1بعد از دو سال که از این جریان گذشت، فرعون در خواب دید که در کنار دریای نیل ایستاده است،
1And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.
2که هفت گاو چاق و چله و براق از دریای نیل بیرون آمدند و در میان علف ها مشغول چریدن شدند.
2And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favored kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.
3سپس هفت گاو دیگر بیرون آمدند که لاغر و استخوانی بودند. این گاوها در مقابل گاو های دیگر در کنار دریا ایستادند.
3And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favored and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.
4گاو های لاغر گاو های چاق را خوردند. در این موقع فرعون از خواب بیدار شد.
4And the ill favored and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favored and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.
5او دوباره خوابید و خواب دیگری دید که: هفت خوشۀ گندم پُر بار بر یک ساقه روئید.
5And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.
6بعد از آن هفت خوشۀ گندم دیگر که باریک و از باد صحرا پژمرده شده بودند روئیدند
6And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.
7و خوشه های بی بار، آن هفت خوشۀ پُر بار را بلعیدند. در این موقع فرعون از خواب بیدار شد و فهمید که خواب دیده است.
7And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.
8صبح آن روز فرعون پریشان بود. پس امر کرد تا همۀ جادوگران و دانشمندان مصری را حاضر کنند. سپس خواب خود را برای آن ها بیان کرد. ولی هیچ کدام نتوانست خواب فرعون را تعبیر کند.
8And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.
9در آن موقع رئیس ساقی ها به فرعون گفت: «امروز خطاهای گذشته ام بیادم آمد.
9Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:
10وقتی فرعون بر من و سرپرست نانوا ها قهر شد و ما را به محبس قوماندان گارد انداختند.
10Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker:
11یک شب هردوی ما خواب دیدیم که تعبیر های مختلفی داشت.
11And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.
12یک جوان عبرانی هم در آنجا بود که غلام قوماندان گارد بود. ما خوابهای خود را به او گفتیم و او آن ها را برای ما تعبیر کرد.
12And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.
13همه چیز همانطوری که او گفته بود اتفاق افتاد. مرا به شغل سابقم مقرر کردید و سرپرست نانوا ها را به قتل رسانیدید.»
13And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.
14فرعون فرستاد تا یوسف را فوراً از محبس بیرون بیاورند. یوسف ریش خود را تراشید و لباس خود را تبدیل نمود و بحضور فرعون آمد.
14Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.
15فرعون به او گفت: «من خوابی دیده ام که هیچ کس نتوانست آنرا تعبیر کند. به من گفته اند که تو می توانی خوابها را تعبیر کنی.»
15And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.
16یوسف در جواب گفت: «اعلیحضرتا، من نمی توانم. اما خدا قدرت تعبیر را می بخشد.»
16And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.
17فرعون گفت: «خواب دیدم که در لب دریای نیل ایستاده ام.
17And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:
18هفت گاو چاق و چله و براق از دریا بیرون آمدند و در میان علف ها مشغول چریدن شدند.
18And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favored; and they fed in a meadow:
19پس از آن هفت گاو دیگر بیرون آمدند که لاغر و استخوانی بودند، به طوری که تا آن وقت گاوی به آن لاغری در هیچ جای مصر ندیده بودم.
19And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favored and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:
20گاو های لاغر، گاو های چاق را خوردند.
20And the lean and the ill favored kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:
21اما هیچ کس باور نمی کرد که آن ها آن گاو های چاق را خورده باشند، چون که فقط مثل پیشتر لاغر و بد شکل بودند. پس از خواب بیدار شدم.
21And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favored, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
22دوباره خوابیدم و خواب دیدم که هفت خوشۀ پُر بار گندم بر یک ساقه روئیدند.
22And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:
23بعد از آن هفت خوشۀ دیگر که بی بار و از باد صحرا پژمرده شده بودند روئیدند.
23And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:
24خوشه های پژمرده خوشه های پُر بار را بلعیدند. من خواب را برای جادوگران تعریف کردم. اما هیچ یک از آن ها نتوانست آنرا برای من تعبیر کند.»
24And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.
25یوسف به فرعون گفت: «هر دو خواب یک معنی دارند. خدا از آنچه می خواهد بکند به شما خبر داده است.
25And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath showed Pharaoh what he is about to do.
26هفت گاو چاق هفت سال است و هفت خوشۀ پُر بار هم هفت سال است و هر دو خواب شما یکی است.
26The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.
27هفت گاو لاغر و هفت خوشۀ بی بار که از باد صحرا پژمرده شده بودند، هفت سال قحطی و خشکسالی هستند.
27And the seven thin and ill favored kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.
28مقصد همان است که به فرعون گفتم. خدا از آنچه می خواهد بکند شما را آگاه ساخته است.
28This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he showeth unto Pharaoh.
29مدت هفت سال در تمام مصر فراوانی می شود.
29Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:
30بعد از آن، مدت هفت سال قحطی می آید.
