کلمد معامله داران تو هستند.

²²The merchants of Sheba and Raamah, they were thy merchants: they occupied in thy fairs with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.

²³آن ها برای فروش لباسهای فاخر، پارچه های نفیس بنفش و گلدوزی، قالینهای رنگارنگ، همراه با طناب و ریسمانهای تابیده و مضبوط پیش تو می آیند.

²³Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur, and Chilmad, were thy merchants.

²⁴کشتیهای ترشیشی اموال تجارتی را برای تو حمل می کنند. تو مثل یک کشتی پُر از اجناس گوناگون هستی.

²⁴These were thy merchants in all sorts of things, in blue clothes, and broidered work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords, and made of cedar, among thy merchandise.

²⁵اما وقتی ملاحانت ترا به وسط بحر برانند، باد شرقی ترا در اعماق بحر درهم می شکند.

²⁵The ships of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the midst of the seas.

²⁶ثروت و اموال و تاجرانت همراه با ملاحان، کشتی رانان، مردان جنگی و همه کسانی که در تو سوار هستند، در روزی که برای تباهی تو تعیین شده است، در اعماق بحر غرق می شوند.

²⁶Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath broken thee in the midst of the seas.

²⁷از فریاد ملاحان تو سواحل بحر تکان می خورند.

²⁷Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, and in all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.

²⁸همه کارکنان کشتی، کشتی را ترک می کنند و به ساحل می روند و برای تماشا می ایستند.

²⁸The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy pilots.

²⁹بخاطر تو شیون و ناله را سرمی دهند، به تلخی می گریند، خاک را برسر خود باد کرده بر خاکستر می نشینند.

²⁹And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land;

³⁰سرهای خود را می تراشند، لباس ماتم می پوشند، به تلخی جان برایت ماتم می گیرند

³⁰And shall cause their voice to be heard against thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes:

³¹و در غم تو این مرثیه را می خوانند: «هیچ کسی مثل صور در وسط بحر نابود نشده است.

³¹And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.

³²وقتی مال التجارۀ تو به خارج صادر می شد، اقوام زیادی را سیر می کرد. پادشاهان روی زمین را با اجناس فراوان صادراتی ات ثروتمند می ساختی.

³²And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?

³³اما حالا در هم شکستی و در اعماق بحر فرورفتی. اموال و کارکنانت هم با تو غرق شدند.»

³³When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou filledst many people; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise.

³⁴تمام ساکنین ساحل از دیدن وضع رقتبار تو حیران مانده اند و پادشاهان شان وحشتزده و پریشان شده اند.تاجران کشورها بحالت افسوس می خورند، زیرا تو به سرنوشت غم انگیزی دچار گردیدی و برای همیشه نیست و نابود شدی.»

³⁴In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy merchandise and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall.

³⁵تاجران کشورها بحالت افسوس می خورند، زیرا تو به سرنوشت غم انگیزی دچار گردیدی و برای همیشه نیست و نابود شدی.»

³⁵All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.

³⁶The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt be any more.