30And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;
31به طوری که آن هفت سال فراوانی فراموش می شود. زیرا قحطی سرزمین مصر را نابود می کند. قحطی بقدری شدید می شود که اثری از آن سال های فراوانی باقی نمی ماند.
31And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.
32معنی اینکه دو مرتبه خواب دیده اید این است که این امر از طرف خدا مقرر گردیده و به زودی اتفاق می افتد.
32And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
33حالا باید شخصی را که دانا و حکیم باشد انتخاب نمائید و او را مأمور کنید
33Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
34تا به اتفاق یک عده ای دیگر در سراسر مصر در تمام مدت هفت سال فراوانی یک پنجم محصولات زمین را جمع آوری کنند.
34Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
35امر کن تا تمام غله ها را در سال های فراوانی جمع کرده و آن ها را زیر نظر شما در انبار شهرها ذخیره و نگهداری کنند.
35And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.
36این آذوقه ها برای تأمین خوراک مردم در سال های قحطی ذخیره شود تا مردم از گرسنگی هلاک نشوند.»
36And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.
37فرعون و همۀ اهل دربار، این پیشنهاد را پسندیدند.
37And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
38پس فرعون به آن ها گفت: «ما هرگز کسی را بهتر از یوسف پیدا نمی کنیم. او مردی است که روح خدا در او هست.»
38And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
39پس به یوسف گفت: «خدا همۀ این چیزها را به تو نشان داده است، پس کاملاً معلوم است که حکمت و فهم تو از همه زیادتر است.
39And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath showed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:
40من تو را در سراسر کشور مأمور اجرای این کار می کنم و تمام مردم از فرمان تو اطاعت می کنند. بعد از من، تو دومین مرد قدرتمند این کشور هستی، ولی چون من صاحب تخت و تاج هستم، مقام من از تو بالا تر است.
40Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.
41اکنون تو را صدراعظم مصر مقرر می کنم.»
41And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.
42فرعون انگشتر خود را که روی آن مُهر مخصوص فرعون بود از دست خود کشید و به دست یوسف کرد و چپن کتانی قیمتی ای را به جانش و یک طوق طلا بر گردن او کرد.
42And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;
43بعد دومین عراده گادی خود را به یوسف داد تا سوار شود و گارد احترام در پیشروی او می رفتند و فریاد می کردند: «زانو بزنید، زانو بزنید.» به این ترتیب یوسف صدراعظم مصر شد.
43And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.
44فرعون به او گفت: «من فرعون هستم، در سراسر مصر هیچ کس حق ندارد بدون اجازۀ تو دست یا پای خود را دراز کند.»
44And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.
45پس فرعون اسم یوسف را صفنات فعنیح گذاشت و برای او زنی گرفت به نام اسنات که دختر فوتی فارع، کاهن شهر اون بود.
45And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.
46یوسف سی ساله بود که به خدمت فرعون مشغول شد. او قصر فرعون را ترک نموده در سرتاسر مصر سفر کرد.
46And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.
47در مدت هفت سال اول، زمین محصول بسیار داد
47And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls.
48و یوسف تمام محصولاتی را که جمع آوری می کرد در شهرها ذخیره می نمود. او در هر شهر آذوقه را از اطراف همان شهر جمع آوری و ذخیره می کرد.
48And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.
49غله به اندازۀ ریگ های بحر فراوان بود به طوری که یوسف دیگر آن ها را حساب نمی کرد.
49And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.
50قبل از اینکه سال های قحطی برسد، یوسف از اسنات صاحب دو پسر شد.
50And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.
51او گفت: «خدا تمام سختی ها و خانواده ام را از یاد من برده است.» پس اسم پسر اول خود را منسی گذاشت.
51And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.
52او همچنین گفت: «خدا در سرزمینی که در آن سختی کشیدم به من فرزندانی داده است.» پس پسر دوم خود را افرایم نامید.
52And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.
53هفت سال فراوانی در سرزمین مصر به پایان رسید
53And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended.
54و هفت سال قحطی، همان طور که یوسف گفته بود شروع شد. قحطی در کشور های دیگر هم شروع شد، اما در سرزمین مصر آذوقه فراوان بود.
54And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.
55وقتی مصری ها گرسنه می شدند نزد فرعون می رفتند و از او خوراک می خواستند. فرعون هم به آن ها امر می کرد که پیش یوسف بروند و هر چه او به آن ها می گوید انجام دهند.
55And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do.
56قحطی به سختی سراسر مصر را فرا گرفت و یوسف تمام انبارها را باز کرده و غله را به مصریان می فروخت.مردم از سراسر دنیا به مصر می آمدند تا از یوسف غله بخرند زیرا قحطی همه جا را گرفته بود.
56And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.
57مردم از سراسر دنیا به مصر می آمدند تا از یوسف غله بخرند زیرا قحطی همه جا را گرفته بود.
57And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.
